  • Hey girls/women(no matter what skin colour) thumbs up if you want a Japanese boyfriend/husband ♥ .

  • In reality most Japanese girls don't like Caucasian men, but Caucasian men thought Japanese girls love them, how naive the men are, dumpass take Hollywood movie stories and dating websites articles seriously

  • Such pretly young ladies and the cosplay is lovely.

  • :{D

  • I still prefer the old TAKE NO KO style from 1980s Harajuku...

  • and don't forget hokoten (RIP Harajuku public music...)

  • Happy Halloween!!! LOL

  • MMMM 1:44

    Ah the memories

  • omg it's Hamasaki Ayumi at the beginning of the vid!

  • Cutest girls in the world.

  • Nice video. Even when i am sooo far from japan this kind of videos lets us to see the more closer and more of the culture of other countries. I know Japan has much more to offer, but this side of the young culture is something you cant find easily in the books and its very different of my country. Well does anyone knows the song which starts the video, i mean the first one. I am in love of Yukie Nakama i dont know if she is famous there but i would marry her.

  • XD I love their outfits (and Kyo is awesome teehee)

  • Mana cosplay, 1.13!

  • my aunt works in shibuya and i go to harajuku like twice evrytime i go to japan

  • he look like he just jumped out of an anime 0.0! 2:27

    awesomeeeeee.

  • He's cosplaying as the vocalist Kyo from Dir en grey.

  • hahaha i love it when ppl argue on video comments.(below)

well im half white and half japanese and i use to live in japan and had no problem with the ppl there.

  • oh really???

  • what meaning do japenese girl give to the ''victory or peace'' sign? just wondering

  • Pizzicato Five 4 music? :-D

  • I know it's Pizzicato Five something.

  • 1:29 MANA O_O

  • lol...I thought the same thing. xD

  • So, do those decora (harajuku) girls just hang out over there all day or what? And also, is it always crowded like that in public, or is something special happening? I don't think I could handle that amount of human density lol

  • They hang out there all day and maybe work during night or have no job and live with mom or something. There is conservative mainstream culture and there is alternative strange culture - when you first experience Japan it seems that the divide is very clear and wide. However, you will soon figure out that the mainstream culture is blended with the alternative culture more than you would think. Take for example middle-aged businessmen going to video game arcades as often as bars after work.

  • The Japanese usually do not like to consider themselves asian. This is probably due to some racism to other people in older times. Though those are the much older generation. The younger one are extremely curious about the world around them and are extremely wonderful people. Though some rare older people make public negative verbal comments on other races. Though ones directed to white westerners are extremely rare.

  • i just returned from a 2 week stay in tokyo....i felt in love with this city....seriously.

in fact there are no ugly girls.....maybe 1% of them are not fuckable xD......

but the best one are still running around in shibuy@ 109 (that fashion store) boooom what girls....

i really love this country :-D

  • are you stupid? there are plenty of westen-hating people in japan and plenty of white jokes

  • Yeah there are "many" western-hating people in japan. Westerners who have lived there for many years seem to only find racism when they go out looking for it. Chinese and Koreans on the other hand have a very hard time there. Chinese are aleays stereotyped as criminals for the men and protitutes for women. Comparatively white people have a much better deal. Though white westerners are more respected. In the end its just the same as anywhere else in the west.

  • i disagree. If but anything, it should be the other way around, due to the huge massacre of nanking by hte japanese imperial army, that and hte largest china town is in JApan, and they enjoy chinese food, and alot of their language and literature is from China. I would say westerners are more discriminated as they are more "differnet"

  • Note we are talking about discrimination though what I am saying makes it seems more rampant than it actually is. Discrimination of chinese is still rare comparatively Japanese are not that ignorant anymore to make such assumptions. Your idea of westerners are discriminated more than chinese is completely and utterly wrong. If you call a conservative japanese person "Asian" he would be furious because it groups him with the likes of Koreans and Chinese.

