All new cars in Canada 2006 and newer are all equipped with electronic disablers....car thefts are plunging. The only cars left to steal are older cars and their numbers are now approaching a minority. Car thefts will become eradicated in Canada within 15 years. I dont understand why other nations dont adopt similar requirements....does crime generate business or something/

just buy a childs running shoe fit with GPS there are many companies that have child tracking GPS systems. Just throw the pair of shoes in the trunk and locate when needed. About $5 a month

Also another problem is that it contains no cipers or encoding of the SRT signal. You need a dedicated single source signal. Therefore it is an extremely dangerous option because it can easily be hacked. Imagine if your driving along and #$@%!

Thats why in the uk you use a dedicated 'tracker' system where only the police can locate your vehicle.

this is not new!!! Same system/idea has been around since early makes of GSM phones. Same thing terrorists also use to set off bombs.

you can make it yourself by using 2 cell phones and a simple breaker circuit. When the car moves it sends you a text. When you phone it it stops the car.

If you want more complexity just get an FPGA and dump some code on there for any function u want.
