@SW35T0N my point was that the air has substance which slows moving objects down, which is why if you drove a car in space potentially you could reach as much speed as you could till the petrol ran out but on earth once you get to about 200 mph the air is like driving through cake because you are pushing more and more air particles and the reason i said that is because why didnt you refrence them in your comment because by the sounds of it, it seems like only a foot can cause friction.

@Qu1ckDrawN1nja I know if you dont want your rim to lose paint get clear osft brake pad then my back rims back and my brake pads are clear fly brake pads they dont eat at your paint and most tires are 40-80 bucks and brake pads are 10 bucks shoes are like 70-100 bucks also its worth puting out 10 bucks for clear soft brake pads then putting out like 150-200 dollars

You guys are all dumb as shit. I have rode brakeless for a while now, and there is no way you can break your ankle unless you are stupid. Also, I haven't had any trouble stopping and I was never in any risk of injury at all; i can stop as fast as i could WITH breaks. Lastly, you don't need a breakless bike to demonstrate how to stop, you can do it easily with breaks. Instead of saying he should demonstrate, hop on your bike and try it. It's really easy.

And as for stopping just as fast, as opposed to running a rear brake, true not alot of difference but there is no way you could stop in as short a distance as someone with a full set of brakes.

Personally im against it but I ride tracks and trains and DH so, horses for courses....

@chalenger42 I do see what you're saying. Nowadays i suppose people could get their foot stuck because of that whole slammed-seat trend, and there is no replacement for actual brakes. I personally could stop as fast as i could with brakes, but my brakes were a little on the slow side. After you practice for a little while you can stop pretty quick. Maybe not as fast as full adjusted rear brakes, but pretty close.
