God does not change complete immediatly. He makes new creations, immediately.Change of heart or affections comes from Rom: 12:1.2. There is no immediate complete change for the natural mind. You may have a behavior change, drastic, immediatly. But it is a lifetime transformation. The natural mind is never complete. Mark sounds like he had a complete immediate change, impossible. Flesh mind is lifetime transformation
I'm ready for the change to leave sin behind and pursuit god and Jesus, however the only sin I can't think to stop is lust (or masturbation) I'm 16 so is it really a sin? Thanks a bunch for responding in advance!
@GeorgiaDipper91 Hey. I'm no expert on it all, but I've been watching a whole lot of this guys preaching videos and he actually has a video on this that might help you. Its called "masturbation as Birth Control." Its for people older than 17 or who have permission from parents but if your able to access it I'd say it applies to you. Hope this helps. :)
A cosmic, jew zombie that moved a humongous boulder out of the way with his bare hands and promises to come back and take those who believe in him to a place in the sky called "Heaven"...
@Chibithy If that is true, then what makes Jesus so different from people like Ghandi or Buddah or even Bob Marlyey? They were men that lived and died, but no one hates them like they do Jesus.. :O
Paul of Tarsus was not born-again instantly on his way to Damascus. He was saved instantly when he called on the Name of the Lord in Ananias' home in Jerusalem (Acts 22).
I say good video, it just needs God's plan of salvation according to Acts 2:38. This is the way the church got started and the Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans all came the same way. Acts 2:4, 2:38, 10:44--48, 19:1-6, Mark 16:16, Romans 6:3-5, 1 Corinthians 12:13, Galatians 3:27, Ephesians 4:5-6. 1 Peter 3:21. One can't escape baptism of the water and spirit. There's no sinner's prayer in the Bible. We have to come the way God set up on Pentecost. The Bibleway is the only way. man can't change it.
yashayah means savior, salvation, deliverer and anoited one. look in a strongs bible dictionary and look up savior. yah means god in hebrew. our savior will come in his fathers name. savior god is yashayah. its hebrew. no name can give you salvation under heaven given by man. not translation
you dont know what your talking about. his name is not jesus christ. there were no letter j's in the hebrew language. the word christ is a greek word. his name is YASHAYAH. they spoke hebrew not greek or latin in yisrael. i refuse to except a false image of the messiah which has a false doctrine with it. they brought our ppl by cargo slave ships (Deuteronomy 28:68). They gave them a new name, different gods (religions), pagan holidays,etc..
I'm not longer going to argue with you anymore; this is going no where. You are not getting my standpoint.I will pray for you .. but otherwise, have contentment living life for nothing, no reason, and no truth. Entering from nothing and leaving into nothing right?Might as well do whatever and kill people since there is no moral basis other than "man's creation." Yet funny thing is if you did kill someone that conviction is deeper than what it should feel like on paper or by science. I'mout, cya.
@Alkwondo11 "If there are no absolute morals than killing and doing whatever shouldn't be a problem right?”
If no one gave a damn then yes absolutely. However, in reality it doesn’t work that way. Society & the laws that govern it hold people accountable to their actions. There is also the learnt moral foundations relevant to society and upbringing that can instil a sense of guilt (regardless of them being correct or not) if you act against them.
What was the intention of society to govern its laws in its respected manner in the first place? Why did the government choose rape as an action resulting in a consequence? What "criteria" did it meet as something "malevolent?" Also, your argument is that we feel guilt because there are consequences - but I refuse to accept that as the sole reason. I can tell you that there are countless circumstances where guilt persists even without the thought of a given consequence.
@Alkwondo11 Why did society decide that rape was bad? Ultimately because it leads to conflict and unrest as it is a violation of another person. Conflict is not good within a society. This has been rooted in humans through history. I did not argue that Guilt is felt via the knowledge of consequence, i said consequence gives people a reason to follow law. Guilt is easily instilled via upbringing, and the actions of others.
@NightHawkBomber001 Could I ask why rape causes conflict? You see conflict is stimulated by the desire to NOT have rape. Right? Why should rape not ought to occur? And why is a wetdream = unclean? What is your standard of reference when you call something unclean, because I for one, could assert that giving a gift to a homeless man is an unclean act, but everyone knows it's not, but don't you ponder on why it's just a universally accepted truth?
@Alkwondo11 Rape causes conflict because its not consensual and has negative effects on the victim. It does not promote a safe society. The wet-dream example was from the bible not my own. It was an example to show how guilt can be instilled falsely. The example you gave is not universally accepted.
Basically my point is this - you just claimed that rape is bad. But what is bad? You asserting that there is a bad directly points that there is good. Because if there is no good or bad, there is just "it," and nothing would hold moral or ethical value. But now you assume a moral standard; good and evil. And if you're atheist, there is no room for a moral standard, so then I would just disregard anything you say cause respect/virtue holds no meaningful purpose.
It is bad based on the effects it has, and the consequences that follow.
Good and Bad are human constructs. regardless of my own beliefs, an atheist would see a moral standard as invented by humans, to benefit society. saying you would disregard their words as respect and virtue have no meaning to them is not only dishonest but insulting.
@NightHawkBomber001 No, my point is this - why should I respect your opinion, when virtue holds no significance? Why should I "ought" to respect you? But you assume that I should seriously consider what you say - meaning you have a deeper insight far superior to a speculated "man-made" rulebook that is telling you, hey, equality is needed.
@Alkwondo11 You don’t have to respect my opinion. You don’t have to respect me. It doesn’t help your argument and doesn’t say much for you as a person. You can ignore the fact that what I am saying is not only sound but has a good justification for being true. I started this by pointing out that your narrow minded observation (if morals are constructs theres no issue doing “immoral things”) was flawed. and that there was a more sensible way of presenting it
@NightHawkBomber001 No, but you EXPECT me to take what you're saying seriously right? Because ultimately your words are mere chicken-scratch that hold no significance in a World explained by Naturalistic science. The fact that you are arguing back says in itself that you want me to understand your opinion. You want me to take you seriously. Could I ask you one thing? p.s. - I really care for you, I'm honestly a nice guy. But if you believe there is nothing ahead of you, why not kill yourself?
@Alkwondo11 Ultimately I would assume the good and decency in a person. So yes I would expect you to listen and be decent. I could be wrong, and your actions and responses would allow me to make that judgement.
@NightHawkBomber001 Please don't take that question and implement it LOL. But I'm curious. I mean, you might as well speed up the process, there is no hope for you in your atheistic belief. :/ No sarcasm intended.
Why are you getting so hostile all of a sudden? I left the argument because there is no way I can convince you, nor you convince me. We reached a stalemate, and I was mature enough to leave it at that.
So the question first comes down to this. Are you Theist or Atheist?
@Alkwondo11 Hostile? So its ok to be a little bit snarky and rude, and when i respond without anything rude you ignore me? when i call you out on the cowardly action you call me hostile? HOw about you answer my question and stop avoiding it?
We never reached a statement. You said " But if you believe there is nothing ahead of you, why not kill yourself?”
@Alkwondo11 in the ancient hebrew culture a wet dream was seen as unclean that the person who had it had to partake in cleansing rituals. They would feel guilty over something they had no control over and that today we know is a natural function of the body.
if Jesus' time on this earth is both historically proven and acknowledge through by 6,000 manuscripts, then that means everything that he did was fact. He literally healed the sick in an instant, walked on water, and defied death. How can you not believe what He is then? You fail to recognize the bible yet galic wars by julius caeser has only 10 manuscripts and aristole's poetics only has about 5 manuscripts but all accepts it. But the Bible has 6,000 manuscripts yet all denies it.
I don't understand you atheists/agnostics. What do you gain from trying to disprove God? Huh? Just trying to force feed this corrupted fallacy to people so stumble in their faith in God. You gain nothing from trying to disprove God, so why do you try so hard to do it? More so you are setting yourself up to missing out in the joys of Heaven. I laugh at how people think everything just stops once we die. Pathetic. You guys are taking this leap of faith that is merely gambling your life.
@Alkwondo11 I laugh at how people think they they know what happens once we die. Pathetic. I also laugh that you r brainwashed so much that u actually believe we r gambling with our lives. In that case you r also gambling with your life as all the religions today say that if u follow another religion u will not reach heaven. Islam even says if u believe Jesus is Divine u go straight to hell. If u believe this nonsense then u r gambling with your life as well.
@jimmajamma2006 I am certainly not brainwashed. I question and doubt my faith everyday. But that's how I grow stronger in my faith because I am learning more and more and realizing more and more that God does exist.
If you are going to quote the Quran then please read the entire thing and understand its context. Same as the Bible. You are in no position to criticize believers without even knowing the entire meaning and context of the Bible.
@Alkwondo11 It is only natural to doubt your faith as everything all the evidence points to their not being a God. If u believe in the creation and Adam n Eve u r definately brainwashed in my opinion. Evolution is an accepted fact not only with the studying of bones but with gene matching technology. As an intelligent human being who questions u must have to force yourself to believe the creation story which so obviously is untrue.
@Alkwondo11 I have read most of the quaran and I have certainly read the bible many times. Most of it is pretty simple stuff. Most storys have fairly simple moral teachings which I dont believe is very difficult to understand. I'm not critising it anyway. there are some good stories and lessons to be learned but to consider it as anything other than fiction is border line lunacy in my opinion.
And you know what? How dare you discriminate me for my faith. Because you are absolutely NO DIFFERENT FROM ME. You know that atheism and agnosticism is just as much as a belief then Christianity is? If you cannot single-handedly prove to me right in my face that Jesus Christ never existed, never resurrected, and God does not exist at all, then you are taking a leap of faith in saying that "God doesn't exist." Because you can't disprove God in anyway, you are having faith just as much as I am.
@Alkwondo11 "You know that atheism and agnosticism is just as much as a belief then Christianity is?" You seem to have missunderstood the terms. Atheism means the non belief of God - nothing else, - a non belief cannot not be a belief can it? There are no doctrines. We r not told how and with whom we can have sex and we r not claiming to have all the answers to our existence and more importantly we see the garden as already beautiful without having to think that fairies r at the bottom of it
@jimmajamma2006 You fall into irony, any belief is anything in which a person puts trust into without seeing it with their eyes. Belief is trusting something that you cannot see. And you cannot prove straight up to me that God does not exist right? You are taking a leap of faith and there is no denying it.
@Alkwondo11 U r confused - a belief can be either with or with out seeing it. The latter is called blind faith which is what your belief in God is refferred to as being. The onus is on u to prove that God exists. It is you that believes you have all the answers. God may exist but I would say it is the same likelihood that my Godfish created the universe. Scientists dont yet have all the answers but at least they r making an effort so I guess I put my faith in them to explain with evidence.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." - Acts 2:38 ( KJV)
I agree - this is getting tiring... I dont want to be rude but it is like talking to a brick wall (no offence) in the sense that u have made your mind up and bottom line is for you Jesus and God are very real things and you ahve a relationship with them. For me growing up i did believe in the bible at a young age but as both my parents are Non practicing Christians, I put it behind me about the same age as I stopped playing with toys. cont
THIS IS PROOF THAT ONLY CATHOLIC CHURCH IS TRUE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST AND HIS HOLY SACRAMENTS!!!

