Severin got his million dollar contract when he was at the top of the charts in the Boston market. The fact that he's 15th now is probably the real reason they dropped his show. Management probably said to each other, "This guy is 15th now, and we're paying him how much???".
By the way, whatever he got paid came from advertisers that he was able to hold an audience for (at least for a time), so don't be criticizing him for making a good living.
