I have the exact same ATV, we have a snow plow for it with a manual lift. i have the plow mounted, but CANNOT figure out how to mount the manual lift, no directions came with it. the lift link im guessing mounts to the front of the atv, but cant figure out HOW?! the same goes for the lift handle with a bracket attached. any ideas?
Nice my uncle has one and i looked online it said it has an all wheel lock parking brake were is that located and how do i engage/disengage it any help plz and thx
LOL you should get a 4-stroke, as I love 2-strokes to operate that plow you would have to be in LOW and thats high RPM's on an engine that goes through top ends because of the High RPM's.
Just saying, 4 stroke is better than a new top-end every season.
Other than that I have the exact same bike and I slaughter Honda 400EX's with it.
@Spywell my 4 stroke needs a new top end every season anyway. Thats why i went back to two stroke so if i have to rebuild its so much easier than a 4stroke and fucking valves.
@popinfresh9000 WOW that's terribly unreliable, what bike is it? I have never heard of anyone having to rebuild that often with a 4 stroke, hell my factory top end on my 400 polaris lasted nearly 10 years and was STILL going when we pulled the top end due to low compression. It didn't have a skirt on the intake side anymore and still ran lol. My new top end siezed >30hrs because I put a siezeco in it and my gf kept jumping on it and never allowed it to warm up whenever I wasn't around. :(
@Spywell This ATV is from 94, and as far I know, it has the original engine in it. And the engine seems to bee the most reliable part on this thing! Allways starts right up! and if the battery is dead, one or two pulls at the recoil starter, and the engine is running! The electric system and the gearbox is the problem now...
@narvik01 The 400 2 stroke only makes 38hp! If it wasn't reliable it would be a garbage motor, sure it was really fast when it came out but that 2t is capable of much more. It only cost me $300 to take my 400 from 38hp to 60hp and it's easily capable of going into the 80's. Feel free to check out my 400 on my profile. I slaughtered a trx400 operated by a 100Ib kid on my 1993 400 Trail Boss 4x4 with two adult riders lol
@Spywell OK I see, now I understand you :-) Ofcourse by tuning the engine that much, it will not last as long as a original. But I think your having a lot more fun on the ATV the time the engine's working, with 60-80 hp! :-)
Send me a photo.

Do you have trouble starting it in the cold?? 2 strokes can be very difficult to start in cold weather...or is it recoil??

@94Nickh Never a problem with starting this in the winter! It has both electric starter and recoil

Hvor er dette filmet fra ? :D
jeg ser etter en mulig arbeidsmaskin, usikker på om jeg skal kjøpe en litt kraftigere sak av polaris :P

Det er filmet på Kløftefoss i Modum i Buskerud

Im thinking about to buy myself an ATV of this kind, and use it both for job, and freetime :D
When you were out to clear the snow, you should had 2-3 others along with you :D more faster clearing snow :D

my dad has pretty much the same ATV
xixero303 3 years ago
Then the polaris is ready for a new tough winter. The Cyclecountry "Stateplow" and the gravel spreader is attached, tested and loaded :)
if "palsw" loads his cam, maybe we get a new film this year ;)
