Hi

I had a heart attack 5 years ago and recieved 2 stents

I waited to long before calling 911 and now the bottom part

of my heart is dead.Doing fair,just afraid it may happen

Know that feeling! Just had my second visit to the cath lab at 37yrs old to stop a second MI. needed 4 stents. Had my first 2 stents10 yrs ago a 28yrs old. Had been smoking since 13yrs old. Gave up for two or so years after first visit but fell back to 20 per day. Though i'd be ok since my colest. had come down from 10.9 to 3.5 with statins. how wrong was I! Smoke, eat crap. die in 10 yrs. very painful way to go. wont be smoking again! shame it took this.

Why are you feeling so sorry for yourself? , you are alive thanks to modern medicine - I, too, just had a MI & stent placement. So what? It hurt, yeah, so what? It also hurt to have five kids and to have gallstones and kidney stones, but so what? Life is pain, but pain is not life...you live on beyond this existence so don't worry...it's all just a game. I highly recommend that you look into alternative medicine such as homeopathy.

I feel for you. I do hope you are doing well now. My uncle just had a massive coronary tonight and is now on life support. I have a lot of anxiety like you and feel so afraid right now of death. Just being at the hospital made me feel so sick and scared inside. I know you must feel so afraid being only 34 with heart disease. You are so brave. Please take care.

added text: had what is called a roto routher to try to clear the blockage. didn't work. in total i have had 11 caths. living life like this is very hard.

had a heart attack at 38. followed by 2 stents..triple by pass surgery at 39. followed by a stent inside of a stent. have had 2 stents at 40.  i am 41 now. the chest pain has still not let up. today is sept 28th and being set up for another cath on the 29th. i feel for you...but i have had a much harder road.

Did you feel any chest pain days prior to your heart attack?

My M.I. hit me in the shoulder and in the middle of my back right between my shoulder blades and then the deep, deep inside chest pain that NOTHING could relieve.

Prior to that I was just very stiff, I felt unhealthy and my left shoulder up by my neck felt weird.

It's pretty amazing how medical people can save lives. What was your cholesterol level? Do you have to do any type of rehabilitation?

It was an absolute MIRACLE. I have no clue what my cholesterol was (it's normal now) but with being agoraphobic, the rehab that used to be here wouldn't take me since I couldn't commit to 3x/week. So I learned what to do on my own. :)

My dad just have a massive heart attack last night, his main attery is totally destroyed, and we are waiting to see what they decide to do...(im very scared for him) I hope he makes it to his 76th Bday Later this week!!

How is your Dad doing? Yes, my main artery was completely blocked. It's amazing what they can do with the heart now.

Thanks for writing,I guess they are waiting a bit to give him time to regain some strength, and for the blood thinners to help out.Plus they are looking for the veins to use!(thriple bypass expected)I spoke to him on phone earlier, he is very weak/tired by luckily didn't also have a stroke.

Oh bless your heart. Did you have an M.I.? (miocardial infarction) What type of heart attack did you have? I'm going to be 100% honest with you. The next year is going to be hard BUT do NOT fight it. Just let it flow through, it will be gone before you know it. Do not fight the coming year. You will question so many things. You'll feel guilty when you finally sit down and say, the heck with it! I'm eating these potato chips!

Oh honey I know: I wanted the hospital to tell me I was well enough to go home, but didn't really want to go home. When I get one of my 'episodes' coming on, it feels like someone has put something really tight around my chest and it's pulling 'inwards'. I hope with all my heart you recover very soon.

Hopefully you and your hubby get through it. I wish I could give you some advice, but I cant even begin to understand what that must have been like. I just I wish I could give yo a big hug. Keep posting vids babe and get plenty of rest.
