There is several hundred hours of runtime on this motor and so there is some wear on the detent which causes the motor to miss-fire sometimes. A rebuild is in the future.
I've built a solenoid engine a long tome ago made of old scrap junk in my electronics workshop, it revved like crazy until the switch burnt up and the bearings (sleeve type) wore out. Still want to build one again, they are awsome!
I like the use of the penny for a sense of scale.
