  • @LChris6 WOoooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!

  • @LChris6 BRO WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE ROCK IS BACKKKKKKKK!! WOOOOOOOOOOO HE WILL KICK CENA''S ASS FOR SURE OMG!! FUCKING AWESOME BRO, MAYBE ONE DAY WE WILL SEE aUSTIN/ROCK IN THE RING AGAIN ATLEAST FOR ENTERTAINER WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • 10000 DOLLARS MICROPHONE LOL

  • I'll give it to you, overall Austin was better, but in 1999 I thought The Rock was better, mainly because I preferred him in '99 compared to his later years. Stone Cold was always Stone Cold so the fans never turned on him, while Rock started to water himself down after '99 and some fans weren't happy about that, 1998-1999 was when he was at his best IMO. While Ric Flair didn't have the mainstream appeal of Austin/Rock, I still think he is the biggest legend of them all.

  • i respect your opinion bro because flair forever will be one of the biggest ever. yeah the fans never turned on Austin thas for sure,i dont know why the fans did that with the rock ,he did a lot for the company and for sure he was a great entertainer. i think the fans they just tired about the rock living the company year after year and thats why they started to boo him everytime, but well He is a legend and no one cant argue that, but well Austin and rock is the greatest rivalry end of story.

  • @LChris6 yeah overall Austin was the bigger in wwe but like i say i always give credit to everyone not just AUSTIN

it was thanks TO THE ROCK, THE UNDERTAKER, HHH, HBK, FOLEY, MASKED KANE and others who really help to and entertain the fans like AUSTIN DID,,

AND I WILL SAY AGAIN THANKS ONE MORE TIME FOR THE HEROES WHO SAVED THE WWE AND THE HEROES WHO MAKE THE ATTITUDE ERA THE BEST OF THEM ALL!!

  • "You got about 18.,000 people calling you an asshole."

  • no matter how many times i watch those wwf atidute era videos i love it !!!!! whos agree thumbs up !!!!

  • @SuperTrueBastard oh hell yeah everyone agreeds on that THE ATTITUDE ERA IS THE BEST IN HISTORY!! IF YOU AGREED TO GIME A HELL YEAH!!!!!!!

  • @SuperTrueBastard yeah i agreed!!

  • So while Rock and Austin were huge during their era, their time at the top was very short, and a lot of fans today wouldn't really recognize them unless they watch some vids of them from the Attitude Era. Ric Flair on the other hand has been a major player throughout many wrestling eras, and is still a big name in TNA today although he's pretty much done as a wrestler.

  • @LChris6 thas my point bro, that Austin and rock yeah they might be not more years in wrestling that flair but the had more suceed than flair, yeah flair everyone knows about this guy,, but Austin and the rock are the most popular in wwe history even when they was just 6 years almost on the top they really elevated the bussines of sports entertainer to the top,, yeah maybe flair as a wrestler is better but as a superstar Austin and rock are better than flair by far.

  • Yeah, but others (HHH, Jericho, HBK, etc.) say Flair is the greatest. Flair is a bigger legend than Rock and Austin are, Flair was pretty much rivaling Hogan as the man of wrestling when they were in the primes. Rock/Austin were only big for 6 years, Flair has been big for over 20. A lot of the old school wrestling fans definitely know who Flair is, while they may or may not know Rock/Austin.

  • @LChris6 about HHH and HBK yeah maybe they think that Flair is the greatest but i doubt about jericho, because when Flair say that Austin is the biggest superstar in the history of the wwe on his speach in the hall of fame, jericho move his head like he was agreed with that statment dont get me wrong bro i love flair he is on of the top wrestlers ever, but cmon Austin/Rock was magic, and for sure who doesnt watch the Attitude era that was the best years on wwe everyone knows about austin and rock

  • Could of put your loga in the conrer or something, but thank you for uploading this dude :)

  • "first you give a page that Austin was over the rock in 2001 in wrestling forum and even you admited and know you say that is not true, hahahahahahaha bro bro bro,, like i say get overed and move on."

    *Sighs*

Again, Austin got the #1 spot for 2 reasons, Rock was gone long enough to be bumped down to #2 and he was the champion throughout the year, I never said a damn word about it "being wrong". If Rock was there for the entire year he would've taken the #1 spot, understand?

