  • Loved to watch this show on Friday nights with my dad. Ohhhh those were good times.

  • Cant get better than Waylon Jennings!

  • they changed the scences during seasons while waylon played theme song diffrent jump scences etc great show yeeeeehaw

  • @erectionaffection They also had to cut out actors during the show because at one point, everybody except Boss Hogg was out of the series in one way or another. Enos left the show, Rosco, Cooter, Daisy, Bo & Luke all had periods out on strike over contracts and money. They even tried to replace Bo & Luke with Coy & Vance which was a failure, forcing them to bring Bo & Luke back.

  • Can anyone tell me what American car stared in the series the one the dukes drove make model year please? Thank you very much all i know is that has a V8

  • It was a 1969 Dodge Charger.

  • the cars were a mix of 68 and 69 chargers in fact it even said it was a 68 charger in season 7

  • @krainbolt

They also used 1970 models with 69 trim.

  • @quintadaria - It was a '69 model Dodge Charger R/T with the 440ci V8. In reality, models from 1968-70 were often used in the scenes where they mashed up a car in a stunt. There are small details between the years like the front grills & rear lights that give it away. They sent over 300 Dodge Chargers to the grave in the series, once a car had been jumped the structure was often bent beyond repair and the cars scrapped.

  • The best show ever made, hands down. The movie version had comedic value, but sucked compared to the tv show.

  • i remember tnn now its spike.

  • The Dukes! 1979-1980 Fridays at 9:00 pm pacific time on CBS!!!!

On those days everybody was watching the big 3: ABC, NBC & CBS, cable was about to enter your TV's and change programming forever!!!!!

  • Where it all started.

  • This theme brings back memories on Friday nights in 1980, 81 82 and 83. Eating popcorn and a candy bar with a Mello Yello. I also remember Dallas and The Love Boat came on that same night.

  • Don't forget iced tea and Little Debbie Nutty Bars and Star Crunches. Munching down and watching this and The Fall Guy and The A-Team.

  • How about the Happy Meals at McD's with the serving trays shaped like the General Lee, Daisy's Jeep, or Roscoe's police cruiser? Great times!

  • @trephythiz Friday night delight = an RC Cola, a moon pie, kids on the floor and the Dukes on TV.

  • holla at yo koala

    heybby TQ

  • WOODSIDE june favorite show

  • mas vieja me pongo mas ke gusta esta shit xDD jaja

  • Awsome!! takes me back to my youth!

  • The highlight of the intro is Uncle Jesse scolding the Duke boys by wagging his finger at the supper table next to his basket of fried chicken with the red and white Purina checkerboard pattern wax paper holder

  • pure class

  • Possibly the only redeeming feature of the awful PS2 Dukes of Hazzard game was the inclusion of the fantastic theme tune, complete with title credits and most memorably Daisy-Duke kicking a cop up the arse.

  • The theme sounds a lot better with Waylon Jennings than the Willie Nelson version of the new one...

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

  • yeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaaaaw

  • ahahahaah great! I never listened the original theme

  • Just the good ol' Boys,

    Never meanin' no harm,

Beats all you ever saw, been in trouble with the law since the they day they was born'

    Striaghtin' the curves,

    Flatten' the hills,

Some day the mountain might get em' but the law never will'

  • That's telling 'em!!

  • yeah!!
