All the punisher films have their good points, but they all seem to miss the mark. I still think they haven't done the character justice. Looks like the studios still play it safe and don't spend on this character like they do Ironman or Spiderman. And the spinning around on the light while shooting was a bit dorky as well. I also think Stevenson is a bit too small to play the character.

Ray Stevenson by far was the best casting choice for Frank Castle. It wasn't his fault that the movie didn't do as well as it should have. The Punisher needs a director similar to Quenton Tarantino and Martin Scorsese put together. Unfortunately there will never be a great Punisher movie done until Marvel Studios do it themselves. The only way to redeem The Punisher for now is cameo him in upcoming Marvel Studios movies.

When he first appears Ray Stevenson sets the tone Punisher is a ba Antihero much like his Max Punisher counterpart. The best accurate depiction of Punisher, and I will see this movie plenty of more times because it's excellent.

Punisher basically seemed like a protagonist Jason Voorhees killing his foes in different brutal ways, not blinking at all, and with absolute ease.

Frank shows more emotions in this 1 movie than all of the MAX comics combined.

Hardly any of the shown villains have their personality traits from the comics, espically Maginty.

Maginty was a little sissy scum-fuck not worth the bullets Frank drilled into him.

Awesome music and violence does not make up for bad production, or bad post editing.

So, Hensleigh didn't screw it up? Oh, no! Hensleigh's Punisher was soooo perfect! His mind games were sooo nail-biting! Making one fight scene rather than ten is very satisfying for action fans! Watching Fake Frank duel Travolta in a high-noon pistol match rather than blow his fucking face off with a thousand bullets was an exciting conclusion to the movie known as The Manipulator! Yes, Hensleigh is an awesome director! Slow, stale movements are the fucking solution to Frank's problems! YAY!

Are you serious, Paintedawg? You thought Jonathan Hensleigh was a good director for TJ Punisher? If he was truly creative, he would've read the comics, blend it with his botched story, and give it a lot more action! Hensleigh would've still failed, but it would've been a good attempt on the Punisher. Lexi looked back on the comics and converted it into a soon-to-be Punishing masterpiece. Jane is a Victoria's Secret model while Stevenson will be a real powerhouse worthy of Frank's name.