  • @LChris6 well thats just your opinion about 2001,, but bro cmon get overed,, ok yeah Austin is named the greatest of all times and the best seller ok big deal you know,, Austin and rock they are the best in the bussiness they even are best friends in real life, they even give credit eachother for what they did on the company,, his matches are the best in wwe history, his rivalry was magic, there never will be another like those two guys and for sure there never will be another attitude era again

  • Flair is also called the greatest of all time by a lot of wrestlers, as a matter of fact he gets called the greatest more than anyone in wrestling, including Austin. Austin will go down as one of the greatest though, no doubt about it.

  • @LChris6 well even flair named Austin the greatest of all times, so im not sure about flair about that fact,, in my eyes Austin And the rock are way bigger than flair by far, even i think flair will say that if someone ask him,, but for sure bro ric flair he is one of the man who revolutionized wrestling, he is one of the best ever, no one cant forgot the four horsement, believe that guy is one of the man why wrestling became so popular at the begining no doubt about it. wooooooooooooooooooooo

  • @LChris6 im just waiting of the rock been introduce to the hall of fame he deserve that spot to,, i think maybe on 2012 that will happen, he is one of my favorites ever,, and i know that maybe Austin can introduced him into the hall of fame that woul've amazing and epic,, Finally i will say Austin and the rock Hall Of Famers.

  • @LChris6 one more thing it was awesome cheering comments with you bro.

  • nooooooooooooooooooooooo Justin bieber will be the next guest in wrestlemania 27,, fuck that.

  • "dont by a liar bro, you say that austin sell more than the rock in 2001 because the rock was almost all year off,, you say that to DC316 and there are proves"

Austin didn't even sell more merchandise than The Rock in 2001, there's nothing to lie about. Austin wasn't as good of a merchandise seller as a heel, the reason he turned face after the Invasion angle was because his merchandise sales went down, there were numerous reports about it at the time.

  • @LChris6 hahaha you still sucks in facts,,, dont worry bro get overed me and Lerlialen just did,, AUSTIN AND ROCK FOR LIFE.

  • Ok, this is who I'm gonna break this down.

In '99, Rock had his own show "Smackdown", months before Austin was gone. This is clear indication that Rock was definitely a front runner with Austin instead of a sideshow like HHH and Undertaker. If Vince wanted too he could've just gave the show to Austin since he was still there, but he gave it to The Rock instead.

  • And I clearly said "Rock was gone long enough to be bumped down to #2." He was gone for 4 months, a main eventer gone for longer than a month is enough to be bumped down the list, if he were only gone for like 2 weeks it wouldn't have affected him, 4 months is too long for him to be #1 that year. That's why Austin wasn't even in the top draws list for 2000, he was barely there at all in the year. He returned at Unforgiven and still didn't have his first match back for another month.

  • @LChris6 first you give a page that Austin was over the rock in 2001 in wrestling forum and even you admited and know you say that is not true, hahahahahahaha bro bro bro,, like i say get overed and move on.

  • "

take the base out of ur voice when u talk to stone cold" lol classic attitude era

  • Comment removed

  • To Lerlialen1 & QuacykQuack1. No need to compare Rock and Austin, they are the two biggest stars to come out of the Attitude era, you'll be here all day debating it, like the whole IWC has for the last 6 years or so. Never ending discussion, Rock and Austin were simply head and shoulders above the rest, end it at that :)

    !!!

  • @PWisArt i agreed on that but this guys tried to give more credit to the rock than austin when that never happen, when even the rock himself named Austin as the man who change wwe. but for sure those two are my favorite ever.

  • Can I just add something off topic though, while looking through Rock vs HHH matches I noticed how Rock would almost always win by DQ against HHH. The only time Rock would win cleanly against him if they were paired with other people. However, HHH has pinned Rock cleanly many times. Which leads me to believe that those rumours about HHH and Michaels making Rock's life hell and not wanting to go over for Rock are probably true.

