My father, before he was my father, went to war - he was in the Royal Airforce in Myanmar which was, of course, called Burma in those days of the WWII - fighting the Japanese - he was never the same again.

We must never cease to fight war not wars.

I saw it some other vids of yours and, I want to know if your using a yellow base coat or is it metallic or even gold leaf that would be cool, gold would give it a shine like illuminated bibles, if it's yellow is it because of Sergent's work? While most believe white (the absence of color) to be the best base Sergent believed it to be yellow, weird artist, lol:), maybe he's right but I don't understand why?

I use both metallic ( on tweet tweet) this one was a burnt yellow base with a med. I LOVE Sergents work there is a gallery close to me and I could stare for hours at his stuff. He had that whole hand thing down to perfection. I am so happy you shared that with me I never knew. : D .
