this is by far my favorite recording of claudette by roy. raw and unadorned the way rock-a-billy is supposed to be . later recordings of it by him lost the straightforward simplicity of this.

Orbison wrote this for his first wife, who tragically died in a motorcycle accident.....it's FAR superior to the Everly Bros version (Although that version was a bigger hit than Roy's )
