When you zoom in how come you image doesn't get all blurry. I know I might sound slow xD But for the life of me I can't figure it out .__.

zooming in, it depends on how high the resolution of the image is. After you reach 100% zoom, it starts to get pixelated (aka blurry)

Using colour range thing just takes up more time and basically does the same thing as a the magic wand tool...

use the smudge or blur tool on the hair. it softens it. you can make it more "flowy" too.

What do you mean? Photoshop or the program to develop clothing? If you're talking about developing you have to purchase your avatar name..if you're talking about photoshop you have to buy it but you can download a trial of it for 30 days.

I will do a GIMP video at least by next week or so..so you can look out for that. And what do you mean by smoothing out hair? And also if you want to put a background behind your picture, make a new layer and make sure you drag it to the first layer ( meaning your transparency avi picture will be above the new layer you made ). And just add your background on your new layer :).
