  • Bhinneka Tunggal Ika

  • Yes, Indonesia need to regain the greatness of Majapahit as we are its successor. We need to expel pervasive Arab and Western imperialists influences. Especially Arab which does not accept Indonesia's reality as a pluralist nation. Remember the words Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.

  • @RoniCMaster Im with you ron!

  • as a correction, there is two religion in Majapahit, which is Hindu and Buddhism. The capital (Trowulan) was grand and known for its great annual festivities. Buddhism, Shaivism, and Vaishnavism (Hindu) were all practiced, and the king was regarded as the incarnation of the three. The Nagarakertagama does not mention Islam, but there were certainly Muslim courtiers by this time.

  • they says that the empire of madjapahit and the the kingdom of butuan in mindanao philippines have a communications before................

  • viva my indonesia..... No arab no western!!!

  • Straight As!!!

ur background music was saron penerus?nice one.

emmm, what I doubt abt is that whether Islam caused Majapahit's downfall or merely coincided with it? cuz i've read that Islamic missionaries kinda suffered when Majapahit declined

  • Muhammad was born in 570 and died 632 AD. It was he who first brought Islam to the world and received his "divine" transmission of laws at around 610AD. So your timeline is a bit off as to when Isam first got it's "toehold" in Indonesia. 5th Century is about 200 years premature. I mean no offence. I enjoyed the history. I just thought you would like to know.

  • Please watch my video

It's about earth shift. Earth shift: One huge continent became 2 continents, then 5 (or 6) and then?

Stunning, breathtaking, strong and deep images.

    Thanks!

    watch?v=j7I_eFoIk64

  • Very nice video. I would just like to point that islam only emerged in the 7th century and couldn't have spread in Indonesia before that. Other than that, very informative video on a relatively little known civilization.

  • yes the mongol fleet did attack majapahit and were defeated.they attacked japan but was sunk by stormy weather.while not so successful on the sea, they were almost unbeatable on land. melaka rose to power while majapahit was in decline.while melaka was named after the melaka tree, majapahit was named after the bitter mojo fruit.strange names for two empires.

  • @aziziekam FYI malaka (melaka/malacca in other version) rose under sumatranesse sri vijayan decendant

  • @MrSolitude14 yes, i am aware that the melaka sultanate trace their roots back to sri vijaya empire. just that i find it strange that melaka is named after a tree & majapahit named after a fruit.

  • good job! just one thing missed on the video: The fall of Majapahit due to years of civil war among royal family.

  • seluruh semenanjung malaya adalah wilayah Majapahit, Parameswara Pangeran Palembang sauadara sepupu Adityawarwan dari Majapahit yg mendirikan kerajaan Malaka

  • Melaka is never under Majapahit...although the first King has Majapahit blood.

  • go read history

  • Leanna darling. Your presentation s great. Well, mdm Azlina did show you slide last year but we ran out of time until today, i got to watch everything. And about the practice in Ubud, true enough until today you see them having rituals or whatever you call it everyday without fail. And Bali is a fantastic place. And again, you made a good presentation :)

  • Majapahit was one of the few countries of that time to defeat a Mongol invasion, along with Japan and Egypt.

while with Japan because of nature...

Raden Wijaya of majapahit use his tricky strategy.....

    Mongol invasion of Java

  • Mongol attacked Majapahit? Tell me more...please.

  • pleas go read history of "Mongol invasion of Java" in wikipedia

after the invasion almost all south east asia was under majapahit empire or should i said "united states" because the majapahit emperor still allowed "local" conquered kingdom to keep their title as king, prince etc....

the most notable history still can be read in Negarakertagama

  • Thanks...I'll read about the Mongol invasion.

Here what Wikepedia said about the issue of Majapahit's "united states" - Majapahit was not able to control or effectively compete with Malacca within the archipelago, and came to an end during the later 15th century.

  • there was a timeline

malaca only a small village by that time...and under majapahit control, but later majapahit divide into 2 dynasty the sylendran and sanjaya

the sanjaya was still ruled over majapahit and the sylendran build another empire called sriwijaya or Srivijayan in sumatrea with village of mellaca inside it teritory

pls go read about the sriwijaya or srivijayan

  • melacca become a player in region becasue of diplomatic relation with china (Because of its strategic location, Malacca was an important stopping point for Zheng He's (cheng ho) fleet. )

and after majapahit loosing it power to control after the split betwen two kingdom the west and east majapahit (just like roman empire- spliiting to 2 side)

and there was a battle aswell between the aging majapahit empire with ming dynasty

  • later on majapahit attack/invade the sriwijaya, and a sriwijayan prince called prameswara fled to a small fishing village called mellaca....

i belive majapahit dont have and eye of malacca and still control the malacca strait.... until it power declining because of elites strugles....

while malacca built a quick diplomatic relation with china.....please go read cheng ho history....

  • @dztrbk Vietnam was also able to defeat the Mongol, 3 times.

  • Shit, I miss mdm Azlina. Tears are runnin down mayne!

  • teringat mase dulu. tch azlinah. Oh gosh. i miss her la seyh.

  • great job,lil!!!

    i liked everything....

  • Good research! Can I ask you to send me your sources. I am a student of South East Asian history.

Philippine textbooks state that Manila was part of the Sri Vijaya, and later the Madjapahit empires. In fact, the middle islands of the Philippines are called Visayas (Hispanized word for Vijayans?). Philippine revolutionaries fighting Spain used an old ancient alphabet (Alibata) that looks very Hindu. The Spaniards had banned it and burned all ancient books that were written using the alphabet.

  • the Alibata still exists though

  • hm, u have alot there.. what would u like to know?

  • bahasa jawi satu bahasa satu nusantara

  • what is the title of the music? I really like it....

  • it's called "rasuk kuda kepang" (:

  • I like da Song..ha..ha...where to get it?

  • thanx.. hm, im not sure. i downloaded it on ares.

  • @pynqromance I'm ilonggo/karay.a. to DrxKavorkian. there's a lot of confusion regarding the word "bisaya" Originally the "bisaya" referred to the ilonggo/karay.a and akeanon tripartite in Panay on what was previously the confederation of Madyaas (the system is like the Madjapahit system)

  • The original bisaya came from borneo, and some 300000 ethnic bisaya still live there (anciant po-ni/barunay) the "maragtas actaully called borneo by its old name of "barunay". barunay was a tributary of sri vijaya then became a tributary of madjapahit.

  • during the 12th century then during that time a very unpopular guy became the maharajah and pissed off the datu mapatih (datu puti in filipino culture) the datu mapatih was the prime minister and the maharajah sort of lusted after his wife or daughter (no really sure but it was about a woman) then the same maharajah lusted after another dayang (princess) who was bethrothed to another prince, the maharajah was also doing a purge of his enemies. T

  • this made the mapatih and the 9 other datu (princes) angry and they plotted rebellion. The mapatih though advised the datu's to flee instead so they fled into exile and landed in the philippines, they bought panay and made settlements (they are the ancestors of the ilonggo, akeanon and karay.a),

  • in karay.a: mahambal naton nga ang napulo ka banua ka ASEAN ay mga anak ka daan nga Madjapahit. Isa ka bangsa (nation)nga gin hiwa sa napulo ka banua (old malay wanua - political division of madjapahit meaning village). translation: we can say that the 10 members of asean are the children (anak) of old madjapahit. one nation splintered into 10 countries. looking forward to ASEAN integration :-)
