I have this on my DVR & won't ever delete..amazing thing about this performance, especially recognizable by anyone of an age to be shocked by Sir Alfred Hitchcock: when Carrie Anne said "Brilliance in the Ballroom..Done" she nailed it. As moody, scary as the film's most telling scene...now a tale told by DANCE. Derek Hough, you, too, are a MASTER.
It had great footwork and really good posture... I loved it and I think she is a very good dancer with an awesome dancer and a good suspense I agree with Carrie Ann I would indeed give them a 10
Derek is a genius. hands down this psycho tango is amazing choreo-wise. sorry but Ricki's execution IMO is not deserving of a 10. wish they had this themed tango season 10 or 11...that would have been another perfect night for Derek.

Never been a fan of Ricki Lake....Derek is THE one in terms of their dancing. He's fabulous...but, aren't we voting on the star, not the professional? And, Derek is not not all conmnected with Ricki. He was so connected with Jennifer Grey....affectionate, warm, even rocking her after their dances. I don't see anything like that with Ricki...Derek is doing his job well, going through the paces, earning his money and doing the best he can for someone who is awkard, cold, and dependant.

What was Derek's problem on S10? Somebody should've whipped his Butt!! The way he treated S10 dwts Nicole dancing The Tango, It was too violent..IMO, He became "PSYCHO" I stop voting, because she looked injured. I couldn't believe Tom,The Judges, pros and The casts didn't say anything about the violence.
@Davette7ify1 It's called ACTING. The slap and the "violence" you talk about was part of the routine. They were rumoured to have had an affair during DWTS and they are reportedly dating now.
@06s091 It's obvious, "Pretty Woman" is abt violence, It was in the opening scenes of the film as she walked the streets of Los Angeles soliciting johns. I can't stop watching this!!! It is so hauntingly beautiful. This is the most entertaining dance i have ever seen. Rickie and Derek are outstanding, and are dressed so sleek and elegant. How Halloween is this?
My O' my... I never said, he wasn't the Best Choreographer, didn't say he don't deserves the buzz. He won those trophies b/c they were great dancers. He couldn't had won them alone. Yes, The song may not been right for the Foxtrot, but the choreographed danced wasn't that great. Bruno said, why the Roger Rabbit? You can't be a genius every week. It didn't Mesh w/ the Foxtrot. The performances was okay, Ricki's technique was not there... Amazing was Lil' Kim, Nicole & Jen.
Amazing dance derek fantastic choreography he is a dancing genius thats the reason he has won 3 trophies and emmy nominations and ricki wow she is amazing. Terrible song for the foxtrot this week i agree with that it should of been a tempo. derek puts amazing routines together he deserves the buzz and hype and popularity when someone is that good they deserve praise and yes having great celebs who can dance is a bonus but they both make each other good

