Thanks for saying I can sing outside of church. Yeah,some songs are definitely better for me to sing than others but to me singing the difficult songs or singing "outside the box" most likely will result in improvement in my singing ability.Oh,and if you click on the link in my video description you will be able to hear me sing that song in its entirety along with a whole bunch of others. I have about 15 songs on that site and some are with video. :-)

You can carry a nice tune..but your voice sounds more like you should be singing in church...sorry if you felt bad when that person laughed at you..Dont try out for american idol..to be honest your voice is not what they are looking for..lol that was wrong..dont try out for no idol..lol

Yeah,nobody likes to be laughed at. Wish she had figured that out. The worst thing is that I am rather fond of her so that really hurt. However,I will be okay. No,my voice is definitely not what they are not looking for. I have more of an old fashioned than modern voice or singing style. I am cool with that since everybody and their brother has a modern voice these days and you see what that got Chekizee. Just saying.Thanks for the input.:-)

Thanks so much. Not only are you saying I sound really good but you are saying I look young enough to be on American Idol. The truth,though,is that I am not that good a singer and would require some voice training to go on that show. I got a good voice and all but it needs to be fine tuned some more via voice lessons. Plus,I really am way too old to qualify to be on that show. Their age limit is way below my age. Unfortunately. Otherwise,I would have tried out anyway when they came to my town:-)

The worse that could happen when a non-professional who can actually sing goes on the show is that the judges will tell you what you already know. You are not quite on a high enough level to compete. So,if I was a much younger man,I would surely try out for American Idol just for the fun and the heck out of it with no expectations of even making it past the first audition. And if they chose to show my attempt on national television,that would just be gravy. :-)