  • So the common theme in most of 1999 was Rock and HHH. I got the Smackdown numbers for that year too...And PPV numbers for all of Attitude era from 1998-2002. The only records broken during the Attitude era was during 2000 with PPV buyrates and 1999 for regular tv ratings and programming which I listed just Raw...

Which tells me that Rock was in fact number 1 in 1999, the year where both guys were at their peaks. Vince can talk up Austin all he likes, numbers are there for all to see.

  • @Lerlialen1 what matters is all the documentals that wwe shows to the fans to proved that Austin is the greatest wwe superstar of all times,Vince name Austin After wrestlemani 21 in hollywood as the man who broke every record in the history of the wwe,so lets face it,, all the things that you want to say i respect your opinion, but the man who created all this guys(Austin and rock) is the man who really know about his records and he decided who is the best and he always name AUstin not just him

  • @owan316

And you know 2000 was their most financially successful year at the time right? They made more money that year than they did in '99, when Austin was there. Austin wasn't there for 10 months 2000, he should get very little credit for that year, if any at all.

  • @owan316 Like I said, of course Vince is going to say Austin because McMahon vs Austin storyline was the reason they won the Monday night wars. Austin is still with the WWE while Rock is not. It doesn't matter what VInce tries to say about records, because the numbers tell the real story. Stone Cold's first match back on Raw in 2000 was rated 4.9. Mind you Rock was fighting the same night too. The highest rating Raw show for 2000 was 7.4, Rock vs Shane McMahon.

  • @Lerlialen1 Like i say you just had words and is obviusly that you always will give more credit to the rock because is your favorite but thats not the reality of wwe,, and now your saying that the rock and vinve are wrong about what they say about austin named the man who revolutionized this bussiness(saying by the rock) and the greatest wwe superstar of all times (saying by mcmahon) is obviusly bro that your jelaous of that fact, and if you love wrestling you gonna deal with it forever. FACT

  • So you're telling the Austin 3:16 shirt sold more than any shirt Austin had in 1999? Isn't that kind've weird?

  • @TheDc316

So you didn't know he had an Austin 3:16 shirt in '01 then right?

  • @TheDc316

Wrestling Observer is the oldest wrestling source around you know, I'm pretty sure they know what the hell they're talking about. They're not like the average Raw or Smackdown magazine.

  • @LChris6 continued

THE ROCK RETURN 2 weeks after SUMMERSLAM 2001

SUMMERSLAM 2001(The rock beat booker T)

NO MERCY 2001(The rock vs Shane and Booker T)

    SURVIVOR SERIES 2001 (TEAM WWE (rock/taker/kane/jericho/big show)VS THE ALLIANCE(Austin/angle/RVD,shane/booker T))

VENGEANCE 2001(Jericho beat Austin and the rock at the same night)

do you see bro the rock was in 2001 almost 8 months almost all the year and even Austin that was a heel almost all that year he was the top seller.

  • @TheDc316

Yep, the Austin 3:16 T-shirt in 2001 had a different design, but it was the exact same name. It sold as much as the first, so the shirt got put at the top. Rock didn't have any T-shirt that had the same name. The only one that was close was Rock's Flag Just Bring it shirt, but it was a different name.

  • @QuackyQuack1 ...are you kidding me...the Austin 3:16 t shirts sold every other t shirt by 1999...don't post stuff which didn't happen just to prove your point right man!

  • Yeah, I was about to take him seriously until I remembered what magazine he was talking about.

Apparently Torrie, Sable, and Jim Cornette were bigger draws than Hulk Hogan ever was.

  • @QuackyQuack1 hogan on merchandise never was that bigger because off his era, he never had all the wwe shopzone and all that kind of stuffs,, but in his prime he was the top seller almost 4 years straight.

  • Oh really!

So let's see, HHH is ranked higher than The Rock.

    No Hulk Hogan.

Torrie Wilson, Sable, and Jim Cornette were in the top 20.

Yeah, that's very legit proof my man!

  • @owan316

Ok "Top 20 most powerful wrestlers in wwe". That's the magazine.

    What was Undertaker's merchandise numbers?

