Aretha Franklin had good soul in her and her music was the best back in those times. Her music never dies and she will always be a legend and queen of soul r&b music. See r&b music has been around way longer than hip hop. Hip hop wasn't even around yet back in those times in the 60's. This lady had so much talent and this was real music back in our parents days. Our parents know this kind of music and I am sure that all of our parents luved her while we were still floating around.
