@bababobo74 Lyrics are from Aed Carabao, Aed told me this in an interview in 2005 and he confirmed that this is possibly the best classic Carabao song. Mae Sai is always interpreted by guitarrist and singer Thierry Carabao same above in that video.
I'm a Native Thai, I never look down on a lady who calls her Prostitute. I have a chance to talked to one of lady who took the same flight with me to oversea, she told me about her life, listen to her my teardrops. She did that to supported her family, to her as long as her family have foods, clothes and comfortable place to stay, its worth it to her. But she not do it for live. After she saved enough money She will go back to her home town and have a small business. She has a beautiful heart.
Good post Paul I am Ferang , with a Thai wife,I would never call a bar girl a Prostitute,Ferangs are very very lucky and some have no understanding of life in Asia I love Thai people and her culture, the west can learn a lot from the East Anyway,a great Band and a credit to your country I love them
I am a Farang in thgailand with Thai children and although you seem prejudiced I apreciate your problems. For the record Thai men do the same in Thailand and elsewhere. This is not just a Farang problem but a problem everywhere. I suggest enforcing prostituion and underage sex...
@walkertongdee i was adopted from thailand, found my birth family recently, but it's quite embarrassing by the reputation that the females do. i have thai pride, sometimes i'm ashamed.
555 too funny. Thai men are the same and maybe more and cheat on wife a lot and have young girlfriend and wife too. Many Thai girl now don't want Thai boyfriend or husband as they are not good to them. I see this a lot and Thai girl with broken heart from Thai boyfriend who play with her mind and doesn't care.
No one write the text like this anymore, and NONE will take Carabao place ever, and every song that wrote by them are full of a meaning in life living.. more than 20 and i still they fans, always!
Man this song hits hard. Easily one of the best. I saw them play this live and the atmosphere at the time is something i'll never forget. I love this band!
sawadeekap...everyone . i'm from malaysia, i would like to have all the carabao song. is there anyone can send to me in MP3 format? i'll be happy if someone can help me. TQ.
I think Ad played the last solo in the original record, tublang. but i think all of the four guitar players can play all of thier songs. nice! love it!
The sun goes down and the moon rise up. The wind blow cold front has come and still no see a sign of her. Rice field empty with out her.
Please lil bird come back to the farm and be happy.. ok that's some part of it.. i translated
This song is about a lil girl from far away farm land who was to the club for sex. The farm land missed her and want her to get way from 1,000+ mens, come back to live a simple life at the farm.
Actually, the girl was to an agent who placed her in a brothel. In order to escape reality and harsh living condition, she turned to drugs (min. 1:42). She realized it too late, the society stigmatized her.. (min. 3:07) an elder got ill, sent someone for her.. she rushed home, hoping to make, brought medicine, etc. but she only arrived in time for funeral prayer.
This song was not write by Carabao but by Thierry ,guitaist in Carabao's band

This is again a very good song from Carabao. He likes to sing about life and politics in Thailand.
