Liberty is judged on the horses motion, use of the arena, using all gaits and the animals balance and natural ability. Also the catch is important and the music should match the cadence of the horse.
I show American Classic Shetlands and Liberty is one of my favorite classes. At the ASPC/AMHR shows we have 1:30 at liberty to music and 2 minutes to catch the pony.
Do you think you could post this without putting a song over it? I would like to hear the crowd to be honest. But even so, thanks for posting this. Do you have Apaladin+? I wanna see him, he was supposed be in the class last year, but he was a no-show. And I was actually there last year.
They were saving Apaladin for Sunday morning halter last year, he won the Open Stallion Halter 8 & over. He had also won the liberty the year before, which is why I assume they decided to scratch him. He had nothing to prove.
I was there for his halter stuff. That was really cool. I got great shot of him entering the arena in the Stallion Championship class. I'm working on a video of all of my photography, and it'll be in there if you want to see it. And I also found a video on YouTube of the 2008 Liberty, which includes Apaladin. So that was cool.

I just don't get the premise of Liberty classes, LOL. But he is a very pretty horse!
