@Anavyia Just came back from the New Years Eve Gala at the Barbican in London, London Symphony orchestra... Ana James sang the most stunningly beautiful rendition of Vilja in English that I have ever heard. Almost brought a tear to the eye.

@PANABURDACCS Beauty is in the ear of the listener.I like Germanand I love Lieder and it can be sung softly. The Southern German accent or Austrian is less harsh than that of the North. French I love too but it can sound nasal if one is not careful. English is not throaty like German can be nor nasal like French and I think it is a wonderfullanguage for song. Of course am 1/4 English and prejudiced. Check out Welsh maybe Kafhleen Jenkins or Aled Jones in Welsh (3/4).

Schwarzkopf und einige andere sind noch heute geltende Maßstäbe, die es zu erreichen gilt.

Auch wenn diese Interpretation sehr schön ist - an die Stimmkultur der Schwarzkopf kommt diese Sängerin bei weiten nicht heran! Und Interpretation machte die Schwarzkopf mit Stimmfarben, nicht mit koketter Nestelei an den Trägern kitischer Kleidchen oder Kostümierungen.