I think that this was one of THE BEST dances of the season! :) I love Derek! <3 Look, that was a real preformance! That was a show all in one dance! Derek can really create the most magical of things, he's not afraid to take risks with Ricky or with anyone he was parternered up with! He would make them feel comfortable, and show the stars that dancing is very serious work, not just shaking your butt! It is a lot more then that. Derek is a great teacher,dancer and choreographer. Incredible. Did NOT expect that AT ALL. These bigger girls have really been impressing me! ;). GO RICKI and DEREK! I must also say that this was up there with the likes of the Pretty Woman Tango two or three seasons ago with Nicole Scherzinger.
Twenty Nine was a fair score. The choreography was a 30 not doubt but Ricki's performance was not pitch perfect. Watch it again and her head turns are awkward (3:47) sometimes and she even had a mistake at least once (3:20) with an extra head turn. Her tradition off the floor or even on the floor was odd at 2:50 BUT the choreography was BRILLIANT. She was great but not brilliant.
@flenif2247 I think that Ricki is above great. Sure, not brilliant, but pretty darn close! Also, I get the feeling that her head turns at 3:47 were supposed to be awkward. She was supposed to be displaying psychosis. In my opinion, I think that the head turns went perfectly with the theme/music.
My favorite tango was the team tango with Donny Osmond, Kelly Osbourne, et al...until now. Who'd have thought a tango to that iconic score?! Yes, "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was perfect for a paso, but "Psycho" for a tango? Derek is a genius, and Ricki is an awesome partner!
This is definetly one of the great DWTS performances of all time! It ranks right up there with Drew and Cheryls freestyle, Drew and Cheryls Paso and Helio and Juliannes quickstep.
Derek is just the best, I think anyone with him for a partner has a big advantage, Ricki danced it beautifully!!! And did you know all the money she is making here is going to charity!!!!
I was honestly against Ricki/Derek the whole season just because I was tired of seeing Derek win each season. I was so sure Derek would finally not win after watching week 1. But they did finally win me over with this dance.
Definitely one of my favorite tangos. One of the main reasons I watch DWTS is to see the tangos, and this one didn't disappoint. They did a great job bringing the tension and drama of the dance.
Derek always gets the cougars lol or partners that are just a few years older than him! Has he ever had a partner younger than him? I don't think he has haha
Derek is fantastic because he never gets a Chloris or Nancy. When he can win with someone like them and not young, a dancer or, someone who has done musicals on film or broadway... Then I'll give him some props.
@CandyAppleRed13 WHAT are you serious brooke wasnt a dancer at all. derek defintely deserves props plus you need chemistry with your partner . Derek is fantastic teacher choreographer and dancer he brings out the best in all his partners if ricki lake continues dancing like this she deserves to win not rule out because derek won 3 times. Im a HUGE fAN and to me the show is not worth watching if derek had a dud star hes too good for that.

@Jjarthon Ricki is pretty much the same as Nancy though. She's got over ten on derek and she lost a lot of weight too during this. People are acting like he gets pretty little models when he normally gets someone older.
@Jjarthon please explain to me how the producers know if a celebrity will be able to dance just by looking at them?! I am soo tired of hearing this every season that Derek is on. Derek is AMAZING. period. he brings out the best in every partner he has. just because he has won 3 times doesnt mean that the show is rigged, and the producers only give him "good partners" Derek can turn anyone into a dancer, whether its an 18 year old or 60 year old. That's just how great he is.
@Jjarthon he also is a fantastic choreographer so whether the song sucks or the dance isnt a favorite he always makes it good and entertaining. And I'll add that he does all that with class. He knows he has a lot of fans, he knows he has the most trophies out of anyone on the show, and he still remains humble. And I will also add that his partners always give it their all. Ricki is devoted and that is why she can go all the way.
@CandyAppleRed13 Someone not young? Ricki is in her 40's and Jennifer is in her 50's, I would harder say they were young. Lil kim is ten years older than him and Jennie, Brooke and Shannon are more than 10 years older than him. He is rarely paired up with people his own age, even Nicole and Joanna were around 5 years older than him.
I just can't get enough of this dance it was awesome. My mother got me watching last season when Derek wasn't there, and my mother would always talk about how good he is and now that he's back I get to see it for myself. I just want to say GO RICKI!!! Like how they used to do on her talk show back in the day.

It's not Derek who wins it's the celebrities he's with. That's why it's called "Dancing with the Stars" not "Dancing with the Choreographers." I really loved this dance and Ricki was great. They make a good team.
Thanks, Len...You gave them the correct score, and you also pointed out Ricki's neck..It was really in a weird position. Once, again Carrie's so biased. She gave S11 Brandy a nine for her waltz criticizing her neck, which btw wasn't as bad as Ricki's neck. Overall, Ricki did a really good job...Congrats, Ricki you pulled it off.

