The conclusion: Shinji and asuka were sleeping for over 20 years and the hand was slow-roasted. I don't know whose hand it was but I think it was shinjis with all that hair. One more thing, I don't know how or what happened to earth but it the bible, where the adam and eve was living, there were full of grasses and animals and it this period there are just full of rocks.
