Is there any other fish like the Betta that dont require an airstone, that are compatible to live with the Betta? Will a paradise fish be fine in the same aquarium say a 5gl or 10gl?
ever try bettas soup before..... well if you haven't you're out of luck..... first boil hot water, add 3 tbsp of salt (once it's mix include 5 bettas still alive), cook for bout 5 mins then add some green onion and lemon grass, if you like you can add some crush red pepper to enhance the flavor..... well there you have it home made bettas fish soup..... hahaha
if ur betta is a tail nibbler, make sure u dont have him in a rounded container first off, it gives them a distorted reflection and make them do stuff like that
@mrjosh02233 Bettas live for about 2 years. Goldfish can live for decades... expect at least 10 years or so with good care. One gf needs 20 gallons, and each additional needs another 10 gallons. So unless you have a big tank, you'd probably want a betta.
My betta is a tailbiter too, he goes at his fins whenever I'm away for a weekend. I have people feed him and stuff, but I guess he just gets lonely.... You've got a beautiful tank and fish. [:
bettas tend to nibble off their fins if their stressed out or don't like their environment. He probably stopped biting when you added the colorful decors.

If he's lonely, just buy some Neon Tetras as a friend. They get along with bettas well.

I had mine in a 10 gallon with a bunch of feeder fish! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
believe me... the feeders learned quickly the habits of the betta!
