Securing a MacBook Air with a Kensington lock

Worst idea ever! You will inadvertently damage, brake and destroy your MBA display hinge! Someone will try tons lose the lid with this in place. Don't ever use this method, you will live to regret it!

MacLocks now sells a much more complicated solution. They have you take out five screws on the bottom of the MacBook Air and attach a protective cover w/ Kensington lock hole. Your solution is MUCH nicer.

you should post this project on kickstarter. I'd bet you'd pre-sell enough to pay for the tooling costs, and if you don't reach your goal, you're not our any money. That is a genius idea

I have a suggestion: Coat that thing with plastic or something so that it won't scratch the air.

CONSIDER: 3D PRINTING for manufacture? Impossible shapes now easy.

@UrsulaMajorette Thanks for the suggestion. This is what I used to make the plastic prototypes. Cutting it from metal is very expensive.

@skullzalliances yes, out of all the accessories companies in the US only one showed some interest. however, they weren't expecting much sales so we didn't get very far.
