I stand completely corrected...I tried it out last week...and Mother 3 is frikk'n amazing!

Tells at least me, that gameplay videos can not convey how much you'll like or dislike the game once you play it.

I'm not that far in Mother 3 yet...second "chapter" or about 2-3 hours in. But damn, the story is excellent (yet sad)!

Don't correct someone if you don't even know yourself. Or at least clarify a bit if you actually do know. This game was only released in Japan, but he's playing something called an emulator and he did something called patching. He patched the ver. of this game (which is in Japanese) to english. Simple stuff.

This game is so wacky and zany, the way the characters move, and how their heads pop up in the battle screens, and the psychadelic backgrounds, and the cartoony sound effects. Iloveitiloveitiloveit.

i know some people are trying to translate Mother 3 ROM into english... but its been a while since I've heard about it.. anyone know any new information?

They are almost finished with the translation. Most of the the stuff has already been done now that's left is basically testing. I'd expect the translation patch to come out late October or maybe November at the latest. Of course I could be wrong so just take that info with a grain a salt.

Nintendo won;t translate this into english unless they believe doing so will result in a profit. Everybody who wants this translated needs to do things such as-

On your wii,

1.submit every day on brawl a picture of lucas or ness to show you are a mother fan.

2. on the 'everybody votes' channel, submit your question every day to say something about translating mother three.

We must make it loud and clear to nintendo that many people will buy mother three if it is in english!

well, you can use walkthroughs and translations guides, i use the menu translation patch and so far i'm not doing too bad.

Yes, the game is very visual. All the items have a picture, so using them won't be a problem. Some parts you may not understand, but i'm sure you'll cry at the ending.

I heard in the current issue of Nintendo Power that Mother 3 is dialouge heavy, which would take ages to translate into english (hah, nice excuse, especially when fans are translating it) and if it doesn't come to US in english, would you consider getting the japanese version? It would be hard to play, but it would make a good collectors item, even with its nifty box!

This is a great game, but the sound combo system get's on my nerves. It's cool and all, but too hard for me to pull off (especially with an emulator) I'll probably just level grind, the way I like RPGs... don't ask, I'm weird.

Don't blame pokemon, for it's not their fault why they didn't release Mother 3. It was because North America Nibtendo didn't want to accept the release due to the game being unpopular and very distinctive. People around the US count more on action/shooting/sports games than RPGs. I really wanted Mother 3, don't jump to conclusions by blaming something else without much proof.