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take and eat; this is my body." Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins." Matthew 26:26-28
Firstly -The bible to me seems a very poor explanantion for the world that we live in. The way it expalains the world is as I would expect someone to explain it a few thousand years ago before we knew about microbes, that the world was spherical and we are but a tiny spec in a vast universe. At least science makes an attempt to find answers instead of just closeing their minds.
You may call them inane acts but they are evidence of Christian killing in the name of Jesus Christ. Another more recent example of this is the Orthodox Christian Serbs who systematically selected and then slaughtered nearly 8,000 men and boys between the ages of twelve and sixty - the worst mass murder in Europe since World War II. In addition, the Serbs continued to engage in mass rapes of Muslim females all in the ame of Jesus Christ.
@jimmajamma2006 You cannot just selectively judge all Christians based on the actions of these I'm assuming "corrupted and false Christians." Obviously if they did those horrific acts then they're not true followers of Christ.
Me too - but smoking is not sinful - If there is a God he will not judge you by how many cigarettes you ahve smoked. It is a bad thing this is true. I try to quit every year, I manage 3 months or 6 months but eventually go back. Unfortunately a cigarette goes too well with a beer or glass of red wine. Dont beat yourself up about it mate otherwise you really are destined to have a miserable life of guilt.
"the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to ALL MEN." (Titus 2:11)
.
"we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of ALL MEN" (1 Tim 4:10)
.
"We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." (2 Cor 5:20)
.
These verses expose the error of Driscoll's Calvinism.
.
God wants to save the whole world. He appeals to us but men resist the Holy Spirit (who is God) (see Acts 7:15 )
i haved a time when i haved this hunger for the bible but in time i changed back to my old life ....and sometime like now when i see this kind of videos...i want to change instantly....but again im going down because all people arounde me dosent agree with this ...pfff is so hard
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together.
The bible says that christians need to meet together. Its not that you need to give up your 'people' but that your ultimate group of 'people' should be Christian bros and sis'. Besides, how can you consider someone who doesnt accept you as a friend? Pray about it, get a mentor. You'll be fine.
@ulmy777 I can imagine it must be - It is only in the last few hundred years with education, the ability to read and write that people have begun to make their own personal decisions. Look at the world in which we live in and the way it works. For example the arch bishop of Carlilse believes that the recent floods of west yorkshire are a direct punishment for homosexuality in the area. - rationally however we know for FACT that homosexuality has NO effect on meteorology.
@ulmy777 Through out history there have been thousands of different Gods, Thor, Zeus, Allah, etc etc. We now know that humans have been around for at least 100,000 years. Life expectancy has been between 20 and 25 years old. Most people dying from infections and microbes in the air that the bible does not mention because MAN didnt know about them. If what the bible is true then for 98,000 years God watched man suffering terrible lives before deciding to come down and be sacrificed for our sins.
@ulmy777 look at things logically - If the bible was truly a message from God it would explain the world the same way that science does. How could the information beso wrong if it came from the creator? We now know that the Universe is billions of years old not 6000! Evolution explains how we have become who we are and makes sense. Genisis on the other hand sounds no different from a childrens story.
@ulmy777 If u r like me n simply cannot believe the bible - u need to remove the guilt and fear which the bible has taught you. 1) there is no such thing as heaven or hell. What comes after is a mystery because people cant come bak to tel the story. 2) Sex is personal and no one should tell u how or with whom u should do it. U kno adultery is wrong coz it hurts your partner not because u will go to hell. 3) The garden is beautiful enough without believing fairies live at the bottom of it.
@jimmajamma2006 what you say is not true...in the past i was speaking the same.....in know 100% that jessus is the single way the only way....i began to understand...if you belive there is a god talk with him,ask him why? this, and why? that and if you really want to see who is god ,you will find out all it will be showed to you.........
@ulmy777 I dont believe there is a God of course there isnt. It just simply isnt the way the world works. In the old days people used God to explain what they could not understand. Why the sky is blue? how is fire created? We know the answers now and what we dont know we try to learn. If people only chose to read the bible we would not understand any of this. Id u are looking for answers READ books, learn and Ask yourself these questions and you will find the true answers.
@ulmy777 If there is a God who created the universe the one thing you can be 100% sure is that he/she/it would not be petty or unfair. I believe his main concern would not be that we worship in a Christian or Muslim or Hindu way. What would make God happy is that we learn to understand each other and accept our differences. cont
@ulmy777 For example - We now speak a universal language so we can communicate, we are all having sex with eachother so are becoming the same color. We trade with eachother so we need each other financially. The last barrier to world peace is religion. As long as we continue to lable our children a particular faith without giving them a chance to decide for themselves we will always have this problem of ppl believing that they have god on their side and wiling to die or kill for their belief
@jimmajamma2006 Your statement at its core is irreparably false... I will grant that God wants us to love one another, but Jesus stated that he was the way, the truth, and the life, no one would go to the Father but through him... So to believe that God wants us to accept other religions is wrong... God wants us to LOVE, and sometimes, when people our wandering away from the true path, we need to be tough on them, and explain their mistakes... Tough love my friend
@incbuba lol - You have wonderfully illustrated my point. Don't you see - this is word for word what Mohammed has said to his people - "no one would go to the Father but through him..." Jews, Sihks, Hindus all say the same This is the tragedy I speak of. U CANT ALL BE RIGHT - but u can all be wrong. A muslim would also say the same about tough love for those wandering away from the true path. It is so small minded and destructive and ultimately divides us as human beings which is all we r.
@incbuba Ask yourself the question: If I was born in India or Pakistan, would I believe in Christianity. You would either be Muslim or Hindu. From that you can establish that it is only due to where u r born that has made u believe what u believe. Going further if you live anywhere in the world other than Jerusalem, the only reason u r surrounded by Christianity today is because of the extremely violent spreading of the religion during the Crusades and Spanish Inquisition.
@incbuba The thing I find most pathetic is that Il live in Liondon and everyday I meet Christians, Pagans, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims etc etc and all of them without fail laugh to themselves when asking the question "Have u considered that maybe Christianity is the truth?" and do u know what they say? They say they will see when it comes to judgement day. And they r fucking smiling when they say this. So happy with themselves that they are following the true path. It is disgusting in my view.
@incbuba If God was real - he would not be so petty and childish as to care whether u belonged to one church or another or prayed to a cross instead of a crescent. If God were real all he would care about is whether we were good people or not. He would even look more favoroubly I believe on those who were truly good for their love of man and were not just doing good for fear of hell or desire for heaven. Try to think out of the box and open your eyes to reality + read lots of books.
@jimmajamma2006 He doesn't care at all if any of us are good people (in a sense you a missing a huge portion of His desire) which is for us to have FAITH in Him and Jesus Christ. THEN believers bear good fruit. We are not saved through our works, but by faith. But also, faith without works is dead. So basically he cares if you first had genuine faith in Him, which leads to good works, (being a good person.) Not if you are just a good person (any non-believer can be a good person and not believe.
@Alkwondo11 You have missunderstood what i am saying - My point is I am asking u to step out of the box for a moment and really think - if there was a God, what would he want from us. His main main desire would not be that we worship him it would be that we do good on this planet not for Jesus or or for him or to go to heaven but coz we truly want to others to live happier lives. "A selfless act".
@jimmajamma2006 You are not rooted into the Word AT ALL are you? God's FIRST greatest commandment was that we LOVE GOD. THEN, He says in a secondary commandment that we love others. God is always above all, He deliberately tells us that anyone who loves their parents more than God is not a true follow of Him. God is above all, no human is. Then that becomes false worship and idolatry. If you LOVE GOD, you LOVE OTHERS AS WELL. Loving God always comes first, no matter the circumstance.
@Alkwondo11 2) Altho much the same point -Love thy neighbour would be key in my view and this does not mean "love thy neighbour as long as they follow the same religion and live next door. THis means love thy neighbour where ever they are from. You must see that for a Christian it is impossible to truly love thy neighbour when they follow a different belief and in your eyes are not worthy of Gods love and who are ultimately hethans who are destinesd to burn in hell.
@jimmajamma2006 You must be unsociable or something, because it is very possible to love any person. You must not be a follower at all if you believe you can't love anyone else because there are strict discrepancies in all humans. It DOESN'T MATTER. I can love and respect anyone, and straight up, everyone has different views. No one is the same as you. You make it seem impossible to love one another; you must truly have some hatred towards society or something.
@Alkwondo11 This was in Bosnia during the 1990's. How any Christian say they truly love thy neighbour and commit such atrocties to their fell brother of man is beyond me. As u say the first commandment is to love God over anyone else and I believe this is where the problem lies.
@Alkwondo11 It is not impossible to love one another. Unfortunately while we continue to segregate ourselves by religion we continue to divide ourselves which ultimately lead to intolerence and a lack of understanding for the rest of the world.
In this world you have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things as u say. It is only with religion that you have good people doing terrible things to their fellow brother of man in the name of their God.
@jimmajamma2006 Your problem is that you assume the entire World revolves around your ideology and that the World functions the way that you're supposing it does. TRUE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST go out into the World and preach the truth about Christ to those who do not believe. Don't develop a perception of Christians based on corrupted one's, you have obviously been setting your eyes upon the wrong believers.
@Alkwondo11 Unfortunately when u have different groups of people who are willing to die and kill for their belief and insist on living with their own people seperate from others, a lack of understanding develops between people. As we fear what we dont know, hatred for the other groups breeds which ultimately develops into war time and time again. If we can just learn to reject religion and see people as human beings first then the neverending war could be stopped.
@Alkwondo11 When u say TRUE followers this is in effect meaningless as what is true for one follower is not true for another. For the muslim with bombs strapped to his chest or the African Christian who is killing a child which it believes is a witch which is currently going on all the time they believe they are true followers doing the lords work.
@jimmajamma2006 You cannot compare Christianity with any other belief, straight up. No, there is only one definition of a true follower and that can be found in the Bible, if you could actually read the entire thing before criticizing any of its content.
@Alkwondo11 People have worshipped nearly 10,000 different Gods over history. I take it you dont believe in the God Rah or Zeus. In a way u r an athist too u just have one more God to go. I can accept that you my use the new testament as a moral code but it is just silly to take it literally or to believe that God sent his son 2000 years ago to be sacrificed for our sins. What was he doing for the other 99,000 years humans have existed?
@Alkwondo11 Forget what u have been told to believe or have taught yourself your hold life and try to step outside the box and look at the world the way it is. The world does not operate with miracles or God appearing in bushes. Everything has a reason and a consequence. If u beleive in this why not believe in fairies and father Christmas too?
@jimmajamma2006 First off, if you believe there is good and there are consequences (bad,) then right there you are giving evidence for God. An atheist or agnostic has no place for moral obligations and for those who believe for the nonexistence of a God then there is no good or bad. There is nothing. No hope. You should be able to do WHATEVER you want. But what you say by "consequence" means that some are obliged to live, and some are not. Evidences of God's existence.
@Alkwondo11 Firstly - Good and bad does not give evidence of God in anyway. Good and bad is a man made perception- eg The nuclear bomb on hiroshima was an evil, terrible thing but it put an end to the war - who knows how many more might have died?
Morals also have no requirement of God. Where survival and social harmony are paramount for a community to flourish it is natural to discourage murder and adultery for example. African tribes follow these rules and so do apes. cont
@jimmajamma2006 Morals are not man made; you know that the feeling of seeing a man massacre little children is BEYOND mere "man-made rules." That amazing feeling you get when you are loved by others - loving is also a moral, but you know deep down in your heart the feeling you get is beyond biochemical processes. When you see an extremely beautiful woman, that drive to unveil her clothing with your eyes. You kno for afact that it is beyond rules, but an intensive feeling God has entrusted inall
But let me ask you this - if you are saying that morals are not made by God, then why is everything that God says is good, and what He says is wrong, is how we perceive it in life today? Can you explain that? Why is killing a bad thing, instead of a good thing? What did man reference killing with that made it bad? Imaginary? What I'm saying is, why isn't loving a bad thing, and killing a good thing? You might as well leave it like that, since the Bible means nothing right? (cont...)
See you make absolutely no sense. In the Bible, God tells us that murder, adultery, stealing, etc- is bad. Why is it that people today run on these rules? That extreme guilt when we break these covenants? You say the Bible doesn't matter, yet practically all the rules are based off how God has commanded us to live like. God says in the Bible he has placed government authority to govern how He wants us to live. And isn't that exactly how it is, how he wants us to live? We go to jail (cont..)
We got to jail for killing, murdering, stealing, etc-. What moral basis did man created his morals then? There is nothing to reference off of, other than the Bible, which is how it is today, and has been. If you are an atheist, what is good, what is bad? Other than superficial words because you know that certain actions deliver harsher guilt than other things, proving that dif. actions have harsher consequences. But what is harsher, and what is kinder? See you can't explain any of this can you?
This merely proves that good and evil has always existed and there is a fine line on what is good, and what is bad. If I told you (man) that drinking juice is a bad thing to do, for no apparent reason, (since that is how you are assuming man created it,) do you think I will feel a killing conviction if I drink it? NO! I hope you understand where I am coming from. I'm tired of arguing with you, and I hope you can stop hardening yourself and realize the evidences of God's work everywhere.
