@nikkle2 when the 2.1 upgrade will be released for spica in all regions this phone will become from a larva a butterfly to say so . Spica has opengl 2.0 acceleration but only android 2.1 suports it . The same with bluetooth. The phone , i think it's almost flawless with the exception of the back pannel . The problems come from the operating sistem witch is not perfect as normal , tough i think is one of the best .

Never ever will I buy Samsung or Google phones. They are also not providing any updates to 2.1 also. Apparently you are not the only one having problems with Bluetooth on this phone. The response that I have been getting from Samsung marketers is that you need to buy the newest phone that came out 3 month after your model. I have been informed that in Japan smart phones have shorter life cycles than is the norm in North America. My next phone will be a Motorola if my current new phone o/s is not upgraded in the next few weeks.
If you are going to purchase a Samsung android phone keep in mind they do not provide upgrade support. They released the I7500 in Dec. 09 and will not upgrade to 1.6, the current O/S is 2.1. If you are going to move to the andiron platform better to choose a manufacturer who is willing to keep the O/S current for a least 1 to 2 years. They even removed the O/S version on their website in order to dupe potential purchasers of a dead phone.

You're not kidding, dual core ARM processors are already in the pipeline from more than one manufacturer. My guess is that we'll need to wait until the end of 2010 to see them in production, but perhaps there will be some announcements at MWC in February!

They won't upgrade the i7500 due to the lack of a fast CPU like the i5700. The i5700 already is updated to 2.0.
