Howdy - we met on Jared's blog TV, I just now watched this. Wow we have some massive disagreements going on here :P But hey who doesn't! I did watch The Shining just a few days ago oddly and I agree its in the top 20 for me if I ever did a list. I do despise Remakes for the most part and my favorite horror series is Friday the 13th (paramount preferred) out there, just throwing that out there. Have a good day!
I have to respectfully disagree with your comment on "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" being the best independent horror film of all time. I'm a big film geek, and the way I see it, I feel like Halloween was the best, not just because that's my favorite horror flick, but because it was a true visionary masterpiece.
@JoeCanton22 well hey it is my opinion inplus evil dead is my fav indy horror film i love halloween i just dont think its the best horror movie on earth srry
Well there is absolutely nothing at all wrong with the Original Cut whatsoever but when I got the 4disc and watched the Italian Cut I like it a lot and tend to watch it over the others. I just like the speed and pace of it and the extra gore in it that isn't in the other cuts is always awesome. My vision of Horror differs from most.
Actually the Extended Cut isn't Romero's cut. I do believe he says that on the commentary. He prefers the original cut. I like the Italian cut since it adds gore and loses a lot of the talking stuff that really isn't needed. It is an amazing film no matter what though.
Nothing to apologize about man just giving you a heads up LOL. Here's the rundown, since you have the 4 disc grab the insert book and check out the paragraph about the extended cut. It says it's referred to as the "Directors Cut" but George prefers the theatrical cut. None of the versions are rated even the Theatrical since he released it outside the studio system. They never let the ratings board view the film since they knew it would get ripped to pieces.
been a while since i seen the thing.all great movies .got most of them.great top 10.you should go to Universal Studios in Calif and take the tram tour. they drive right by the house they used in psycho.and of corse the hotel is there. do not think i would stay ther

Great top 10, my friend. It can't be a top 10 horror movie list without The Shining.