Best dance of the season so far.. It was exciting and intricate and haunting.. and just plain GENIUS!! Derek has always been my favorite pro.. He's just so amazingly talented and brilliant and knows how to bring out the best in his partners. And Ricki is an amazing person and partner and dancer!! Go Team Ricki and Derek!!!!
what brilliant choreography! from beginning to end it was a great homage to Hitch's Pyscho. The ability to combine the tango and a piece of horror movie music demonstrates why this guy wins.
I get annoyed when ppl say let someone else win well if Derek and his partner is great then they deserve to win no matter how many trophies he already have it's just ridiculous Derek is a brilliant choreographer and so are a lot of other pros like Maks, karina, Ton,y Mark etc but I think Derek creativity is better If JR wins ok he wins he is a great dancer and Karina is good also along with Derek and Ricki as of Now those 2 are my top 2 for the finale

What was Derek's problem on S10? Somebody should've whipped his Butt!! The way he treated S10 dwts Nicole dancing The Tango, It was too violent..IMO, He became "PSYCHO" I stop voting, because she looked injured. I couldn't believe Tom,The Judges, pros and The casts didn't say anything about the violence.

@06s091 It's obvious, "Pretty Woman" is abt violence, It was in the opening scenes of the film as she walked the streets of Los Angeles soliciting johns. So yes, Nicole & Derek was ACTING out a scene, the slapped was part of it but IMO, it turned VIOLENT...u can clearly see he was angry when she slapped him hard, at the end of the dance she looks like she was in pain & she couldn't move, b/c her joints wasn't in their sockets. I just think he got angry & manhandled her almost causing injuries.

@06s091 If you noticed when Brooke was interviewing them, Nicole said something like, "That was TOTALLY unexpected!" as if she didn't expect Derek to hit her so hard on her buttock, knowing they was acting...And at the end of the dance, It just looked odd to me.
You're not telling me something I don't already know. I heard/read the same articles, if true, it still doesn't prove anything...Just saying, plenty women are in abusive relationships. This my Opinion & I'm done with this topic. Peace!

@raggydoll222 You see, I’ve never given it a thought. I felt Derek MANHANDLED her; b/c she looked like, she was hurt at the end of the dance. Along with the comments Nicole & Derek said during & after their interview getting their scores That's what caused me to see the violence. I remember an interview of S11 Maks explaining to Brandy abt their Tango, and had a change of heart, realizing I was wrong for assuming. My O' my... I never said, he wasn't the Best Choreographer, didn't say he don't deserves the buzz. He won those trophies b/c they were great dancers. He couldn't had won them alone. Yes, The song may not been right for the Foxtrot, but the choreographed danced wasn't that great. Bruno said, why the Roger Rabbit? You can't be a genius every week. It didn't Mesh w/ the Foxtrot. The performances was okay, Ricki's technique was not there... Amazing was Lil' Kim, Nicole & Jen.

Amazing dance derek fantastic choreography he is a dancing genius thats the reason he has won 3 trophies and emmy nominations and ricki wow she is amazing. Terrible song for the foxtrot this week i agree with that it should of been a tempo. derek puts amazing routines together he deserves the buzz and hype and popularity when someone is that good they deserve praise and yes having great celebs who can dance is a bonus but they both make each other good

And I guarantee people here, is agreeing they wrong song for having a not so perfect foxtrot.. Sorry Derek, It was the choreography...why put "the Running Man" in a Foxtrot? That wasn't the smartest choreography.. Then, he was trying to take the blame for messing up the "Running Man" when everyone knew Ricki messed it up..Bruno was like,Okay...I was like, Huh?What? C'mon! I'm so glad Ricki stood there, and told the truth...I'm just sayin'

I think that this was one of THE BEST dances of the season! :) I love Derek! <3 Look, that was a real preformance! That was a show all in one dance! Derek can really create the most magical of things, he's not afraid to take risks with Ricky or with anyone he was parternered up with! He would make them feel comfortable, and show the stars that dancing is very serious work, not just shaking your butt! It is a lot more then that. Derek is a great teacher,dancer and choreographer. Twenty Nine was a fair score. The choreography was a 30 not doubt but Ricki's performance was not pitch perfect. Watch it again and her head turns are awkward (3:47) sometimes and she even had a mistake at least once (3:20) with an extra head turn. Her tradition off the floor or even on the floor was odd at 2:50 BUT the choreography was BRILLIANT. She was great but not brilliant.