  • shibuya is awesome, i want to be there n.n

  • asians are soo cool

  • asians? lol. or Japanese? Cause "Asian" is like half of the world.

  • japan is still in asia

  • NO WAY i wan japanese also :D

  • LOL ahahha

  • they are really beautiful, but ,,the best of the world???,I don't think so!!!

  • Truly, Japanese girls is the most beautiful in the world, ^____^

  • a lot of those girls do not look good with blonde hair.

  • Thank you very much!

  • hey camlproductions, what is the name of the song? ^^

  • They're from the group, "Pizzicato Five" - the first one is from the album, "Happy End of the World" and the second is called "Happy Sad"

  • The girls in Shibuya were doing some kind of modeling shoot but the Harajuku girls dress up, pose and wait for their photos to be taken.

  • ok, like I understood so then. thanks for replying but why would you delete my comment? :(

  • It wasn't intentional. I clicked remove instead of reply and after I realized I had done this it was too late.

  • japan always impresses me, I wanna visit!

  • shibuya my dream to go there its my paradise im in nyc

  • haha. dir en grey cosplayers at the end, gotta love 'em for trying. :]

  • Shibuya is great but its 1 station from Harajuku

on the Green line circle Lots of wild style people and real cartoon characters Shibuya has hot chicks all over the place Love hotels and HMV 109 /...\ ' '''' '' ''

  • Are the Harajuku girls mainly found in Shibuya?

  • The two groups are found in Shibuya and Harajuku which are two separate areas in Tokyo.

  • I'll come with you!

let's get on a plane already!

  • Sounds lyk a plan!!

  • Yeeeaaa !

  • hey people let's all go to japan!

  • what's the name of the 2 songs in this video?

  • They're from the group, "Pizzicato Five" - the first one is from the album, "Happy End of the World" and the second is called "Happy Sad"

  • its kinda freaky how you record those people

  • oh wow this is a really old video

  • aw i wan to go Jap badly

i hav those kind of clothes

but in australia there s no celebration such as that

    so cant wear

    aw what a waste

  • *beautiful sorry

  • they're really beautyfull. It's funny- in shibuya one of these shops was all in pink, in harajuku girls are more 'dark'

  • What, jealous?

  • They are rejecting the culture of their parents, where the women stayed home and the men went and worked almost 24/7. Kids in Japan aren't getting permanent jobs (just part-time ones), they aren't having kids, and they aren't moving out. It's considered a huge problem - but they don't want to lead the lives of their parents and many of the PARENTS don't want their children living that way either. They want their kids to be happy. Rejecting traditional roles is what this scene is about.

  • Goths listen to Goth. Punks listen to Punk. Harajuku girls listen to Visual Kei. Some of the girls are dressed up as the members of their favorite bands, other just dress in the associate fashion styles (like Decora, Lolita, and Goth and Punk influnced styles).

1:27 - Mana (left) Közi (right) from Malice Mizer.

2:26 - Kyo from Dir en Grey

Watch the Video for Gekka no Yakusoku by Malice Mizer and Yurameki by Dir en Grey, then come back and watch this video.

  • why do they do that? i mean dress like that? just for fun?

  • In my opinion, i prefer the look of the more conservative dressed japanese people

  • god, i can't wait to go there.

  • damn!!!

i like that outfit thats red and looks like a joker

now i know what i wanna be for halloween

    hahaha

  • Harajuku owns

  • wow some could really pass off as mana and kyo

  • lol the first poster is Ayumi Hamasaki, my fav singer!

  • lotz ppl cos like MANA.cool~~

  • Waaa! Sugoi! Harajuku daisuki!

  • Man I saw so many Malice Mizer and Dir en grey cosplays!

  • 2:27 what a hottie

  • Does anyone know the artist or names of the songs featured in this video?

  • They're from the group, "Pizzicato Five" - the first one is from the album, "Happy End of the World" and the second is called "Happy Sad"
