Worthless. I think that's compressed air he's running through it. Then he has the balls to say it's doing work. Now the idiot/genius wants people to give him $10 million so he can go into production...then give it to the military! I say, give it to Iran or N. Korea so we can more easily kick their ass.
Are you simply a moron disinformation agent for the oil companies, or have you bumped your head? I hope that they have payed you extremely well for the selling of your soul and the selling-out of the entire planet. Look for this engine's patent to be bought and shelved--or for this poor schmuck to be suicided, accidented, or disappeared without our corrupt and corporatized media peeping "nary a word".
hardly a worthless test, yes he is running compressed air through it. HOWEVER! you can do the exact same thing with a regular piston engine. in fact, a lot of the massive engines in oceanic tankers and cargo ships are started with a compressed air system.
The fact that a regular piston engine can also utilize compressed air renders this engine completely irrelevant, having no potential as either a compressor or an engine, IMO.
A different fellow saw my comment above and sent me the patent drawings for an earlier engine with the same design. The first design was simply unable to properly lubricate. Wish I still had his email.
well it is afterall a prototype, i have no knowledge of the lubrication issue but it makes no difference to me. i have nothing riding on its success other than my curiosity. even if its only half as powerful as he claims it will still be amazing.
@fdzwes your thinking of The Sarich Orbital engine . but the MYT is still better. Angel labs has not disclosed any issues yet so bit early to jump the gun.
I will refrain from stating the obvious.. excelent science project though! It would be nice to hear the sound... re-post with lessss audio compression!
SowhatNC, LOL XDDD. Good answer though. But as far as i dont see new types of rotary engines as ICE, im not convinced at all. And actually, MYT has cranks and gears, like with the conventional piston engines, motion of the internal parts is not smooth and continous; with other problems mentioned by others these mean a big loss.
this guys claimed that this engine would change the world, but I think that they had problems with the fuel run. By the way, an identical motor was patented in the 80's, and is already working in Spain, it never succeds because of price.
How is it lubricated? How are the piston connected to the crank without interupting the integrity of the cylinder wall? Pitty it don't run on bullshit!
They've got 1 patent in a very crowded area. They're using compressed air here, because with 4 parting lines in the combustion chamber, they have massive leaks. By there own admission this engine doesn't run. It's only good for fundraising at carshows and tech fairs.
When are they going show this thing running on actual fuel? My lawn mower will run on air too. If there is a video out there I've missed it.
