For the people who think 2003's Hulk is better, well you're wrong. In 2003, Hulk was too green and too tall and doesn't follow up to the series. It's about father & son. The cuts are just like the comics and they are distracting. Sure Eric Bana is a good actor, but he's not that Banner type of guy. The music is good tho. But in 2008, Hulk was less bright green and not that tall as the other Hulk and it had a very badass villain. Edward Norton was born to play Banner and it follows up the series.

You know Hulk hasn't always been consistently one color or size right. Honestly that seems like petty reasons to bash a film. The father and son material does have its roots in the comics, as it was eventually revealsed that the Hulk was based on childhood trauma he had from his abusive father, and the gamma turned those repressed feelings and emotions into their own entity as the Hulk. They modified it for the film, but the sins of the father creating Hulk theme is there.

hulk 03 was different than the hulk since it didn't follow the comics quite like 08 did. it gave itself space to develop a good chain of events that followed into a more realistic way the hulk could have been created and how the hulks power can function (more science YAY!). all together with bruce father playing a role gave the movie an interesting twist that had a great emotional impact on the story and in some parts made the audience feel a little more. and thats why 03 is my favourite :)

I prefer the 2008 Hulk as it was more realistic looking. But 2005 had a epic soundtrack and storyline that was not limited to what happened in the comics. It was a good film with a good premise and I think it pulled it off but I think it should have been a one off thing, which they did do, and go back to the comic hulk, like they have.

I think this Hulk dealt with Bruce's personal problems alot better and showed the psychological and social impact on Bruce's life which was almost completely absent from the reboot. Of course the CGI hulk in the reboot looked less plasticky but thats beside the point.

The only people that showed emotion was Sam Elliot and the guy who played Bruce's father. 2003 hulk had a boring predictable story. The incredible Hulk did have a story it helped keep the action going. Hulk didn't look like a badly rendered PS2 game in the incredible hulk. Eric Bana was one of the reasons why 2003 Hulk was BORING. There's a reason why Hulk 2003 was one of the worst comic adaptations and it had to be rebooted.

ANd if you compare Hulk 2003 to Hulk 2008, Hulk 2008's face looks like an old man. SUre there might be more detailed but the lighting and coloring make it look like a painting. Hulk 2003 might be more simplistic but at least they got all of the polygons, coloring and lighting right and it looks way more realistic than that 2008 garbage.
