This scene is just cruel. You start off going "oh yeah, kids film, they'll be fine" and then they're all staring at the bowels of Hell holding hands. And it goes on too long. You get about three minutes in and I was CONVINCED they were dead, it was the only way it could end. I will never get over that trauma.
I know it's "only" a CGI movie...but this is, without a doubt, one of the most emotionally powerful scenes I have ever witnessed in a film. I saw the movie with my entire immediate family (wife, sister, niece, parents) and I don't think there was a dry eye in the lot of us when Woody and company bravely faced what they thought was their final fate. As another person said...I only hope I can be one bit as brave when faced with my own seeming demise. Incredible scene in an incredible film.

Damn fine filmmaking though...

The Claw chooses who will go and who will stay. They were clearly chosen to go onto a better place.

Everyone admit it.
When you saw it in theaters, you said the same thing-

@KajexFiredrake I proudly admit that I said it. I even did a claw-like motion when the aliens said it.
