Funny. I lived in that building (the Montezuma Castle in Montezuma (just out side of Las Vegas) New Mexico) for two years. I was as student at the United World College - USA which now occupies the site. I used to give tours of the building, and we watched this movie as part of one of our end of year traditions!! Great to find the preview!! w.uwc-usa.com
@echelon913 Same here - I saw it on TV when I was really little (early '80s) and was very, very scared by it then. Can't believe how campy (and old!) it looks now.
I can't remember the last time I saw this movie. I rented it last night to "refresh my memory." Unfortunately, I wasn't that or too impressed with it this time around. I guess, after seeing the original Amityville Horror, the Changeling (with George C. Scott), the original Haunting, the Haunting of Hell House, Burnt Offerings, and Madhouse Mansion, the Evil, in my opinion, "misses the mark or bullseye" (so-to-speak), when it comes to carrying on the "haunted house"/"ghost" storyline.
@mabroukali It's not available on DVD or BD, but it can be had on VHS, if you're inclined to tolerate that. I've got some decent sources, and I've heard nothing about future availability. Too bad - I LOVED it!
@dsjjfg It will finally come out on DVD on Oct.5 from Shout! Factory and Universal. It will be part of the Roger Corman's Cult Classics and double billed with "Twice Dead"
movie looks cool..just hate when trailers give too much away :o( there's little left to be surprised or scared about after ya see the trailer that shows just about eveything
I was about 10 or 12 years old when I first saw this movie. Freaked the crap out of me.

I miss Richard Crenna. The movie is simplistic but effective. I like it.

This movie is pretty much a halfway remake of the original Haunting.

@dsjjfg
Thank you for your reply. These movies are not released on DVDs probably because they would find them too risky commercially to make any money?

Not exactly too much. Victor Buono isn't shown at all in the trailer,bur his name is listed. Some prints even cut out most of his screentime.