@Alkwondo11 Not to sound patronising but when u r a non believer the thought of someone actually believing in the stories of the bible seems ridiculous which I am sure we would both agree on if we were talking about other peoples religions like Islam and the roman Gods back i the day. In a sense we are both atheists as neither of us believe in the thousands of Gods Man as thought up over the Millenia. You just have one more to go I guess which is a funny way of looking at it.
@Alkwondo11 My Grand dad believed in God to some degree and believed when he died he was going to heaven or pergatory and I would not have dreamed of taking that away from him. In a way I am jealous that I dont have this comfort as the idea of an afterlife to me although I can never know for sure but am pretty certain does not exist. It is our brain which is making all this happen and once thats gone it's over as far as I can c logically from what I have learned from the way things work.
@jimmajamma2006 I will only show respect to you now. I understand it is hard to believe in something you cannot see. But I also find it even harder to believe that life itself happened out of no where and we have no purpose. But you know deep down in your heart there is a reason for life and there has to be a creator for everything created in life. Toys, art, paintings - you wouldn't believe it came out of no where. In the same sense I believe that those paintings have artists i believe
@Alkwondo11 And although this is not a strong argument for the existence of God, I truly believe that it will somehow waiver your mind. I understand that you do not believe in God. I do. Jesus' existence was historically proven by over 6,000 eye-witnessed manuscripts. Everything that he did is historically sound, even all the supernatural events. If I am wrong about God, and I die, I lose absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. But if I am right about God and you die, you lose absolutely EVERYTHING.
@Alkwondo11 It is proven that the bible is written decades after the death of christ and is second hand evidence. I for example would not believe in Ghosts if someone I didnt even know said they saw one. There are people now who claim to be son of God and virgin brith etc and one in particular has a million followers now. This is going on all the time. The religion u adopt is almost entirely controlled by geography. If u were born in Pakistan u would not even have heard of Jesus Christ.
@Alkwondo11 U have to consider also that since the existence of humanity people have worshipped around 10,000 different Gods. I know that it all seems relevant to you and once u convince yourself of something and base your life around it, it becomes almost impossible to turn your back. Friends and family r also believers probobaly, church community. How much would it change your day to day life?
@Alkwondo11 U say u lose absolutely nothing. I would think if there is a God and he saw that you became part of an organisation that violently spread itself accross the globe through the roman, Spanish and Crusades that he he would not look very kindly on this either. Bottom line is that u r saying that u would be scared that u would go to hell. This is a sad reason to believe in anything. Fearing somebody u r supposed to love is also quite a creepy concept in view.
@jimmajamma2006 How many times do I have to repeat to you that I am no part of no organization but merely a faithful follower of God. Don't ever disrespect me for the actions of others. How many times do I have to tell you to not judge believers of Christ based on what those hypocritical, violent-breeders did.
@Alkwondo11 What church do you belong to? If u r not part of any church and do not meet to talk about Jesus specifically with a group of people ever then I stand corrected?
@jimmajamma2006 Those "hypocritical, violent-breeders" are the reason why you are Christian today. You wouldnt have heard of Jesus Christ if the Romans and Spanish and Crusaders hadnt violently spread the "good news" accross the globe. You associate yourself with these people by default and if you have children and lable them Christians, you place the same responsibility on their shoulders too . eg if muslims and jews didnt lable their children- within a generation - no holy land, no holy war.
@jimmajamma2006 I don't associate with "people." They are no the reason why I became a believer, nor will they be the reason why I stop being a believer. I believe because it's a fact that God exists and that we live with a purpose. You might as well kill yourself if you think we have no purpose, living in an infinite world (and infinity is a made-up concept and always contradicts itself.) The chances of of atheistic life origin theories is like a bunny appearing out of nowhere into my hands.
@jimmajamma2006 Just stop and think for a second. THINK for once. Stop hardening yourself with your lack of belief. You really think life has no purpose? Seriously think. You think we are accidents? That makes absolutely no sense. The chances that we existed out of chemical means is so low that it is not even logically possible. I know you know deep inside life has a deeper meaning. You KNOW IT. Stop kidding yourself and feeding yourself with lies. I know without a doubt life is not accidental.
@jimmajamma2006 I am a Christian under the Southern Baptist denomination. I have been serving in the church for many years and I do what I can to spread the gospel. I am in no way associated with a cult.
@Alkwondo11 eg - we dont blame germans anymore because they r not under a facist regime. We dont blame russians anymore because they are not under a communist regime. We dont blame the British anymore coz they nolonger hav an empire. U can certainly hold Christians and Muslims accountable because nothing has changed and most denominations if they r big enough still influence politics today. Y else would George Bush have referred to good and evil so much. Clearly religiously motivated.
@jimmajamma2006 Ultimately what you are saying is... that beautiful and friendly smile you see on your loved ones and little children is merely an illusion to the mind. You are saying that it means nothing. But you know there is a stronger meaning. A feeling that cannot be explained but is present in our lives. You have become so hardened it saddens me..
@Alkwondo11 U associate having faith as having meaning in life and that an atheist cannot have meaning. On the contrary when u accept the knowledge that our existence is finite then you choose to live each day to the fullest. The truth is we r all agnostic because noone actually knows what happens after life as once u r dead u cant come back 2 tell the story. I believe in the enlightenment and the constant search for moral truth in this world - this certainly isnt achieved by staying in the past
@jimmajamma2006 The reason why I do it because I believe that for the human race to continue we must first do away with the irrational belief system which has caused the misery of so many in the past and still today. With the discouraging of condoms spreading disease along side the attitude of "go forth and multiply". The persecution of homosexual as immoral and evil. The persection of women being burned alive as witches. Scientists like Gallileo being tortured for his beliefs.
@jimmajamma2006 How are you to associate Christianity with persecuting women? And I have a question for you. Why isn't homosexuality the right thing? Who made it man and woman? Does that make any sense? Why couldn't it have been man and man? Who determined that? You see that deep moral feeling you get inside your heart and that conviction knowing that homosexuality is wrong is beyond superficiality. It's not a man-made moral and YOU KNOW THAT. man to man was never in God's plan
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee
@Alkwondo11 The evidence of this is clear during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries with the burning of women who were percieved to be witches initially because they maintained their pagan beliefs but later simply because they were percieved as evil following Eve being given the blame for man's fall.
@jimmajamma2006 Yeah atheists cannot have meaning if life because meaning in life means searching for something that has hope. And there is no hope in an atheist mind-set, just nothingness, plain and simple.
@Alkwondo11 That is very sad that u believe there is no hope in life. I am always in awe of the changing world around us and feel privileged that I have an existence on this earth -short as it may be.
@Alkwondo11 The obstacle to stem cell research which is vital for our survival. The constant war between different faiths. It is only when we start to treat everyone as human beings and cut out the division of faith and face reality and all the dangers that it brings as a united people that we can have any hope of surviving on this planet. The Islamic, Jewish and Christian belief systems are utterly incompatible
@jimmajamma2006 Unity? Happiness on this Earth? You think that life on this earth is the place where we need to enjoy it. But it's not. Adam did the most horrific thing and seperated us from God - that's why we are here. This place is temporary and if you truly wanted to help people you would worry about what happens to them for eternity. Things here are completely succinct and everything gets left behind. But Heaven is really what matters.
@Alkwondo11 1 Corinthians 14:33-35 for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints. 34 Let the women keep silent in the churches; for they are not permitted to speak, but let them subject themselves, just as the Law also says. 35 And if they desire to learn anything, let them ask their own husbands at home; for it is improper for a woman to speak in church.
@Alkwondo11 So men and children both rule over women. i think the bibe argues my pint quite effectively without me having to say too much. For me this is clear evidence that the Bible is man made. It certainly wouldnt have read the same if the authors were women lol.
@Alkwondo11 If God made us then he made 10% of us homosexual. If u speak to a child who turns out to be gay it is clearly evident from a young age. They socialise with women, they prefer girls toys generally. It is only very backward cultures who still choose to oppress homosexuals - thankfully we now have some degree of civilization so we dont burn them any longer either. As a teenager I mocked them but u cant live your life in such a petty way.
@Alkwondo11 Imagine if u had to live your life being told by the church and community that u were never aloud to seek love and happiness on this earth. it would be a sad existence. Most I have met have nothing but love for the world and are decent thoughtful human beings. In my opinion is is sad that along with women that is 60% of the world that has had to live life oppressed all because of man's childish fears.
@Alkwondo11 Also from an evolutionary point of view they are perhaps essential 4 maintaining social harmony in a mans world as they "generally" have mor compassion and mediating skills. Finally if I had a homosexual and a Christian priest comin to my door asking if they could babysit my children. I 'd consider the first on his/her child caring merits. 4 the priest I think i would call the police! for a christian to refer to a gay as immoral is laughable
@Alkwondo11 This is a logical assumption to come to as everything man made has a designer - it is only when evolution comes along that this question is answered and explains very well how through natural selection, survival of the fittest, species adapt and mutate over thousands of generations.
@Alkwondo11 2) So are you saying that the only reason you do not steal, commit murder and adultery is because the bible tells you so? That is nonsense. I do not do these things because I do not want to hurt other people and I would not want these things to happen to me. It is called empathy. God does not come into the equation.
@jimmajamma2006 Oh really? As an atheist you have no room for good or bad, absolutely not. As mere cosmic accidents we have no purpose and we have no reasoning. Killing others shouldn't even matter - the feeling of "not wanting to hurt other people" is a mere illusion then. So something must be wrong here then. If we are convicted so greatly even if human reasoning doesn't even make sense and is just an illusion. I do good because I love God and I love others, real christians don't live by works
Reasoning and consequences don't exist in a lifestyle fueled by the belief of an accidental world that is absent of a supreme God. The World DOES NOT OPERATE BY MIRACLES YOU ARE RIGHT. The World is a total abomination and corruption created by the Original Sin and empowered by man's tainted sin. The Bible says that Satan controls the World. Still you are blind to see what God still does in the midst of all this evil. Open your eyes and stop hardening your heart.
""Could there really be any such thing as horrifying wickedness [if there were no God and we just evolved]? I don't see how. There can be such a thing only if there is a way that rational creatures are supposed to live, obliged to live....A [secular] way of looking at the world has no place for genuine moral obligation of any sort...and thus no way to say there is such a thing as genuine and appalling wickedness... (continued)
@Alkwondo11 3) If God is all powerful then Satan would not exist.
4) Of course there could be such a thing as horrifying wickedness. I'm sure the baby dear would look at the death of its mother being eatern alive by a lion as wicked and horrid but the lion cubs who have been starving for days would see this differently.
@Alkwondo11 If you believe in this quote, why on earth would you belong to a religion where the only reason most are born into it today is because Christians throughout history have massacred all in their path during the Roman, Crusades and Spanish Empire. Dont kid yourself that in someway religion provides any additional moral obligation. History certainly proves that point.
@jimmajamma2006 I don't follow a "religion," I follow Christ and I believe in Him. I DON'T FOLLOW HIM BECAUSE OF OTHER PEOPLE AND WHAT OTHER PEOPLE HAVE DONE, I FOLLOW HIM SOLELY BECAUSE OF WHAT HE HAS DONE. Why are you so into referencing other people? This faith is about you and God, not about what OTHERS have done. I as a true christian do not accept what those other people have done. Clearly LIKE i HAVE SAID COUNTLESS TIMES they're not true Christians, so don't judge us by their actions.
(continuing).....Accordingly, if you think there really is such a thing as horrifying wickedness (...and not just an illusion of some sort), then you have a powerful...argume...nt [for the reality of God]." -Alvin Plantinga
@Alkwondo11 The main problem is that the bible can be interpreted in so many ways. Christianity is based on the Abrhamic beliefs as with Judaism and islam.
The commandments say thou shalt not kill (this is good) cont...
Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." (Numbers 31:16-18) (RAPE)
Comment
Moses commands the murder of approximately 100,000 young males and, roughly, 68,000 helpless women.
This is mass genocide - so as u see a follower of the above is very different from a follower of thou shalt not kill
@Alkwondo11 This is the kind of atrocities which have happened throughut religious history and is still going on in Palestine Israel etc Unless we look at the bigger and realise what we are indirectly responsible for by labling our children Christians etc before they have the chance to learn about all religion before making a decision this will always continue. One can just hope that with education more and more people will learn to think for themselves.
@jimmajamma2006 Yes religion has caused much chaos but true Christians will never indulge in chaotic massacres so whoever does, please question their faith.
@Alkwondo11 I'm glad u have admitted that Christians have caused a lot of chaos. I am not asking you whether you believe these were true Christians. This question is irrelevant because what is true for one christian is not the same as another. The point is when u divide yourself by faith and believe God is on your side and believe God has somehow chosen you or cares who would win a war and another group of people believe aexactly the same, you have a real recipe for war.
@Alkwondo11 If you talk to many Christians particularly in America he/she looks at a Muslim as almost sub human like an animal and does not really view them as human beings at all in my experience. It wouldnt matter if the Muslim came from Iran or Saudi Arabia, to most Christians, it is the same thing. Unfortunately this is what religion does. It keeps people in distinct groups seperated from others and gives people unhealthy views on the world.
@Alkwondo11 This is true enough one cannot judge a people by individual acts. I have travelled the world and met all types of Christians. The majorityas with atheists are good people living good lives. What I am asking u to do is look at the bigger picture. By labling your child with your belief u r not giving him the opportunity to decide for himself. While we continue to do this we divide ouselves as a human race by faith. cont...

Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 "If there are no absolute morals than killing and doing whatever shouldn't be a problem right?”
If no one gave a damn then yes absolutely. However, in reality it doesn’t work that way. Society & the laws that govern it hold people accountable to their actions. There is also the learnt moral foundations relevant to society and upbringing that can instil a sense of guilt (regardless of them being correct or not) if you act against them.
Does this make sense to you?
NightHawkBomber001 1 year ago
@NightHawkBomber001
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Why did society decide that rape was bad? Ultimately because it leads to conflict and unrest as it is a violation of another person. Conflict is not good within a society. This has been rooted in humans through history. I did not argue that Guilt is felt via the knowledge of consequence, i said consequence gives people a reason to follow law. Guilt is easily instilled via upbringing, and the actions of others.
NightHawkBomber001 1 year ago
@NightHawkBomber001 Could I ask why rape causes conflict? You see conflict is stimulated by the desire to NOT have rape. Right? Why should rape not ought to occur? And why is a wetdream = unclean? What is your standard of reference when you call something unclean, because I for one, could assert that giving a gift to a homeless man is an unclean act, but everyone knows it's not, but don't you ponder on why it's just a universally accepted truth?
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Rape causes conflict because its not consensual and has negative effects on the victim. It does not promote a safe society. The wet-dream example was from the bible not my own. It was an example to show how guilt can be instilled falsely. The example you gave is not universally accepted.
NightHawkBomber001 1 year ago
@NightHawkBomber001
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11
NightHawkBomber001 1 year ago
@NightHawkBomber001 No, my point is this - why should I respect your opinion, when virtue holds no significance? Why should I "ought" to respect you? But you assume that I should seriously consider what you say - meaning you have a deeper insight far superior to a speculated "man-made" rulebook that is telling you, hey, equality is needed.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 You don’t have to respect my opinion. You don’t have to respect me. It doesn’t help your argument and doesn’t say much for you as a person. You can ignore the fact that what I am saying is not only sound but has a good justification for being true. I started this by pointing out that your narrow minded observation (if morals are constructs theres no issue doing “immoral things”) was flawed. and that there was a more sensible way of presenting it
NightHawkBomber001 1 year ago
@NightHawkBomber001 No, but you EXPECT me to take what you're saying seriously right? Because ultimately your words are mere chicken-scratch that hold no significance in a World explained by Naturalistic science. The fact that you are arguing back says in itself that you want me to understand your opinion. You want me to take you seriously. Could I ask you one thing? p.s. - I really care for you, I'm honestly a nice guy. But if you believe there is nothing ahead of you, why not kill yourself?
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Ultimately I would assume the good and decency in a person. So yes I would expect you to listen and be decent. I could be wrong, and your actions and responses would allow me to make that judgement.
What makes you think i have nothing ahead of me?
NightHawkBomber001 1 year ago
@NightHawkBomber001 Please don't take that question and implement it LOL. But I'm curious. I mean, you might as well speed up the process, there is no hope for you in your atheistic belief. :/ No sarcasm intended.

