I use my EEE box B202 in my car!

No inverters needed, i just hook it directly to the car batery. It says 19V but i tested it and it actualy works greate on instable car voltage to :p

For screen i use my 22" TFT screen wanting 12.0 volt 5 Amper. I solvet that one by adding 4 diodes in a series parallel to lower the voltage by around 1.3V, to get within the gestimated 15% of the wanted 12.0V

@jhaytch when you start it up do you get to go to bios if so get a external harddrive and install the os on to it fromanother comp then hook it up to ur new comp then go to bios and make the bios boot up from the hard drive then run a scan for ur harddrive then install the os to it.

Maybe your hardware drivers were not updated for windows 7, When you install a new SO you have to check compatibility for all the drivers and programs , that's the origin for the lag in most of the cases. In my case when I updated my hardware I really thought my computer would fly in xp (¬¬), I can't believe that it can work fine in Win vista / 7 and in xp doesn't. Anyway nowadays XP is still a great S.O., and Win 7 a nice option for update.
