  • Awesome black/white filter, great music and the filming is very nice.

    Epic atmosphere!

  • who is this nerd?

  • @TehUltimateSnake the angry nitendo nerd

  • Lol The nerd wears basketball shoes

  • didn't watch this one all the way thru.. did james ever speak in it?

  • this was made on the year i was born :o

  • James, you are a freakin inspiration man! :D

  • Wow no joke that scene that begins at ~14:00.. I had a nightmare just like it.

  • This movie was made on my birthday

  • wow it was good!

  • Very Good!!! This Is One Of Your Best Old Movies!

  • Nice Movie James I watched this one months ago and have returned to see some of it again because i was reminded by a new video of darknessthecurse who calls himself the sanerevelation now and it was called Deep Woods (check it out it is more of a spoof like darkness says if you are looking for something amazing don't watch it if you are looking for a good laugh watch it also pay close attention to the end it was very interesting and shocking)

  • This is great! I can't wait to see a James Rolfe film on the big screen!

  • Great musical score, some nice camera work, a few good scenes. Probably tired atm as I am imagining the potential this short film would have had. Hope everyone involved had fun with this back then. Hate it when comments does not register the first time.

  • That was great James, too bad it was never completed

  • Er, nevermind. What I would mean to say, I guess, when thinking about it is that, at least what DOES exist of it was compiled into a finished film of some type. It may not have been his full plan, but at least it did get made into some kind of beginning to end film. :)

  • You do have a point there, it's just that I wanted to see what happens to young James after Steve is sent to hell

  • Would have been very interesting, indeed.

In theory he could do a sequel now, all these years later, that could tell the events in a "this is what happened, this is where things are now" kind of way.

I believe he mentioned that he has been able to do more haunted houses, so in theory he could in an upcoming Halloween shoot some more stuff: find a suitable actor, or maybe even the original guy, and go for it.

  • That was great! That's all I have to say.

  • wow, i enjoyed that :)

  • Hah! There's a "Wilhelm" at 19:09!

  • pfeifer broz. are awesome i like humanity sector

  • you rule James.

  • I would really like to now how it all actually ended.

  • hahaha Really Great Movie, James! But, WTF is the deal with tha mustache? hahaha

  • I actually rather enjoyed that. After watching Red Zombie i kinda had a bad taste in my mouth but this was pretty good...the music was great. and the subtlety of the humor made it even funnier like how he was being cased by the two monsters but stopped to put on his shoes... classic i lold

  • Sickner for Steve. James as well i guess, he went all evil but that was great keep up the good work.

  • Nice stash James!

  • one word dude , awesome

  • Damn james was so skinny. O.o

  • that thing at the end was fucking disturbing.

  • I loved it. That was amazing, I jumped when the little monster popped out near the end!

  • dude that was one hell of a creepy movie when i was waching it i kept pering over my back to see if some one was behind me

  • awesome

  • lol great film. This could be made into a feature film, but knowing Hollywood, they'd ruin it.

  • that movie was epic!

  • just great film. he was same age as I am now when he made this film.

  • hay that ur haunted house lol cool!

  • the cell phone in 19:16 is very high tec

  • That was freakin' eerie in some parts ;-)

  • wow James, u look pretty different in this.

    amazing job

you have an amazing talent. Hope you make an amazing feature film one day . Hope you get the respect and attention you deserve.

  • great movie....love the remake better though.

  • Boo yeah brand x

  • got more than he bargained for.

  • Nice way to build up tension. They should do it like that in Hollywood. Changing genres at the end, didn't really work as well it could have (not sure if it can work any better though). Nice film anyway.

By the way, since there is AVGN DVD, is there any plans for other type of Cinemassacre DVD? Or is there one already, that I just haven't noticed?

  • Lol 13 million for a skull? I shoulda watched the rest of the film before commenting lol.

  • I think it-un werewolfs the kid.

  • cool and kinda funny!

  • sweet but why did he want the skull???

  • Apparently to sell it.

  • Lol i guess the curse got him, or maybe it draws him in with evilness, along the lines of something aside from money.

  • sweet but why did he want the skull???

  • Upload "A night of total terror"

  • This could be a T.V horror film,cuz withe commercials,it would be 30 min.

  • buahahahaha i like the end hahaha....

  • Is it just me or that guty that comes from the colset look like nosferatu?

  • god that was scary, still good though :)

  • woah the last scene was coool! i dont expected that

  • is this the same guy in the angry nintendo nerd??

  • That was really interesting, I thought the camera angles were really smooth, and I thought it was done really well.

  • Hey, nice choice of music, it made it really creepy and held my interest. Cool story concept. Pretty goofy at some points too, but I still liked it :)

  • pretty cool movie, but the bad guys are quite lame... the best part is when the bad guy at the end runs into the door :D i love all the cinemassacre films, they are so great!

  • Wasn't Brand X the band that Phil Collins was in before Genesis?

  • Yes it sure was. I was thinking the same thing myself!!!!! sorry I know you commented on this over a year ago....

  • I liked how he the teased monster kid with the skull.