Alkwondo11 10 months ago
@Alkwondo11 Hostile? So its ok to be a little bit snarky and rude, and when i respond without anything rude you ignore me? when i call you out on the cowardly action you call me hostile? HOw about you answer my question and stop avoiding it?
We never reached a statement. You said " But if you believe there is nothing ahead of you, why not kill yourself?”
My response followed, you cowered away.
NightHawkBomber001 10 months ago

Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 I laugh at how people think they they know what happens once we die. Pathetic. I also laugh that you r brainwashed so much that u actually believe we r gambling with our lives. In that case you r also gambling with your life as all the religions today say that if u follow another religion u will not reach heaven. Islam even says if u believe Jesus is Divine u go straight to hell. If u believe this nonsense then u r gambling with your life as well.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 I am certainly not brainwashed. I question and doubt my faith everyday. But that's how I grow stronger in my faith because I am learning more and more and realizing more and more that God does exist.
If you are going to quote the Quran then please read the entire thing and understand its context. Same as the Bible. You are in no position to criticize believers without even knowing the entire meaning and context of the Bible.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 It is only natural to doubt your faith as everything all the evidence points to their not being a God. If u believe in the creation and Adam n Eve u r definately brainwashed in my opinion. Evolution is an accepted fact not only with the studying of bones but with gene matching technology. As an intelligent human being who questions u must have to force yourself to believe the creation story which so obviously is untrue.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 I have read most of the quaran and I have certainly read the bible many times. Most of it is pretty simple stuff. Most storys have fairly simple moral teachings which I dont believe is very difficult to understand. I'm not critising it anyway. there are some good stories and lessons to be learned but to consider it as anything other than fiction is border line lunacy in my opinion.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
And you know what? How dare you discriminate me for my faith. Because you are absolutely NO DIFFERENT FROM ME. You know that atheism and agnosticism is just as much as a belief then Christianity is? If you cannot single-handedly prove to me right in my face that Jesus Christ never existed, never resurrected, and God does not exist at all, then you are taking a leap of faith in saying that "God doesn't exist." Because you can't disprove God in anyway, you are having faith just as much as I am.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 "You know that atheism and agnosticism is just as much as a belief then Christianity is?" You seem to have missunderstood the terms. Atheism means the non belief of God - nothing else, - a non belief cannot not be a belief can it? There are no doctrines. We r not told how and with whom we can have sex and we r not claiming to have all the answers to our existence and more importantly we see the garden as already beautiful without having to think that fairies r at the bottom of it
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 You fall into irony, any belief is anything in which a person puts trust into without seeing it with their eyes. Belief is trusting something that you cannot see. And you cannot prove straight up to me that God does not exist right? You are taking a leap of faith and there is no denying it.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 U r confused - a belief can be either with or with out seeing it. The latter is called blind faith which is what your belief in God is refferred to as being. The onus is on u to prove that God exists. It is you that believes you have all the answers. God may exist but I would say it is the same likelihood that my Godfish created the universe. Scientists dont yet have all the answers but at least they r making an effort so I guess I put my faith in them to explain with evidence.

