People really need to get back to the simple Gospel message that saves souls and sanctifies. Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. The bible tells us to reckon ourselves dead to sin through what Jesus did on the Cross. That is where all the power of God is. Jesus said repent for the kingdom of God is near. We are not building God a kingdom. The kingdom is being built inside the true believer. There are so many Christians that have no dicernment at all. Who do not even seem to want truth.

To make matters worse, they won't even say why they are divorcing. How can they so easily break covanent with God and each other, before the nation. What I find exciting about the Paula and Juanita situation is; "IF", they are rooted in the grace (not religious legalism), then, ALL THINGS WILL WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD! I understand what you are saying, but there is an element of the devil to blame. Satan is the one who brings temptations does he not? So that is what I meant. Also prayer is what we are suppose to do for people and it does work.

Many congregations want to hear how to get rich and this is the message many ministers preach. The message we need to preach in these last days is salvation...and the wages of sin is death. Only for sake of fornication (in the sexual sense this is before marriage - look at Matt. 1:18-25 & 1 Cor. 7:1&2 . / In another sense, it also can include pagan idol worship). Only other way you are ever free to remarry another, is if your spouse dies. As long as have a living spouse (divorced ex-spouses), you are not permitted to marry another (Mt. 5:31&32, 19:3-12/Rom. 7:1-3/1 Cor. 7:1-40).

If your criteria for determining who is truly born again is that they be sinless, then nobody is a real born again including yourself. Stand in front of Jesus and the whore. Please don't misunderstand me. I know noone lives a sinless life. I also don't believe in faith by works. But I believe good works are evidence of saving faith. I am skeptical of anyone who claims to be saved but has no change in their life. I'm just saying that if there was a way to weed out all those who claim to be Christian but are not, and count only those who are truly Christian, I imagine that the divorce rate for Christians would be quite lower.

I understand your point and appreciate your integrity in honoring the truth. We like to talk about the sin that we don't happen to be participating in at the moment...divorce. Let us go on to other sins. Pornography for example. So following your reasoning Christian men don't masturbate with pornography. At least those that are truly Christian do not. Is that correct? So most born again Christian men aren't tryly born again.

I wish my scripture recall was better so I could take you straight to the scripture references. But I'm simply saying what the bible says. Can a Christian fall into sin? Yes. Repetitive sin? Yes. Paul taught that. But he also taught that if your lifestyle doesn't reflect Christ, you better check yourself. Christ said, "if you love me you WILL keep my commandments".

Well said brother. And Christ meant ALL my commandments. The most important of these to love your brother and to love God. He taught us to focus on our own sins. Our brother's sins aren't our concern except to forgive. We love to show righteous indignation about the public sins of others, rather than deal with our own hidden, secret sin, don't we? It is none of our business how God will deal with a brother's sin. Isn't that what Jesus was trying to get into our thick skulls?

I agree with every thing you said except for, "Our brother's sins aren't our concern except to forgive." The bible commands us commands us to point out our brother's sin to them. Yes Matthew 7 says to remove the beam from our own eye. But then it goes on to say that then we can see clearly to help remove the splinter from our brother's eye. The bible even lays down guidelines for chastising other Christians for their sins. But I fear we've went way off subject here.

People really need to get back to the simple Gospel message that saves souls and sanctifies. Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. The bible tells us to reckon ourselves dead to sin through what Jesus did on the Cross. That is where all the power of God is. Jesus said repent for the kingdom of God is near. We are not building God a kingdom. The kingdom is being built inside the true believer. There are so many Christians that have no dicernment at all. Who do not even seem to want truth.

what some people have to see is that this his happening all around the world. and it aint no coincidence. It happened in my church but not quite the same. it was a congregation of about 3 thousand members and now there is left but a mild 100 or so. But there was no divorce announced the pastor fell from grace and still doesnt want to take resposibility for his actions. i believe that the Lords coming is more near than we think. therefore we sdhould put our eyes not in man but in GOD

Loyalty to both your God and husband. In this solid foundations are your building blocks. but even then your husband must be humble to walk before God in faithfulness... The same way you find it so easy to judge them. By not holding yourself accountable to the Word of God *first*. When we take our eyes off Jesus, we screw up. That doesn't mean they were always false preachers, just as your hatefulness doesn't mean that you were always that way.
Jesus was quite clear about the our examining other's specks, wasn't He. He also didn't authorize us to publicly condemn those with whom we don't agree as is the common practice of so-called "discernment ministries."

I think the church is owed an explanation. I believe that if Randy committed adultery, it would be best to tell about it. Otherwise, so many members are left to wonder if the divorce is based on biblical grounds. If Paula committed adultery and is calling the divorce so that she can marry again, then that is a different situation, and not one that calls for support from the body of Christ.

For pastor's to stand and announce their divorce, justified as though they are exempt from the word is crazy. Anyone who follows them after this must not no their word. There is nothing wrong with prosperity, but there is much wrong with the love of money. We are called to ministry to serve, not for self. Many congregations want to hear how to get rich and this is the message many ministers preach. The message we need to preach in these last days is salvation...and the wages of sin is death. Money can't save us; only salvation can. Let's pray for this ministry and for these ministers.

I am so very saddened by this divorce, period, but more so because these are our brother and sister in Christ, and because the worlds standard for living has so tainted the church today with it's view that evrything including marriage is disposable, and not SACRED as GOD intends it to be. I am not one to pass judgement on any one, so I'll just pray for the Body Of Christ, that we will costantly and continually seek follow and obey the word of God, in a lost and dying world. God Bless

What happened to the saint living and respecting each other? My husband who is a pastor and I are married 33 years this year and are still in love because I feel he is not only my husband, friend and lover, but a saint of God as well.
