  • When they were itty bitty boys and I was full grown, I made my guy take me to the Auditorium to see them. They entered the stage from a car above the stage and truly tore the house down! I love them,,,,,today's boy bands truly stole their style from them....if they could. Hang in there all you guys. The real deal. Hope you make your way to Chi-town again.

  • This was my cut!!!!!A Fan 4 Life From East St. Louis, IL.....my sister was the true ne fan....she has seen them in concert several times.

  • MY PERSONAL THEME......

  • For me, the recruitment of Johnny Gill to New Edition was the best thing that could have ever happened to them. He brought that mature sound which makes HeartBreak their best album of all time. RnB in the 89's was so damn hot!

  • Oh my goodness such a classic!!!

  • The person that disliked this never grew into a man.

  • I love them

  • agree with you all... the memories of this song are so cool

  • This is a song for young men who may be approaching that crossroad... "Growing up can be a pain".

  • man THIS brings back so many memories of my high school years growing up. thanks for the post!

  • My favorite song on the album and this album is STILL HOT....20 plus years later!

  • OMG. OMG WOW!!!!!!

  • this is the best album ever

  • Maybe the best NE song of all time. Johnny Grill brought such an adult sound to their group. They didn't miss Bobby musically. This was the first song I remember thinking "They sound like men instead of boys". Great song, great album.

    Thanks for posting.

  • its funny Boys to Men is a band also

  • @thisafrikan The group Boyz II Men got their name from New Edition's song. Michael Bivins (New Edition member) was also the one that brought Boyz II Men to the public.

  • i love me sum New Edition!!!!! Represent johnny gill (D.C hunny)!!!

  • Damn, they just don't make music like this anymore. I miss those days...

  • ohh i see thankz

  • This song got me threw a lot back in the early 90's O my God and Johnny Gill what a fucking voice

  • is one of them members from new edition in boyz 2 men ?

  • @Mark91841 No. But Michael Bivins of NE was involved in Boyz to Men's career, but in a management/production type of role.

  • Thumbs up if Nelly Sent you here

  • In my office with my eyes closed listening to this. I got rock on & don't care who sees. I love this song.

  • I'm back and hooked on this again tonight! Such a perfect song and yes, far too underrated. They said that Johnny didn't want to do this at first - a little too corny maybe? At the same time, it's so cool that he took it on. I don't think anyone could have added his flavor to. It's beautiful, with a sound that kind of makes you want to cry for those times again. It fits the wonderful young men in my life, including my son...growing and maturing. Peace.

  • People can say what they want about Johnny Gill, but he is a perfect singer and far ahead of his age in his approach to this song. They were all so young and cool. I still love them. Glad to know they are coming back together!

  • whos the ONE person who doesnt like? Identify urself!!

  • I am going to let my 10 year old son listen to this song.... great song for our young men today!

  • man music was so good back then almost every song was good they did not have to cause now almost every song you hear has causing in it

  • Just imagine if lyrics like these exsisted these days - damn what a difference!!

  • you can hear ralph voice all in the song

  • ACTUALLY JOHNNY SAID IN BET BLUEPRINT THAT HE HATED THIS SONG BUT PERFORMED

  • This song is still cool after all these years

  • A Perfect Combination Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis & New Edition. This song is so underrated! I'm so glad Johnny decided to sing it after all. Definitely the best album of N.E.'s career. Hope they do another pure Jam & Lewis project before they retire.

  • @MystroMusicMan Home Agian in my opinion was better, but i love all there albums and most of their solo stuff.

And i agree about them doing more stuff with jimmy and terry. whenever i hear their names i think NE though most peopel would say janet, NE was better.

They had jimmy jam and lewis do some songs for their last album for BAD BOY but puffy wasnt haven that. so we cna all thank puffy for ruining NE, though the album was still good.

  • I love me some Johnny Gill! This song was made for him!