@flenif2247 I think that Ricki is above great. Sure, not brilliant, but pretty darn close! Also, I get the feeling that her head turns at 3:47 were supposed to be awkward. She was supposed to be displaying psychosis. In my opinion, I think that the head turns went perfectly with the theme/music.

My favorite tango was the team tango with Donny Osmond, Kelly Osbourne, et al...until now. Who'd have thought a tango to that iconic score?! Yes, "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was perfect for a paso, but "Psycho" for a tango? Derek is a genius, and Ricki is an awesome partner!

This is definetly one of the great DWTS performances of all time! It ranks right up there with Drew and Cheryls freestyle, Drew and Cheryls Paso and Helio and Juliannes quickstep.

Definitely one of my favorite tangos. One of the main reasons I watch DWTS is to see the tangos, and this one didn't disappoint. They did a great job bringing the tension and drama of the dance.

Derek is fantastic because he never gets a Chloris or Nancy. When he can win with someone like them and not young, a dancer or, someone who has done musicals on film or broadway... Then I'll give him some props.

Derek is fantastic teacher choreographer and dancer he brings out the best in all his partners if ricki lake continues dancing like this she deserves to win not rule out because derek won 3 times. Im a HUGE fAN and to me the show is not worth watching if derek had a dud star hes too good for that.

@Jjarthon please explain to me how the producers know if a celebrity will be able to dance just by looking at them?! I am soo tired of hearing this every season that Derek is on. Derek is AMAZING. period. he brings out the best in every partner he has. just because he has won 3 times doesnt mean that the show is rigged, and the producers only give him "good partners" Derek can turn anyone into a dancer, whether its an 18 year old or 60 year old. That's just how great he is.

@Jjarthon he also is a fantastic choreographer so whether the song sucks or the dance isnt a favorite he always makes it good and entertaining. And I'll add that he does all that with class. He knows he has a lot of fans, he knows he has the most trophies out of anyone on the show, and he still remains humble. And I will also add that his partners always give it their all. Ricki is devoted and that is why she can go all the way.

Lil kim is ten years older than him and Jennie, Brooke and Shannon are more than 10 years older than him. He is rarely paired up with people his own age, even Nicole and Joanna were around 5 years older than him.

I just can't get enough of this dance it was awesome. My mother got me watching last season when Derek wasn't there, and my mother would always talk about how good he is and now that he's back I get to see it for myself. I just want to say GO RICKI!!! It's not Derek who wins it's the celebrities he's with. That's why it's called "Dancing with the Stars" not "Dancing with the Choreographers." I really loved this dance and Ricki was great. They make a good team.

Thanks, Len...You gave them the correct score, and you also pointed out Ricki's neck..It was really in a weird position. Once, again Carrie's so biased. She gave S11 Brandy a nine for her waltz criticizing her neck, which btw wasn't as bad as Ricki's neck. Overall, Ricki did a really good job...Congrats, Ricki you pulled it off.

Best dance of the season so far.. It was exciting and intricate and haunting.. and just plain GENIUS!! Derek has always been my favorite pro.. I get annoyed when ppl say let someone else win well if Derek and his partner is great then they deserve to win no matter how many trophies he already have it's just ridiculous Derek is a brilliant choreographer and so are a lot of other pros like Maks, karina, Ton,y Mark etc but I think Derek creativity is better If JR wins ok he wins he is a great dancer and Karina is good also along with Derek and Ricki as of Now those 2 are my top 2 for the finale
