You said how you were allowed to have a pet meerkat in the UK? How much do they cost and where can I get one? are they good pets? Roughly how much do they cost to look after? Should I get one or two to start with and are they easy to train? Thank you! your meerkat is adorable!!! >.<
@anintelligentamerica People in america own monkeys, tigers and other animals that people say aren't meant to be there and you have a go at a person who by the looks of it takes loads of care of their animal. Tigers aren't meant to be pets, they're cute but do people tell them off for it? So think before you speak cause dogs, cats and horses etc were also once wild animals that had to be domesticated.
Lucky... 8] in the US we have to get a biology liscense to own a pet meerkat(which I will be getting :)) but your meerkat looks very healthy and happy which shows you are taking good care of your meerkat XD
@SoldierBingFilms yeah you can i guess depends on the country really but i wouldnt advice it they need to be with other meerkats and in a normal house they can destroy ur home i suggest if ur lochal zoo has any meerkats offer to sponser one for a year thats what i do
they are so cute. I always wanted one as a companion, but I dont know if they are legal in the US. I also dont know where to get one if they were legal in the US.
Meerkats bite for all sorts of reasons and sometimes just for fun. They have long and very sharp canines that easily puncture the skin. Bites tend to go in deep and they easily become infected. They heal slowly and can be very painful.
No human can give a single meerkat the constant care and attention it craves - many literally go insane, most probably from anxiety over lack of social contact. Others self-harm. One meerkat we knew of was so upset that it literally chewed its own paws off.