I agree - this is getting tiring... I dont want to be rude but it is like talking to a brick wall (no offence) in the sense that u have made your mind up and bottom line is for you Jesus and God are very real things and you ahve a relationship with them. For me growing up i did believe in the bible at a young age but as both my parents are Non practicing Christians, I put it behind me about the same age as I stopped playing with toys. cont

At least science makes an attempt to find answers instead of just closeing their minds.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
You may call them inane acts but they are evidence of Christian killing in the name of Jesus Christ. Another more recent example of this is the Orthodox Christian Serbs who systematically selected and then slaughtered nearly 8,000 men and boys between the ages of twelve and sixty - the worst mass murder in Europe since World War II. In addition, the Serbs continued to engage in mass rapes of Muslim females all in the ame of Jesus Christ.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 You cannot just selectively judge all Christians based on the actions of these I'm assuming "corrupted and false Christians." Obviously if they did those horrific acts then they're not true followers of Christ.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago

These verses expose the error of Driscoll's Calvinism.

God wants to save the whole world. He appeals to us but men resist the Holy Spirit (who is God) (see Acts 7:15 )

@ulmy777 If God exists, would he rather you make a rational decision based on fact or base your belief on 'faith' alone.
And before you answer that question, remember, if God exists, then he made you as a rational moral human being.
Chriswantsyoutoknow 1 year ago
@ulmy777 Now this is just some advice.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (not full verse)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together.
The bible says that christians need to meet together. Its not that you need to give up your 'people' but that your ultimate group of 'people' should be Christian bros and sis'. Besides, how can you consider someone who doesnt accept you as a friend? Pray about it, get a mentor. You'll be fine.
rroknedaj 1 year ago
@ulmy777 I can imagine it must be - It is only in the last few hundred years with education, the ability to read and write that people have begun to make their own personal decisions. Look at the world in which we live in and the way it works. For example the arch bishop of Carlilse believes that the recent floods of west yorkshire are a direct punishment for homosexuality in the area. - rationally however we know for FACT that homosexuality has NO effect on meteorology.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@ulmy777 Through out history there have been thousands of different Gods, Thor, Zeus, Allah, etc etc. We now know that humans have been around for at least 100,000 years. Life expectancy has been between 20 and 25 years old. Most people dying from infections and microbes in the air that the bible does not mention because MAN didnt know about them. If what the bible is true then for 98,000 years God watched man suffering terrible lives before deciding to come down and be sacrificed for our sins.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago

@ulmy777 For example - We now speak a universal language so we can communicate, we are all having sex with eachother so are becoming the same color. Tough love my friend
incbuba 1 year ago
@incbuba lol - You have wonderfully illustrated my point. Don't you see - this is word for word what Mohammed has said to his people - "no one would go to the Father but through him..." Jews, Sihks, Hindus all say the same This is the tragedy I speak of. U CANT ALL BE RIGHT - but u can all be wrong. A muslim would also say the same about tough love for those wandering away from the true path. It is so small minded and destructive and ultimately divides us as human beings which is all we r.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@incbuba Ask yourself the question: If I was born in India or Pakistan, would I believe in Christianity. You would either be Muslim or Hindu. From that you can establish that it is only due to where u r born that has made u believe what u believe. Going further if you live anywhere in the world other than Jerusalem, the only reason u r surrounded by Christianity today is because of the extremely violent spreading of the religion during the Crusades and Spanish Inquisition.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@incbuba The thing I find most pathetic is that Il live in Liondon and everyday I meet Christians, Pagans, Hindus, Sikhs, Muslims etc etc and all of them without fail laugh to themselves when asking the question "Have u considered that maybe Christianity is the truth?" and do u know what they say? They say they will see when it comes to judgement day. And they r fucking smiling when they say this. So happy with themselves that they are following the true path. It is disgusting in my view.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@incbuba If God was real - he would not be so petty and childish as to care whether u belonged to one church or another or prayed to a cross instead of a crescent. If God were real all he would care about is whether we were good people or not. He would even look more favoroubly I believe on those who were truly good for their love of man and were not just doing good for fear of hell or desire for heaven. Try to think out of the box and open your eyes to reality + read lots of books.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 He doesn't care at all if any of us are good people (in a sense you a missing a huge portion of His desire) which is for us to have FAITH in Him and Jesus Christ. THEN believers bear good fruit. We are not saved through our works, but by faith. But also, faith without works is dead. So basically he cares if you first had genuine faith in Him, which leads to good works, (being a good person.) Not if you are just a good person (any non-believer can be a good person and not believe.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 You have missunderstood what i am saying - My point is I am asking u to step out of the box for a moment and really think - if there was a God, what would he want from us. His main main desire would not be that we worship him it would be that we do good on this planet not for Jesus or or for him or to go to heaven but coz we truly want to others to live happier lives. "A selfless act".
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 You are not rooted into the Word AT ALL are you? God's FIRST greatest commandment was that we LOVE GOD. THEN, He says in a secondary commandment that we love others. God is always above all, He deliberately tells us that anyone who loves their parents more than God is not a true follow of Him. God is above all, no human is. Then that becomes false worship and idolatry. If you LOVE GOD, you LOVE OTHERS AS WELL. Loving God always comes first, no matter the circumstance.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 2) Altho much the same point -Love thy neighbour would be key in my view and this does not mean "love thy neighbour as long as they follow the same religion and live next door. THis means love thy neighbour where ever they are from. You must see that for a Christian it is impossible to truly love thy neighbour when they follow a different belief and in your eyes are not worthy of Gods love and who are ultimately hethans who are destinesd to burn in hell.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 You must be unsociable or something, because it is very possible to love any person. You must not be a follower at all if you believe you can't love anyone else because there are strict discrepancies in all humans. It DOESN'T MATTER. I can love and respect anyone, and straight up, everyone has different views. No one is the same as you. You make it seem impossible to love one another; you must truly have some hatred towards society or something.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 This was in Bosnia during the 1990's. How any Christian say they truly love thy neighbour and commit such atrocties to their fell brother of man is beyond me. As u say the first commandment is to love God over anyone else and I believe this is where the problem lies.

@Alkwondo11 It is not impossible to love one another. Unfortunately while we continue to segregate ourselves by religion we continue to divide ourselves which ultimately lead to intolerence and a lack of understanding for the rest of the world.
In this world you have good people doing good things and bad people doing bad things as u say. It is only with religion that you have good people doing terrible things to their fellow brother of man in the name of their God.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago

