Good job!! You didn't forget Old School such as 27th Lancers...they were the pioneers of excellent color guards..you did your homework and I'm impressed!
This is my third year of Color Guard and I'm a senior in high school... I want to do DCI when I graduate, and I know I can probably get in, but it's scary. I love it so much and I don't think I can possibly give it up though!
@TheTARDISTimeLord do it :) i marched blue stars this past summer and it was easily the best summer of my life. sure some days were extremely hard (not to mention unbearably hot) but everyone in the corp and guard is there pushing you through the rough days and encourage you to push yourself. hope to see you next summer wherever you choose to march!
just great , just speechless here go colorguard i will definiteley do it in the future for SURE. Right now in the band segment but now reaaally uneasy about staying there . Thank you so much the deep brushing chills this video brought. Favorite. ♥ DCI colorguard and all alllll around the world . Wish i were around for the days where music was fresh and, and not spoofed alot of the time like it is today.. I love this viddeo TRIPLE thumbs up . To powerful to replay, going to bed ;D
I just started color guard this year and once you know what you're donig and you learn the choreography it is SO much fun! i think its something everyone should have the chance to experience, i couldn't be happier with it. its also great to see the 'professional' performances, they always look so great, not just the older ones but lots of the modern ones too.
@ClassicaFan I am going to try out for the color guard team for the first time. I am very excited. I haven't danced in a long time though so I am also a little bit nervous.
@cayman144 I wouldn't worry, you just have to do your best. plus, its not all about the dance, a lot of it will be doing the work with a flag/object and moving with it. also, depending on where your trying out they might have something before to give you some info on what ur gonna be doin. I wouldn't be nervous, its lots of fun and definatly something to shoot for, and im sure you'll do great. : )
I enjoyed the "Olde School" stuff. However, the dancing and prancing stuff is not my cup of tea. I would love to find a copy of when the Phantom Regiment drum majors would walk through the the rifle line as the rifle line would pass the rifles in between them. I think that was 1977, maybe 1978. All I know and believe is that we were all very fortunate to have part of that incredible era.
Oh, how I miss those dayz!!!!!!!

@TheTARDISTimeLord
Definitely try out! I was very close to trying out myself, but I talked myself out of it. That is one thing that I do regret not doing.

Nice tribute. Would've liked to have seen a little of the '85 & '87 champions Spirit of Atlanta guards...
