@Lear23Driver That may be but you really have to blame Anderson for this. The rest of the band got fed up with his quirks and restrictions - stuff he would only sing, stuff he would refuse to sing, his ongoing attempts to turn the band into some sort of spiritual ensemble that was sure to bore members and audiences to death. Sadly, without Anderson, Yes now is no more than a parody of itself - just another run of the mill tribute band.
@lakemichigan100 yeah! they sound really good on this! hard to believe this song's 40 years old! and the guitar part, even though he didn't write it, is like second nature to Steve. ;) especially the 'Wes Montgomery' octaves.
@TouchingYou i like it alot, too! but, i think that's why they lost Peter Banks, because of the orchestration, which wasn't altogether bad. but in losing Peter, they gained Steve! ;)
@plangentmusic yeah! but being the Rick fan that i am, i wish he'd play the Rickenbacker more on this. i'm pretty sure it was on the original recording. it just has a character and sound all its own.
I love Yes. Please come to Vancouver BC in 2011. Yes we miss Jon, but need the rest. I love Steve and Chris, saw them in Seattle 2010. If thats what it takes to relive my youth then so be it. The music they shared with us is life bringing, come on guys keep touring.
I went to the concert at Seaworld in Florida, it is not the band it is whoever is mixing and controlling the sound, they need to be replaced or hell, I will do it for free...they are coming to Florida again in June to Clearwater, with Peter Frampton...the show is to be three hours, hope they get a new sound engineer, I use to work at Disney and Universal Studios and they have great sound engineers...plus they have some power ...Crest and Crown
i happend to be in denver coming back from a mission trip in wyoming the friday before this concert, and i saw a poster for it. i wasn't huge in to yes then but now i wish i could have stayed to see this.
Would love to see them, just not happy with how they did Jon wrong. The singer does pretty good though and I am a Yes fan from way back. Mr. Wakeman doesn't have the presence that his dad does, but he is a close second.
I suppose Jon Anderson has to accept that what goes around comes around - he was not slow in ensuring Tony Kaye and Peter Banks were ejected to bring in superior replacements.
David Benoit is a tool, a poser and sings off-key.

Awesome tune. I like b david's poses. he fits the nature of the tune. steve rocks on the 60's guitar part (guitar licks he did not write).

Sorry, but Benoit is just very creepy. He can sing these songs and that's all well and good. However, the guy just creeps me out.

Time and a word is one of their best albums. This is great to hear this live benoit is doing a great job in yes bravo guys.

I don't know why YES fans don't worship the "Time And A WOrd" album. One of their best I think. "Then" and this song are still perfect 10s!

@TouchingYou "Time And A Word" is a marvellous album. Actually it introduced Yes for me. I went the hard way indeed. I don't like Yes without Jon!

@marcol68 i have to agree. Benoit David does a fine job, but when it comes down to it, you can never really replace the original.
