@MultiClimbers I find it really hard to even try to start a retort to this "statement". All of your name dropping of sources cited for credibility is being betrayed by your lack of proper spelling or grammar or even punctuation. So your team of professionals might "no" (know) more than me, you do not do them justice by coming off so ignorant. Stick to your "pheory" (theory) and I'm sure it will get you far in life, your lack of writing skill however may not. It was mean to be a constructive tip.
Hi guys thank you for your support with the vids, in the next month or so we will be uploading lots more climbing and climbing techniques videos thanks Multiclimbers
people seem to post videos about rappelling and explaining how to use a figure 8 or other devices but they don't show the importance of a prusik, klemheist or any other similar knot, sending people to get killed. A kid used a tree to show a much more mature and safe way to climb than other trained people in their fancy gyms. True respect. Best video i've seen on climbing so far
great to see this kind of videos, like to see the sport is still alive =).... btw, that last know i know it as a machard knot, between climbers we differ a bit from techniques, but mainly the purpose is... do it safe, and have fun... btw i would rather use a machard on carabiner or a intertwined knot , easier to undo and can hold all your weight easier, also tighten up with less force of fall, that means quicker stopping power
A good effort - BUT when it comes to climbing instruction you have to be very careful with what you post. Someone could watch this, follow your instruction, have a nasty accident, or worse, die. You show how to tie a prussik that is far too long and as can be seen clearly does not do the job intended - you actually use your braking hand in the video to stop your fall as the prussik has come up against the ATC allowing the rope to slide through rendering it useless.
TOP SKILLS DUDE! I LOVE TEACHING STUFF TOO. I ALSO LOVE CLIMBING. NOW ASK YOURSELF... ARE YOU A CLIMBER WHO LIKES TO TEACH OR A TEACHER WHO LIKES TO CLIMB. WHICHEVER, CONSIDER TONY YANIRO'S WORDS. " NEVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, PASS UP THE OPPORTUNITY TO GET PUMPED". CRANK IT. ENJOY YOUR SPORT DUDE!
As a member of a technical search and rescue team, I say hats of to you young man. However, along with locking your biner, if you are going to have your prusik below your device you need to extend your device out and/or use a shorter prusik. Otherwise, your device will tend your prusik and your will not stop.

Good video Lad. You taught this late 30's fellow a lot.

this seems like an extremely slow way to rappel having to constantly move the knot down your rope.
VMFA134 2 months ago
@VMFA134 no what u do is hold the knot and have it loose this way u can still rappel but if u needed to stop the knot would tighten up.and catch u
MultiClimbers 2 months ago
@MultiClimbers will this setup work with the 5 Carabiner rappel?
VMFA134 2 months ago
@VMFA134 yes it should but i would be very carefull and would probely put the prusik above the carabiners

Just remember you have to know how to release that knot once it loads. It's not always so easy.
nomadiccanadian 4 months ago
great job, just remember to keep that prussik short.
omleyhugo2514 4 months ago
The length of your prusik is too long as it is important that the knot does not reach the abseil device because it will prevent the knot from working
