Can you tell me if the plasma is making the glass hot??? Can you touch the glass with out it burning you? Basically how much Heat dose that plasma tube create?
@radumotisan And once it breaks, you can "recycle" it. Then, it will get sent back to China and dumped in a huge pile where slaves can extract all the precious metals from it with toxic chemicals and the circle of life goes full circle. Simba would be proud.
@WestbourneStudios Don't you have anything else to say? Do you go to car videos all the time and warn people about all kinds of accidents that may occur, too? faggot
@hardstyle905 He's answered my question perfectly, so no -I don't have anything else to say. I only asked it because of the obvious danger that usually occurs when handling UVC lights. No I don't "go to car videos all the time and warn people about all kinds of accidents that may occur"
This is the tech that will be incorporated in the first real light sabers!

@rwg42985 the plasma inside was not that hot, because the current used to create it was relatively small

juniortore1 1 year ago
@juniortore1 the light coming out of the tube is mostly germicidal UVC, not something you would stare at it with unprotected eyes.

Wait, UVC light tubes give off dangerous radiation and would cause damage to the skin cells on your hand right ?
WestbourneStudios 1 year ago
@WestbourneStudios that is correct. I did this test only once, so I could film the tube, and I've under-powered it to make sure the UVC level is low.
Ozone could be felt in the air after the tube was lit.

How did you get the plasma into the tube?
BlackShatOnU 1 year ago
@BlackShatOnU it's an UV germicidal tube, I've applied the current from a HV Power supply.
