little tip for the digital dj community: use lossless formats instead of mp3. it sounds more alive and high end. mp3 sounds ugly when played loud.

try flac, alac, wavepack things like that and hear the difference

Nice Progressive mate, I have some nice classic trance & progressive which im hopefuly going to try through this gem of a prog. The decks hardley get used at home now due to the volume of mp3/wavs ect out there...good in a way, but hope the owd vinyl dont ever die out. Nice video!!

mmp is a playlist file.

You need to go to the options tab then select "burn to device" option.

Then you can save it as either .mp3 or .wav. :)

Simply convert it. MMF has the option to turn it into a mp3, wma or something different. From there, you can add a video in another program and create whatever you want ;)

Interesting comments about MMF allowing the creativaty to flow. Your right its a really nice piece of software but I dont know anyone that uses it to its full potential. A midi interfce makes it 100 times beetter an it was allready the best on the market. Nice on bro keepp up the good work

But thanks for thinking it was only 2 tracks - that's kind of a compliment in a way, because it means you can't tell where one track ends and the next one begins :)

Yep it's a lot easier to use it for pre-recording mixes than doing anything live imho, an example could be mixing a set for online streaming.

Sure, with Mixmeister you can just throw a lot of tracks in there and let it go. But if you want to use it properly and make a decent mix, it does take a lot of time as using the loops and effects and setting mix points and track overlays is quite fiddly even using a usb mixer.

I have used it live but I find Traktor or even VDJ is better for live mixes.

this software is a game! Good to get you excited about DJing but other than that, there are no techniques used in here other than adjusting your entry/exit points.

Again, something I would buy for my son to get him excited about the world of DJing but he shud graduate out of it within a month

After using all sorts of equipment from regular TT to Serato and Torq, I can tell you that i've done it all and played with this at my local DJ store too. As I said, that is all that this is.

I never said its bad, it is good to get in, but you won't be taken seriously with this! just an advise!

I get what he is saying, you could use this live in a club or at sometime of live event...the crowd might not realize that you're using the program and not a turn-table or really care...but that also depends on where your playing and what kind of Audience you have... if it's a rave then alot of those kids already know somewhat about DJing and know DJs always rock decks..(CD DJS, or Turntables). Also you probably wouldn't get any respect from the other DJs.

Also, I'm not trying to hate on your video/mix or the program. It actually looks pretty cool and would be a GREAT tool to use to perfect your entry and exit points on a mix and get it down to a key so you can even add extra effects and make ultra smooth transitions after using this program to create some mixes. AND...great music selection, the mix was pretty damned smooth I must say. Even though you used this program I can tell you know what songs go good together and know how to let it build.

Ah no problem. I've got respect for all DJs and aspiring DJs, as long as they're wanting to be DJ's because they truly love and appreciate the music they're trying to spin/mix/. So to me it doesn't bother me if you use a program to LEARN how to mix together tracks to make a sick set or remix to share with other people so they can enjoy the music.

THE ONLY DJ's that I TRULY dislike are the ones who use programs and machines that do everything automatically just so they can SAY THEY DJ just for the "cool" factor. The ones who could care less about the genre they're spinning, know anything about the genre and then use the programs that automatically do it for you and then put NO thought what-so-ever into making their set blend smooth and letting it build and playing to the crowd or know a variety of songs to play. They just DJ to be cool.

TBH I think there were too many breakdowns in this set and it didn't flow as well as I wanted it to - one of the drawbacks of only having ten mins maximum on youtube unfortunately....

Another thing is... I've yet to review the video tutorials to learn mixmeister's other uses. So far, I'm into linking tracks. Can't do much yet about track volume adjustments since I am not into technical stuff but I love how user-friendly the software can be. For more than 2 decades I've been itching to learn how to mix. Now, with this software I'm steadily learning. To think the only other mix software I user before mixmeister was Magix's 2004 edition of RemixR!