  • @1KoolCM whattttttt i just told you that thats the name of the magazine i buy it in 2004 a year after the magazine was available,, i just told you and they say just the numbers of the top sellers and raitings since 1996 to 2001,, bro i give you names, facts, years, what the hell the you want more than that. when i give you real facts,,, you believe all what LCRIS say when i even discovered that guy making lies and all his comments, and you know that he is a big Liar

  • @owan316

You said "20 Most Powerful Wrestlers in WWE ", right? That was the Dec 2003 issue you're referring to, I looked it up and it seemed laughable. If it has Torrie Wilson in the top 20, I refuse to take it seriously.

  • @1KoolCM bro one more thing i had almost 24 years old i watch wwe since 1990 to nowdays, i dont watch wwe nowdays shit they really suck, and i give you a lot a facts that not even a 12 year kid cant even know, but if i told you good things about the rock you will believe everything,Right? cmon men i just trying to give you real facts that really happen in wwe,, i want to teach you something about the company, the rock is my second favorite ever,, But Austin is the top seller ever and the greatest

  • Comment removed

  • @owan316

How come you didn't admit Rock was #1 over Austin in 1999?

  • Comment removed

  • no accsident becaus hhh was in the corpriet ministrey

  • How old are you anyways, you sure don't type like your mature so I doubt you're mature in reality.

  • @QuackyQuack1 jajajajaa im more mature than you,, see the facts you not even admit things hahahah.

  • @owan316

Really how old are you, I know you're not really 23.

  • I still want to the know the magazine, tell what magazine it's from and I'll leave you alone, until then I'll keep messing with you.

  • @1KoolCM jajajajajajaja theres and article off the monday night wars on a magazine that say the number of austin and many others after they beat wcw and it call 20 most powerful people in wwe history. check it out i dont remember if thats the full name but thats basically the name. i buy it in 2004! and i buy two the monday night war dvd that dont say numbers but basically say That Austin was the man who saved wwe and the most succesfull guy in wwe history.

  • @owan316

You still have it now, if you do tell me the actual name. If you don't have it anymore I'm not believing you.

  • So this sorry ass fuck admits that such magazine doesn't exist.

    Hogan #1, Rock #2, Austin #3

    Wrestling observer says so!

  • @QuackyQuack1 Austin 1 , rock 2 hogan 3....Fans say so

  • @TheDc316

Fans have opinions, wrestling observer doesn't.

  • @LChris6 well fans made wrestling. wrestling observer didn't

  • @TheDc316

Plus that's just 1 T-shirt. Do you have the sales of who sold more merchandise between the 2 in '99, this isn't about who had the highest T-shirt sales of all time, this is about the year 1999?

  • @TheDc316

And lil history lesson, fans didn't make wrestling, the greeks did. The fans were just interested in it.

  • @LChris6 also bro you say that in 2001 Austin sell more than the rock just because the rock was all the year off, let me tell you something bro the biggest lie ever, let me tell you the facts of that year ok lets be REAL; let me tell about the rock in 2001 all his appeared

    including all RAW AND SMACKDOWNS

ROYAL RUMBLE 2001 The rock participated

NO WAY OUT 2001 (rock beat angle)

    WRESTLEMANIA 17(Austin beat the rock)

HE leaves the company after the Raw is war on the steel cage with austin

  • @owan316

"also bro you say that in 2001 Austin sell more than the rock just because the rock was all the year off"

I said he was gone enough of the year to be bumped down to #2, I never said he was gone almost the whole year.

  • @LChris6 dont by a liar bro, you say that austin sell more than the rock in 2001 because the rock was almost all year off,, you say that to DC316 and there are proves

  • @LChris6 do you see bro now who is the liar,, im not trying to fight you guys , just my point that lets be real thats all,, i admit to you that in late 1999 yeah the rock sell more than austin on merchandise,, but my arg is that Austin is the top seller in wwe history and you not even admit that, atleast get my respect and be a men. admit reality Austin nowdays is the greatest of all times and the man who broke every record in the history of the wwe not just saying by me but all wwe workers bro.

  • @owan316

Ok, if no Austin merchandise sales from 1999 are in this magazine then fuck it. If you said 1999 was his best year, a 1999 shirt should be on there, not the "What?!" shirt that came out when WWE was slipping in popularity in 2002.

