Honestly Corrie, I suggest that you continue your investigations into high voltage without holding things in your hand and making them spark. I am getting nervous for you. I don't want to be alarmist but common sense says that if you keep this up, your increase your risk for getting a truly dangerous shock.
You can look at discharges by doing setups and then switching them in and off. Get an automotive switch and run it in series with the battery positive.
I suggest an automotive switch with a long plastic toggling arm. Affix it to a wooden base with hot glue so that you can easily switch things on and off without having to touch any high voltage wires. When you connect the HV output of the coil to earth ground and electrify your entire setup, hold something insulating in your hand and use it to flip the switch.
I apologize if I am sounding pushy, but you should be careful.
Appreciate! I already do on off switch and do not touch the HV lines unless off. The only lines I hold in my hand are antenna lines - not connected anywhere. On-off all the time.
I did already; actually a bit better. Took about 4 hours of video on that today. Will post later as #028; but there are also photos of some which video camera can not take - posted on Energtic Forum

put a thin layer of water in thetable then playwiththe spark
it will make steam if you get it rite and you will see the HV acvtuallypull the thin layer of water to the lead of the hv...
get it one lead in the puddle and the other HV lead just really close. let the corona do the work.
