I have. Yeah lineup changes happen. But when you're literally the last man standing, maybe you should reevaluate how you run things. There were five other guys that contributed and made GNR what it is today. Now these guys cover it.

As for VR, at least they had success of their own. And despite Scott being gone, he and the guys are on good terms. He even recently said in an interview that he'd be more than willing to work with Slash again. Think Finck and Bucket feel the same way towards Axl?

"They didn't get popular because of a particular lineup" Geez man, were you not around in the 80s and early 90s? They were the most successful when they acted and recorded as a band. Not under one man's ruling. They used to play together because they wanted to, and every member contributed something amazing to it. Everyone had equal say, and to a lesser extent, in the UYI days too. Not it's a just a "band" frankensteined together to play the big hits of yesteryear for a profit.

GNR has always been a sort of a frankensteind band. Go do your research. Appetite was a bolt of lightning and was a miracle that it even got made since that line-up were a bunch of junkies at the time.

I'm not trying to argue, it's just that there can be no definitive, absolute pure 100% original line-up when it comes to GNR.

Better and This I Love have been played on the radio by the way an their from Democracy. Just because it's a hit doesn't mean it's good, vice versa.

Only all the other members cite Axl as the reason for their departure. That's the common thread of consistency here.

At least VR didn't milk the GNR name like Axl does now. They had one very successful album that had more success than Chinese Democracy and two hit singles. Chinese Democracy had zero hits. Nu GNR hasn't had any of that. They cover the old songs decently, but they'll always be second rate, and there's nothing like hearing the songs from the people who contributed to them.

Where are VR now? Everyone makes Axl to be so evil but why can't the past members of GNR regroup and keep a band together? Reason is that they are difficult too!

You should sleep soundly in the fact that you will never be forced to go see the new GNR line-up (one of several over the last 20 years) or listen to any of the new stuff.

Take comfort that Appetite, Lies, Illusions and Incident will always be there for you.

Tracii Guns didn't contribute anything significant to the GNR name, and he also wasn't in the band when they got signed and famous. The fact that the only new songs played on this tour are two old songs the current band contributed nothing to is pathetic. Again, talk to me when the Nu band has songs people go to shows to hear, instead of milking the band's name for all it's worth.

I'd say the name alone is significant since Guns came from LA Guns but your right they didn't get popular with Tracii Guns but they didn't get popular because of a guitar player or a particular line-up. Axl is GNR and to argue that is pointless because it's truth. Money would be the only thing to bring an old line-up back together but which one? By Axl haters logic, If you like GNR you now have all of the old band members side projects to listen too as well as GNR.  Win / Win!

I've seen GNR in Orlando and in Cincinnati this year and will see them again in Indianapolis and will want to see them again but the tour is coming to an end. I got to see them four times in the old days before I was 21 and think the Orlando show this year was the best I had ever seen them. God please let this line-up stick together to make another album or two and tour at least one more time in the midwest before Axl is too old. GNR Forever! God Bless Axl Rose!

I really thought I'd never get to see Guns N' Roses live as when I was born, the original lineup was just breaking up. But this show was so great, and it was awesome to get to see them. Did it have the sentimental value with Slash, Duff, etc.? No. But it was still a great show, and I loved it. Axl's singing far exceeded my expectations, and I truly believe it wasn't all about the money for this talented group of guys. Best concert I've ever seen.

But I actually got to be there last night, and was completely amazed!!! Axl Rose fucking rocked the house!! He sounded just like the good ol days! I'll pay some disrespect... Slash fans need to move on! All you AXL haters need to go back and check your history with all the original line up crap. Slash wasn't even the original guitar player, Tracii Guns was. Slash replaced Tracii Guns due to Tracii being missing in action a lot. I'm pretty sure the name GNR came from combining the names of Tracii's band LA Guns and Axl's band Hollywood Rose, hence Guns N Roses.

Thus meaning the rightful owner of the name Guns N Roses should be Axl and not anyone else. I can imagine and deal with seeing Axl with different line-ups under the GNR name since there have always been different line-ups but not some guitar player with a singer trying to belt out Axl vocals under the GNR name because it doesn't work hence Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver, etc. For as much as Axl may be difficult I'm sure the others are as equally difficult.
