By the time you buy a full package of this camera it's going to cost you a minimum of about $7,000 just to get it to work in any reasonable situation. A full blown Scarlet package will likely cost you over $10,000.
The problem is that they sell each part separately, each cost about $500.00+, when u buy everything together, the price is above what we consumer can afford. This is a bad thing about their products. Check out their web before u're crazy about buying one of their toys. U may have second thought before placing an order or owning this toy. I am already disppoint by going to their website. Maybe just keep my old camcorder and save the money.
scarlets video quiality will come in 3x the definition of the cinealt, raw. it depends wat your looking for... honestly i have a mac so im gong with scarlet.

Im glad red is making moves, theres so many nah sayers and haters who forget theyde never be able to get a 150grand panasonic 4k camera and here Red is doing a 4k 5kepic and now this 3k scarlett. and still haters are like it'l never happen. ITS A CAMERA IDIOTS. making one isnt imposible. Remember having a laptop with Final cut pro was once an imposible dream back in the 80's when 2million dollar avid suites were all about. all Hail the coming of RED! the imposible dream has come true.

I agree, and thats the one NICE thing about this camera.. the audio is such a pain in the neck clients are paying for double system :)