  • @owan316 The year 2000 was the best year in the Attitude era. The ratings and buyrates for PPV proved that. That year was really all about Rock and HHH. I'm sorry but I must've missed that part about the records Austin broke? Oh and the 1999 year you said Austin was the reason why tv ratings were up? Let's see with that. I'll list the top 10 rated Raw shows for that year.

    1) 8.1 rating - Rock, Austin, Vince vs Shane, Taker and HHH.

    2) 7.2 rating - Owen Hart tribute show, Rock vs Val Venis

    ...

  • @Lerlialen1 im tired to give all of you facts when you not even really know about wwe,, and you get me wrong, the rock for sure is one of the man who really get the ratings go up i never say that he had nothing to do whith that, but like i say is that Austin was the main reason why ratings were higher as never before.

  • @owan316

And in that book where you're talking about top merchandise sales, why isn't any of Austin's merchandise from 1999 in there? Only going by the Austin 3:16 isn't enough to determine who was a bigger draw in 1999.

  • @owan316

And notice the ratings went downhill in 2001, especially the Smackdown ratings, and Austin was there the entire year. In 2000 Smackdown was getting record ratings and again, Stone Cold had jack shit to do with it since he wasn't there, it was literally "The Rock's show".

  • @QuackyQuack1 Exactly. And there was a reason why The Rock got his own show named after one of his lines, Smackdown. Vince is a smart man, he saw the popularity Rock was getting and capitalized on it. One thing I do hate the Rock for, is growing those Elvis sideburns because we had Rock wannabe's walking around with those damn things around here. Even all of Rock's catchphrases like jabroni, candy ass, lay the smackdown have somehow made it to everyday vocabulary amongst the young people esp.

  • @Lerlialen1

    Agreed there.

Vince played a huge part in the success with Austin around. When Austin was gone, Vince was gone most of the time too. He appeared here and there, but in 2000 he had very little involvement compared to 1999 where he was pretty much on TV nonstop. In 1999, The Rock and Austin, the 2 most over guys in the company, and Vince McMahon, the owner, were the reasons for the success. In 2000, it was pretty much The Rock as the most over guy.

  • @Lerlialen1

And you're right on another thing, Rock got his own show because Vince knew how popular he was at the time, his crowds pops in 1999 were no different than they were in 2000, in fact they was somewhat better because in 2000, I've read reports that some fans did boo him when he was the champion. If The Rock wasn't as over as he was, he would've just gave the show to Austin instead, it probably would've been "The Bottom Line", the same name of an old recap show WWE had years back.

  • @QuackyQuack1 Not only did Rock get his own show but he also got a PPV In your house show named after one of his signature moves the ROCK BOTTOM!

And you know you were a big thing when 10 years later the show that was created around you is still on the WWE roster. How many wrestlers can claim they had their own show? No one other than the Rock of course!

Vince is a very clever man indeed. He knew at the time Rock was his cash cow and milked him for all he's worth!

  • @Lerlialen1

And also do you know how Rock had as much to do with WWF's success in 1999 as Austin, in the crowd you saw mainly Austin and The Rock signs, a major sign that the crowd payed their money to see both guys. Usually the biggest draws of the company are determined by how many fan signs they have.

  • @Lerlialen1 yeah finally i agreed on final comment that you post me, is obviusly that i wasnt austin alone , the rock help a lot on the ratings and he was one of the reasons why fans start to wach the monday night war,, and is obviusly that Austin rated on raw were higher than never before,, The austin vs mcmahon rivalry is the biggest feud in the history of wwe, and why because that helps to beat wcw on the ratings,, you guys really understood everything i say the rock help a lot for sure

  • @owan316 Once again, please don't claim you give FACTS when you're bullshit claims about Austin being the reason 1999 ratings were high has been dispelled.

The numbers tell, that once a McMahon is facing off with someone, it was always going to rate high so I give credit to Vince there for seeing what the people wanted to see. The McMahon's getting their asses whooped.

People can claim all they like, who was better but fact is, once Rock became popular, Austin never got the no1 spot again.

