i know! ive seen them all twice, but the 1st one 3 times cuz its the best in my opinion. the most important thing about seeing the saw movies is definatly seeing them in order! i made all my friends see the first movie instead of going to see 5 in theaters.

cant wait for 6. i saw a clip from it that had jill saying to hofman "i know who you are" and she was taking pictures out of the box from 5 and hanging them up on a wall

ive seen all of the films and enjoyed them all but i took ages to watch saw 5 after watching 4 and got 3 and 4 mixed up. I've honestlycompletely forgotten why the people were killed in 4 and all i remember is the ice blocks scenes and that you found out hoffman was working with jigsaw. could someone please tell me again a brief outline of saw 4's storyline and what the little girl had to do with the movie again? thaks

saw 4, the thing was saw told him to step back, and then and only then will he truely learn how to save a life,

so he had to let the 90 mins run out and only then will he of saved som1, which was his obsession, he wanted to save everyone, but he didnt, the ice killed the guy

the detective who was supposidly "electricuted" but he is in on it so he doesent, the...not being racist the blk detective (forgot his name) shot the othher guy in the head thinkin it was him

since cecil was the only trap before seth shown there has to have been more otherwise hoffman would not know to make a video explaining the rules with the doll in it. there was not video with cecil jigsaw was there explaining the rules. there WILL be more traps in flashbacks in later saw movies before seth.

kinge2242 i know it says that hoffman was there friom the very start but i beleive its after saw one that hoffman joins up with jigsaw caus he had to have commited a few traps before hoffman could have copied him. i actually beleive there a character missing that has been in all 5 that hasnt been shown much who jigsaw probly worked probly a bit too obvious but ,, thats what i think. let me know if what ya think of my idea??

hoffman began helping him with paul the razor wire trap, before saw 1, jigsaw gave hoffman the pen there, the pen was left at mark's safe trap, the pen led them to gordon shortly after amanda's trap, hoffman was before amanda, cecil was before hoffman - the knive chair. only 1 trap has been shown before seth. but that doesn't mean there wasn't more. saw 6 may show more

For what's in the box, the best argument i've seen is on youtube, though the name escapes me. He says that it's the information of hoffman, because jigsaw said that he had the information in a safe place that would be released after his departure.

i think hoffman will be an exceelent jigsaw, theyve left the story open for a ne w beginning sort of because all leads have been cut, and everyone will now think peter straum is jigsaw...so hoffman can do w/e he wants..i think saw v had an excellent ending

ok i understand every single point of saw, ive seen all 5 of the movies...ok but heres my dilemma.. how could hoffman have set up the seth trap, if hoffman hadnt met jigsaw yet? i mean supposedly hoffman helped jigsaw with every trap right? therefore jigsaw hadnt set any traps yet for hofman to copycat, so how could hoffman have copied jigsaw with the seth trap? hoffman met jigsaw AFTER the seth trap cause jigsaw gets mad at him for it and thats when they become partners..so can u help me here?

I actually really liked saw 5. I thought the story was decent, not the greatest but definitely kept the audience thinking and not making it extremely confusing like some people were after watching saw 4.

I agree about the whole Rigg thing, it was a bit annoying how he died but I guess for the story they wanted to tell, they had to get rid of him.

I personally am hoping to get some closure on Dr Gordon for part 6. Im really not ready to give up on the idea that he is alive. Nice Review.

Since you, as I am as well are a big fan of the whole series I'd like to ask what you thought about the HUGE PLOT HOLE in the movie. Since Hoffman and Jigsaw were in on it after the pendulum trap that jigsaw was framed for by Hoffman and that took place BEFORE the razor wire guy, how the hell does Hoffman know to use the Billy doll on the tv as communication with the victim. He couldn't have because Jigsaw didn't use the doll yet with his subjects. How could Hoffman of known to do this?

You dont know that for sure. They are messing with the time line again. According to the comic Paul was Jigsaws first kill but its couldnt be now cos Hoffman help jigsaw set up the trap.

8 people died in the fire but if you include the people in the house from Saw 2 amanda and the boy got out so it cant be them. Good idea tho

A game. Well, here the hell is that game? IT DOESN'T EXIST, the detective shoots him in the end of Saw4 and no one seens to remember that game that jigsaw had to the father.

- You don't know who wrote the "I know who you are" message to Hoffman in the movie. My guess: jigsaw's wife, he told her to do it and to go to the inspector and tell him that she thinks she's beeing followed. How? Box. She is The "true" sucessor to jigsaw, the box has instructions to do so, my guess.

- Here's a flaw: in the end of saw 3, jigsaw tells the girl's father that if he wants to save her, he has to play

Yeah just got off the cinema and man...this saw has so predictable, the biggest message this movie gave me has "jigsaw is dead and no one can follow him" and this is truth. Anyone that is familiarize with the saw series will look closely to all that's happening and try to find the big finale before the movie tells you, and this movie it's easy.

I think it's the worst saw movie in the franchise, really :\ the ending was great, thou.

I think the box has to do with Hoffman, because remember when Hoffman just got you of the trap jigsaw set up for him with the shotgun to his neck, Jigsaw says something like "I have all the information needed to be released upon my death" so that's a possability and what about the doctor in saw 1? he cuts his foor off, crawls away, and then what? we don't know if he escaped or bled to death. jigsaw obviously didn't kill him killing is distasteful to him haha

I really like the end of this movie though how the whole plan comes together, framing Strahm, and letting Hoffman get off clean. I think you're led to believe that Strahm put the note on Hoffman's desk but when he confronted him, Strahm didnt seem like he was positive that Hoffman was the killer, he was just making guesses. Your probably right about Jill leaving the note But i dont think Jill will test Hoffman, because Hoffman already had his test, (shotgun to mouth). But then again Jigsaw kind of forced his hand so it was not a "real" test. cant wait for 6

Regarding the pendulum trap, I was under the impression he had to sacrifice BOTH hands to stop the pendulum, but he only sacrificed one, hence, the pendulum dropped. Later, Jigsaw infers that the trap was unwinnable. How so?

he did crush both of his hands. it was hoffman that made the trap (by the way the trap accured in a time before the actions of saw 1) because the man in it killed his siter. the purpose of the trap was to kill kim(so he could have justice) but make it look like a jigsaw trap. so he wanted to kill him but pin it on jigsaw

i think the end sucked with strahm dieing. i think he could have survived if he jammed his gun behind the glassbox in the mehcanical stuff to stop the box or the walls either way he would live. also the 5 ppl could of made it to the end and killed off 1 for the blood. i think that in 6 jill will team with hoffman as 2 jigsaws. in the box is probably billy and the pigmask + info on everyone like amanda hoffman and victims
