So ein schoenes Teil hatte mein Grossvater :D Da kommen geile Erinnerungen hoch :) Abends im Garten gesessen, und Musik vom Player gehoert ;D Einfach nur nice^^
Our ELAC 'Star' was of 1957-8 vintage. It was grass-green in colour, with ivory-coloured knobs and arm like this model's. The carry handle was ribbed, I think, and available speeds were 16-33-45-78. In fact, it very much resembled yours, RealCyberSeb, and was bought in Nicosia to play our dad's Charlie Kunz and Winnie Attwell records. My bro' and I gave it a hammering for years but it always worked impeccably. Happy days!
That is one unique operating changer. It's fun just to watch it change records. I have a 1950's Perpetuum changer, which is rather odd in operating. You just can't pull the records off after playing you have to remove the spindles first.
Hehehe this is fuckin strangest player ever seen I am sure tha asians will pay huge money for that show.... This is Mircord Nr. 9 made by Elac in West German....you can believe me that the mechanical system installed is an all time precision masterpiece...hehe waving also goodbye ;) Fuckin great!

Seems like that record player is made by Microsoft: "Press "Start" button for shutdown. ;-)

I can only imagine the mechanical complexity of this record player. It's like a Rube Goldberg machine!