If we can just learn to reject religion and see people as human beings first then the neverending war could be stopped.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 When u say TRUE followers this is in effect meaningless as what is true for one follower is not true for another. For the muslim with bombs strapped to his chest or the African Christian who is killing a child which it believes is a witch which is currently going on all the time they believe they are true followers doing the lords work.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 You cannot compare Christianity with any other belief, straight up. No, there is only one definition of a true follower and that can be found in the Bible, if you could actually read the entire thing before criticizing any of its content.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 People have worshipped nearly 10,000 different Gods over history. I take it you dont believe in the God Rah or Zeus. In a way u r an athist too u just have one more God to go. I can accept that you my use the new testament as a moral code but it is just silly to take it literally or to believe that God sent his son 2000 years ago to be sacrificed for our sins. What was he doing for the other 99,000 years humans have existed?
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Forget what u have been told to believe or have taught yourself your hold life and try to step outside the box and look at the world the way it is. The world does not operate with miracles or God appearing in bushes. Everything has a reason and a consequence. If u beleive in this why not believe in fairies and father Christmas too?
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 First off, if you believe there is good and there are consequences (bad,) then right there you are giving evidence for God. An atheist or agnostic has no place for moral obligations and for those who believe for the nonexistence of a God then there is no good or bad. There is nothing. No hope. You should be able to do WHATEVER you want. But what you say by "consequence" means that some are obliged to live, and some are not. Evidences of God's existence.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Firstly - Good and bad does not give evidence of God in anyway. Good and bad is a man made perception- eg The nuclear bomb on hiroshima was an evil, terrible thing but it put an end to the war - who knows how many more might have died?
Morals also have no requirement of God. Where survival and social harmony are paramount for a community to flourish it is natural to discourage murder and adultery for example. African tribes follow these rules and so do apes. cont
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 Morals are not man made; you know that the feeling of seeing a man massacre little children is BEYOND mere "man-made rules." That amazing feeling you get when you are loved by others - loving is also a moral, but you know deep down in your heart the feeling you get is beyond biochemical processes. When you see an extremely beautiful woman, that drive to unveil her clothing with your eyes. You kno for afact that it is beyond rules, but an intensive feeling God has entrusted inall
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
But let me ask you this - if you are saying that morals are not made by God, then why is everything that God says is good, and what He says is wrong, is how we perceive it in life today? Can you explain that? Why is killing a bad thing, instead of a good thing? What did man reference killing with that made it bad? Imaginary? What I'm saying is, why isn't loving a bad thing, and killing a good thing? You might as well leave it like that, since the Bible means nothing right? (cont...)
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
See you make absolutely no sense. In the Bible, God tells us that murder, adultery, stealing, etc- is bad. Why is it that people today run on these rules? That extreme guilt when we break these covenants? You say the Bible doesn't matter, yet practically all the rules are based off how God has commanded us to live like. God says in the Bible he has placed government authority to govern how He wants us to live. And isn't that exactly how it is, how he wants us to live? We go to jail (cont..)
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
We got to jail for killing, murdering, stealing, etc-. What moral basis did man created his morals then? There is nothing to reference off of, other than the Bible, which is how it is today, and has been. If you are an atheist, what is good, what is bad? Other than superficial words because you know that certain actions deliver harsher guilt than other things, proving that dif. actions have harsher consequences. But what is harsher, and what is kinder? See you can't explain any of this can you?
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
This merely proves that good and evil has always existed and there is a fine line on what is good, and what is bad. If I told you (man) that drinking juice is a bad thing to do, for no apparent reason, (since that is how you are assuming man created it,) do you think I will feel a killing conviction if I drink it? NO! I hope you understand where I am coming from. I'm tired of arguing with you, and I hope you can stop hardening yourself and realize the evidences of God's work everywhere.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Not to sound patronising but when u r a non believer the thought of someone actually believing in the stories of the bible seems ridiculous which I am sure we would both agree on if we were talking about other peoples religions like Islam and the roman Gods back i the day. In a sense we are both atheists as neither of us believe in the thousands of Gods Man as thought up over the Millenia. You just have one more to go I guess which is a funny way of looking at it.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 My Grand dad believed in God to some degree and believed when he died he was going to heaven or pergatory and I would not have dreamed of taking that away from him. In a way I am jealous that I dont have this comfort as the idea of an afterlife to me although I can never know for sure but am pretty certain does not exist. It is our brain which is making all this happen and once thats gone it's over as far as I can c logically from what I have learned from the way things work.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 I will only show respect to you now. I understand it is hard to believe in something you cannot see. But I also find it even harder to believe that life itself happened out of no where and we have no purpose. But you know deep down in your heart there is a reason for life and there has to be a creator for everything created in life. Toys, art, paintings - you wouldn't believe it came out of no where. In the same sense I believe that those paintings have artists i believe
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 And although this is not a strong argument for the existence of God, I truly believe that it will somehow waiver your mind. I understand that you do not believe in God. I do. Jesus' existence was historically proven by over 6,000 eye-witnessed manuscripts. Everything that he did is historically sound, even all the supernatural events. If I am wrong about God, and I die, I lose absolutely nothing. Nothing at all. But if I am right about God and you die, you lose absolutely EVERYTHING.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 It is proven that the bible is written decades after the death of christ and is second hand evidence. I for example would not believe in Ghosts if someone I didnt even know said they saw one. There are people now who claim to be son of God and virgin brith etc and one in particular has a million followers now. This is going on all the time. The religion u adopt is almost entirely controlled by geography. If u were born in Pakistan u would not even have heard of Jesus Christ.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 U have to consider also that since the existence of humanity people have worshipped around 10,000 different Gods. I know that it all seems relevant to you and once u convince yourself of something and base your life around it, it becomes almost impossible to turn your back. Friends and family r also believers probobaly, church community. How much would it change your day to day life?
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 U say u lose absolutely nothing. I would think if there is a God and he saw that you became part of an organisation that violently spread itself accross the globe through the roman, Spanish and Crusades that he he would not look very kindly on this either. Bottom line is that u r saying that u would be scared that u would go to hell. This is a sad reason to believe in anything. Fearing somebody u r supposed to love is also quite a creepy concept in view.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 How many times do I have to repeat to you that I am no part of no organization but merely a faithful follower of God. Don't ever disrespect me for the actions of others. How many times do I have to tell you to not judge believers of Christ based on what those hypocritical, violent-breeders did.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 What church do you belong to? If u r not part of any church and do not meet to talk about Jesus specifically with a group of people ever then I stand corrected?
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 Those "hypocritical, violent-breeders" are the reason why you are Christian today. You wouldnt have heard of Jesus Christ if the Romans and Spanish and Crusaders hadnt violently spread the "good news" accross the globe. You associate yourself with these people by default and if you have children and lable them Christians, you place the same responsibility on their shoulders too . eg if muslims and jews didnt lable their children- within a generation - no holy land, no holy war.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 I don't associate with "people." They are no the reason why I became a believer, nor will they be the reason why I stop being a believer. I believe because it's a fact that God exists and that we live with a purpose. You might as well kill yourself if you think we have no purpose, living in an infinite world (and infinity is a made-up concept and always contradicts itself.) The chances of of atheistic life origin theories is like a bunny appearing out of nowhere into my hands.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 Just stop and think for a second. THINK for once. Stop hardening yourself with your lack of belief. You really think life has no purpose? Seriously think. You think we are accidents? That makes absolutely no sense. The chances that we existed out of chemical means is so low that it is not even logically possible. I know you know deep inside life has a deeper meaning. You KNOW IT. Stop kidding yourself and feeding yourself with lies. I know without a doubt life is not accidental.

We dont blame the British anymore coz they nolonger hav an empire. Y else would George Bush have referred to good and evil so much. Clearly religiously motivated.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 Ultimately what you are saying is... that beautiful and friendly smile you see on your loved ones and little children is merely an illusion to the mind. You are saying that it means nothing. But you know there is a stronger meaning. A feeling that cannot be explained but is present in our lives. You have become so hardened it saddens me..
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 U associate having faith as having meaning in life and that an atheist cannot have meaning. On the contrary when u accept the knowledge that our existence is finite then you choose to live each day to the fullest. The truth is we r all agnostic because noone actually knows what happens after life as once u r dead u cant come back 2 tell the story. I believe in the enlightenment and the constant search for moral truth in this world - this certainly isnt achieved by staying in the past
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 The reason why I do it because I believe that for the human race to continue we must first do away with the irrational belief system which has caused the misery of so many in the past and still today. With the discouraging of condoms spreading disease along side the attitude of "go forth and multiply". The persecution of homosexual as immoral and evil. The persection of women being burned alive as witches. Scientists like Gallileo being tortured for his beliefs.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 How are you to associate Christianity with persecuting women? And I have a question for you. Why isn't homosexuality the right thing? Who made it man and woman? Does that make any sense? Why couldn't it have been man and man? Who determined that? You see that deep moral feeling you get inside your heart and that conviction knowing that homosexuality is wrong is beyond superficiality. It's not a man-made moral and YOU KNOW THAT. man to man was never in God's plan
Alkwondo11 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 Very easily - 1 Timothy 2:11-15
Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago

@Alkwondo11 The evidence of this is clear during the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries with the burning of women who were percieved to be witches initially because they maintained their pagan beliefs but later simply because they were percieved as evil following Eve being given the blame for man's fall.

@Alkwondo11 The obstacle to stem cell research which is vital for our survival. The constant war between different faiths. It is only when we start to treat everyone as human beings and cut out the division of faith and face reality and all the dangers that it brings as a united people that we can have any hope of surviving on this planet. The Islamic, Jewish and Christian belief systems are utterly incompatible
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 Unity? Happiness on this Earth? You think that life on this earth is the place where we need to enjoy it. But it's not. Adam did the most horrific thing and seperated us from God - that's why we are here. This place is temporary and if you truly wanted to help people you would worry about what happens to them for eternity. Things here are completely succinct and everything gets left behind.

4 the priest I think i would call the police! for a christian to refer to a gay as immoral is laughable
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 This is a logical assumption to come to as everything man made has a designer - it is only when evolution comes along that this question is answered and explains very well how through natural selection, survival of the fittest, species adapt and mutate over thousands of generations.

@Alkwondo11 2) So are you saying that the only reason you do not steal, commit murder and adultery is because the bible tells you so? That is nonsense. I do not do these things because I do not want to hurt other people and I would not want these things to happen to me. It is called empathy. God does not come into the equation.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago

Meditate and understand this quote:

History certainly proves that point.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago

@Alkwondo11 but Moses then commands -
Kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.

One can just hope that with education more and more people will learn to think for themselves.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@jimmajamma2006 Yes religion has caused much chaos but true Christians will never indulge in chaotic massacres so whoever does, please question their faith.
Alkwondo11 1 year ago

It keeps people in distinct groups seperated from others and gives people unhealthy views on the world.
jimmajamma2006 1 year ago
@Alkwondo11 This is true enough one cannot judge a people by individual acts. I have travelled the world and met all types of Christians. The majorityas with atheists are good people living good lives. What I am asking u to do is look at the bigger picture. By labling your child with your belief u r not giving him the opportunity to decide for himself. While we continue to do this we divide ouselves as a human race by faith. cont...
