@NorthPhillyLivin Yes - shin splints are simply really really sore anterior tibialis muscles. You get them from running (the deceleration of your ankle as it hits the ground is like doing thousands of negative reps with your "shin" or anterior tib muscles). Alternate running with elliptical, rowing, or cycling until your anterior tibs get stronger.
