Mercenary is a mix of melodeath, power metal and progressive metal. Imo the best bands are hybrids.

Mercenary is amazing, the have amazing vocals (I really don't care if it is clean or not), even better guitars and drums. Overall they are just simply an amazing Danish band.

America doesn't suck for metal at all. Most of my favorite metal bands come from Europe though. Florida is pretty much death metal capital of the world, also (Although personally i don't really like death metal).

Just remember to keep in mind that a lot of Death Metal originated from Florida, then it spread to areas like Sweden where genres like the "Gothenberg Sound" were developed. It generally started in America, the Europeans just took it and made it into something even more fascinating. :)

I truly love the the contrast of Mikkel and Renee's vocals on this tune. The interplay is incredible.Hands down one of the best tracks on the disk. I do hope for the US fans who dont want to drop 40+ on an import it sees a US release soon. Personally its well worth it. Now that and do more than play prog power in the states and we are good.