  • @Lerlialen1

Well, Jericho, Undertaker, and HHH were over in 2000. But HHH was a heel, and Jericho and Undertaker weren't quite on the level of The Rock, although they got big pops. In 1999, The Rock and Austin were pretty much on the same level, with Rock coming out as the top draw by the time Survivor Series came around.

  • @Lerlialen1 and let me tell you what they say on the wwe magazine on the cover with austin after he did the comndened,,theres and article on that magazine who they compared Cena And Austin the top superstar from the past against the top superstar nowdays and this is the article:

Few have breathed the rarifiedair of wrestlemania main event, but this year cena just got through his third. how would he fare against Austin, WHO TOPPED THE SHOW IN WWE IN 1998, 1999 and 2001.

  • @owan316 continued...3) 7.1 rating - Rock vs Billy Gunn & Chyna handicap match.

4 & 5) two shows tied at 6.8 rating - First show, Rock vs HHH and Austin vs Undertaker...Second show, Rock vs HHH

6 & 7) two shows tied at 6.7 rating - First show, Rock vs HHH...Second show, Rock vs Undertaker.

    8) 6.6 rating - Christ Jericho WWF debut (middle of Rock promo)

9 & 10) two shows tied at 6.5 rating - First show, Rock vs Billy Gunn...Second show, New Age Outlaws & Xpac vs Rock, Mankind and Kane....

  • @Lerlialen1 you say that that the 7.2 rating it was thanks for the rock vs Val venis match hahahaha get me a break is obviusly that you just put ratings that had nothing to do whit then bro you really make me laugh,, you need to watch the monday night wars.and remeber this no matter all the trash you want to say, evryone in wwe including almost all the fans agreeds that austin is the greatest of all times let make this clear, and even the rock himself name Austin as the man who revolutionized wwe

  • @owan316

Maybe Rock said "Austin revolutionized it" because Rock was a heel in the beginning of it. The nWo revolutionized the Attitude Era in the first place, the nWo driving a monster truck in the arena back in way back in '96 was the reason you saw Austin doing it numerous times.

  • @owan316 Highest rated Raw show in 2001 was 5.7. After 2000, the ratings never went past 6.0 so what high ratings are you talking about that Austin was drawing in 7s and 6s in ratings? 8.1 is the only time it has ever gone past 8 rating. FACTS are Austin didn't break any records, but is credited for winning the ratings war between Nitro and Raw. That is not a record but what Rock said, he helped revolutionize WWE again. Learn to differentiate the two because it's confusing you obviously.

  • @Lerlialen1

True, it was Austin vs. McMahon, not Austin himself, that put them on top. Nearly feud Austin was involved in from up until Survivor Series '99 involved McMahon in one way or another, even if Austin wasn't feuding with Vince, Vince still played a big part in the storyline. In 2000 Rock didn't need Vince around to draw. Sure McMahon was part of the McMahon-Helmsley storyline, but he got involved in the middle of it and he was only apart of it for a few months, then he left again.

  • @Lerlialen1 continued

but austin was the biggest reason why fans choose RAW over Nitro,, and not just because im saying but is because there a documentals that prove that statment,, i know you guys like the rock,, but dont try to bring facts that had nothing to do with it Because even the like i say the rock himself name Austin as the man who change wwe forever,, and no bro i had the proves what the rock really say and it was that Austin revolutionized this bussiness and i proud of him

  • @TheDc316 totally true, if we talking about the fans stone cold will be Over by far,, if we talking about History the true order is ,,, 1.- Austin,, 2.- Hogan,, 3.- the rock

why is that we all know that Austin and hogan had his own era,, Hogan had the federation years in that era this company they really started to became popular and culminate a new road to the sucees, and than the Austin era know as the Attitude era who really was the period that the company was saved

  • @owan316

    @owan316

Ok, any Austin merchandise sales from '99 in this book? You said '99 was Austin's biggest year, you telling me none of his T-shirts from '99 were on the list?

  • @owan316

Rock wasn't just selling more merch than him in late '99, he was selling more merch in the summer too, when Austin was champ while Rock and Billy Gunn were feuding over "kissing ass". Maybe after 1999 Austin was better, I wasn't even a fan of Rock's late 2000-late 2002 stuff that much. But in 1999, Rock>Austin.
