Hi, amazing mod ! would you have a list of the parts hooked to that dial for the pitch range mod (crystals ?) ?

It's been years I'm looking for such solution !!

Very nice aesthetics, however I would be concerned about using a straight tonearm with no off-set angle. I'm also from the school of thought that the SOUND of a turntable is 100 times more critical than the LOOKS. Also, in what I have read and in my own personal experimentation, using a straight tonearm that has no off-set angle is a bad idea. I would agree on some of "fatshoolaces'" comments that flashy looks doesn't mean good sound.

äh du weißt schon, dass du deinen tonarm damit total geschrottet hast?!

wenn du an den 3 schrauben am tonarm rumdrehst oder diese rausholst, werden die lager dadrunter verstellt. diese sind von werk aus auf 1/10mm genau eingestellt.

dann zieht der tonarm zuviel nach links oder nach rechts. abhilfe schaffen: neuer tonarm!

oder ist dir das egal, wenn es nur so pi mal daumen eingestellt ist?

If you look at a modded technics on a site like ' vinyl engine', it's all about the sound quality. If you look at some of the vids on youtube, seems it's all about turning your technics into a vulgar christmas tree - No idea about sound quality .

Q : Make your own tonearm ? So what tracking angle error are you getting now ? Whats the overhang measurement ? Azimuth adjusted ?

A : Erm, look at my sparkles..!

I'm more concerned with how my decks sound than how they look.

@hexaloader danke, hab das teil erst geschliffen dann grundiert dann lackiert. wie die leds heißen weiß ich nicht. insgesamt hat der umbau um die 150 euro gekostet. mfg

I wanna install some LEDs on my old 1200's, but I would like to know what kind of plastic or acrilic did u use for mount LED's in pitch fader control, or where did u get it, by the way amazing job, u table looks GREATTTTT, good job, and if is possible send me PM with parts list, tks :)

@djpirateuno1 Yes, I bought a tube and cut it to the right lenght. I had to grind it a bit and polished it. At the end I drill four holes in it, so I can install it to the tone arm base. sorry for my english ;-)

@ElLuben Pitchen geht ohne Probleme. Ich kann über den Schalter neben dem Pitch-Fader den Bereich entweder auf +/-8% ODER auf +/-28% umstellen. Somit kann ich weiterhin den originaln Pitch-Bereich benutzen oder halt den großen Bereich.

@SteelKut Wie geil ist das! D.h. theoretisch hast du ultra pitch aufm Technics. Ist bestimmt super zum scratchen! Wie lang hat dieser Umbau insgesamt gedauert? Wieviel hast du investieren muessen?

@DJCOLLIE Ich saß so ungefähr 5 tage an dem umbau. insgesamt habe ich so ca. 150,- euro investiert. Den plattenspieler habe ich für nur 130,- euro bekommen ;-)

@pittster57 thanks, I use the technics for scratching. so I think the straight tone arm is better then the s one for cutting. I like the s tone arm, too but I prefer straight ones ;-)