Other than that I thought the credits were very cool.

  • its the angry moustache nerd, lol very good vid, but liked the cemetary movie more beceause of the gore, and humor, when will you make another movie?

  • No,steve can't go to hell. He did good man he did good.

  • I wonder if the guy who played the monster was the guy who played as Freddy and Jason in his game reviews

  • You mean Mike Matei? in fact i was wondering the same thing..maybe they're old highschool friends?

  • Yah, I meant Mike Matei, the guy who draw the Pictures and also the Crazy AVGN fan.

  • 18:00 to end reminds me of the AVGN Horror movie game reviews where he gets chased around his house

  • LOL, "Welcome to hell,Steve"

  • Do you realize this was made like 10 years ago?

  • Ha ha, it's the Angry Teenage Nerd.

    Great movie, man. :)

  • oh god i love the last few minutes of it..i knew what he was probably saying too "you want it huh? to bad"

  • You do realise this isn't recent work but from when he was a kid?..

  • Nice use of your haunted house James. Keep it up.

  • God Vid. Why guy stop put his shoes on? I would have keep running.

  • its film man.

  • there was no software all done in stop pause and rewind originally.

  • Lol, young James XD BTW that is a scary movie.

  • reminds me of "The Ring"

  • Works fine! Good stuff!

  • Around 9:17 the camera angle and the way you're looking over the banister is interesting. Was that a reference to Halloween?

  • mmmmhmm.... at first it looked like Boo! haunted hous: the movie, but the editing was very good.

slightly resemblance to curse of the cat lover's grave, or jus my imagination?

  • James sure was slim back then...........

  • Nice mustache Magnum. Nice Indiana Jones/ Idol thing btw.

  • I didn't get the dream sequence or the ending.

    Good movie nonetheless.

  • Nice video.

  • is there a reason why the kid was talking with the phone backwards? and DAMN the camera effects and the gray scale was a very nice touch!

  • very nice

  • Man, it was getting interesting.

    I wish it was finished...

  • The stache makes the man. Awesome video.

  • creepy, nice music, nice mustache

  • NICE STACHE

  • i dont get it

  • Parts reminded me a little of Eternal Darkness.

  • hahaha.. James in his puberty stages!!! :p He was skinnier back then!! haha

  • Nice work better than my ideas for class at school could ever be. wow nice job thats all i'm saying

  • Never finished? That's unfortunate. Good job anyway.

  • I don't get it, can anyone explain?

  • A man (James' character) finds a possessed skull which haunts him and ultimately turns him evil. Hence the final line "Welcome to Hell, Steve." - oh and yes, thats my voice in the end. =P . . . get it?

  • Well this is brilliant. Made it in 1997. I can say many horror movies nowadays don't look better than this one, and I loved the final freak out moment. *APPLAUDS* Well done James!

  • Haha that cell phone was great.

  • great movie, James.

  • This proves that horror is not all blood, guts, and sudden noises. The suspense will freakin' scare the hell out of you! Nice work, James.

  • Haha, 19:08 Wilhelm Scream

  • Cool ending!

  • lol 2o:04-2o:05 hes like i have it watcha gonna do' bout it!

  • Whao, VERY wierd coincedence here...

My friend and I also make indie films, his name is Myles and my name is Steve, which are the two named used off of this film. Also, when we needed names for the characters we usually named them "James", creepy.

Anyways this was a lot like your other other film "Beyond the Catlovers Grave" where a theiving individual steals an artifact not knowing of the conscequences he will soon have to face, really awesome work and I loved the soundtrack.

  • What I found really neat was that dialouge wasn't needed, you could tel by the body language as well as the atmosphere what kind of a moment it was, not like todays films where a lot of dialouge is brought forth to tell the audience what is happening.

  • It was also a surprise to see a younger James in the film, which made it kind of a fresh expierence.

Keep up what you're doing, keep posting the awesome videos.

As you said for the Free For All Film Festival:

"If you build it, they will come."

  • yeah, i actually would have prefered it if there was no dialouge.

  • 10:54-Twilight Zone poster...XD

  • James you sure as HELL knew hot to create suspense. awesome movie.

  • First time I've seen a movie where somebody is being chased by monsters and they have time to stop and put on their shoes before they run out the door! I like it! Good job!

  • And that they also have time to pick up the phone, put it in their pocket and walk out the door. Funny!

  • JAMES!, I know you dont reply to too much, but i would really love to know how you got youtube to let you have 21:33 time limit, they get pissed at me if mine are over 10 minutes and delete them -_-

  • He had a directors account before they instated the new rule of max ten minuet vids for everyone.

  • odd

  • lol, I remember when I had a 'stache. I looked Mexican too XD

  • dillonvader - Do you expect a medal for posting the first comment or something?

PS: Ah, James. Brilliant and married. You break my heart. ;)

  • COOL!

  • Great video!

  • Great video, greater moustache.

  • It's pretty good for something that was filmed and directed by teenagers.

  • It has that nice 'Grindhouse' feel where it's Planet Terror meets Death Proof!

  • Nice ending

  • nice mustache gomez
