  • dinksmallwood1 are you saying that like this is stupid and we shouldnt talk about this cause it sure seems like it. this is serious and emotional stuff that people go through everyday and i pray and hope to god that scientists find a cure for this disease

  • they have an MIR cure for it now

  • Also, Smokers do not heal as well or as fast as non-smokers.

Smokers can not use skin from other parts of the body to graph new skin to re-construct a new breast. My mother had breast-reconstruction, and they attempted to make a nipple out of a skin graph from the darker skin on her inner thighs, however the skin died. She had to use other forms of something, to construct the nipple, that was then tattooed darker, and TA DAA she went from a A cup, to a Modest D cup :P

  • My mother said, that she went to the extreme size, because God had given her a second chance, and she may as well have fun!

My mother is now 46 and there has been no re-occurance of breast cancer, she did have to have a lymphoid removed, but that was it!

Glory to God for that. <3 Lexie

  • i was 39 and had double mastectomy and reconstruction, and now 42 fought it and still fighting it seems WOMEN MUST SELF BREAST EXAM EVERY MONTH TO SAVE YOUR LIFE GIRLS IT IS NOT NASTY IT IS SAVING YOUR LIFE IT SAVED MINE,

  • My mom was dx with breastcancer @ 26 she had a double mastectomy at 30. My aunt was dx with breast cancer in Dec. She has had 2 lumpectomies, (spelling?) and its still there, I get a mammo every year, even tho I am still under the age of getting them paid through insurance, but my doctor orders first the breast MRI's and then has medical reason for a mammo, its a lot of red tape, but it must be done.

Fight to get the treatments, preventitive or not to see if you have it. <3 Lex

  • GOOD MESSAGE and video. Thanks for sharing it.

I have not had a mamogram since 1996. I do self exam though. I fear the smashing and radiation cause it if you do it every year. I know I sound ignorant. I hope your friend continues to do well. CANCER is so scary, my dad died from it, the most horrible death! I can't even think about it.

    Lauren:)

  • thank you for sharing such a wonderful story. your friend is a treasure.

don't forget that young women should self exam too. my breast cancer was diagnosed at 12. Biopsy and radiation cleared it. But if I hadn't done my exams it could have been worse.Knowledge is power

  • Thanks for sharing this success story, Steph. Breast cancer is such a scary disease and it's so important that people are aware of it. Best wishes to your friend for being cancer free in the future. :)

  • Steph, please thank Eva for sharing her story with us, and thank you for posting!

  • Yep - time for a mammogram. :)

  • Hi Steph.

I was diagnosed at 35, never did exams or had a mammogram. Thanks for this:

Ladies, learn your body, notice changes.

  • Thank you for the video response... :o)

  • Thanks for accepting it. I've done several about cancer, but this one is..well..you know.

  • I understand

  • Now I will start self exam! Awesome interview Steph! You did a wonderful job Eva in explaining your situation with cancer.

  • Great topic Steph. My mom is a breast cancer surviver. She was one of the lucky ones to have discovered early. Another sign of breast cancer is a discolored discharge from the nipple. Great reminder for everyone to do self-exams weekly. This is so important!

  • that is wonderful!!!

  • Very good video coverage of this story and so very nice of her to share it with all of us! Thank you for doing this Steph. As much as you would think that its all over about breast exams and such there are people who just dont take notice. Perhaps this will reach someone and they will. Education is Bliss! hugs xoxo

  • maybe I should dedicate a whole video to him....

  • Ok wait, let me just put in my earplugs...

  • Glad Eva is doing well. Thank you for doing a video to raise awareness. Breast cancer has robbed my family of two wonderful women, wives, and moms. Early detection is still offers the best chance for survival and there are so many women who don't take this seriously. Great interview!
